Los Angeles Rams NFL Draft 2025 pick tracker: Grades, fits and scouting reports

New York Times24-04-2025
The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2025 NFL Draft on April 24 with eight picks over the three-day draft.
A year ago, the Rams picked up college teammates Jared Verse and Braden Fiske in Rounds 1 and 2 to bolster the defensive line. Verse was the Defensive Rookie of the Year and Fiske was third in voting. Not bad. GM Les Snead and Sean McVay would love finding difference-makers like that again in this draft. L.A. added Davante Adams this offseason and lost Cooper Kupp, and strengthening the receiver room could be the choice in Round 1 — or Round 2 if they trade back from the 26th spot. An offensive tackle, cornerback and linebacker are also on the Rams' want list.
Keep coming back here throughout the draft for grades and analysis of each Rams pick.

Steelers connected to former Aaron Rodgers teammate in trade with Packers

Steelers connected to former Aaron Rodgers teammate in trade with Packers originally appeared on The Sporting News The Pittsburgh Steelers have been connected to a trade with the Green Bay Packers involving a former teammate of Aaron Rodgers. Newsweek's Evan Massey lists the Steelers as a potential landing spot for Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs. Doubs could be the odd man out [in the Packers' wide receiver room]. In a contract year, Green Bay could choose to ship him off to a wide receiver-needy team for draft capital," Massey wrote. The Steelers could use another capable player in the wide receiver room, as the team lacks starting-caliber options outside of DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin, who primarily operates in the slot. Doubs is entering the final year of his deal in 2025, and the Packers receiver group is loaded with young talent, so the 25-year-old could become expendable. Despite playing in just 13 games last year, Doubs nearly posted a career year with 46 receptions for 601 yards and four touchdowns. In 2023, the Nevada product played all 17 games and snagged 59 catches for 674 yards and eight touchdowns. During his rookie campaign in 2022 with Rodgers, Doubs was able to post 425 yards and three touchdowns. The former fourth-round pick already has chemistry with the Steelers starting quarterback and shouldn't cost too much to acquire in a deal with Green Bay, making him a logical trade target. Signing Doubs to an extension also shouldn't be too expensive, even if he has a solid 2025 campaign. Pittsburgh needs to bolster the talent in the receiver room, and trading for Doubs is a realistic and savvy answer. The Steelers will kick off the preseason at EverBank Stadium versus the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. We'll see how the receivers perform in that game, which should signal whether Pittsburgh needs to make a move or stay put with what they have. MORE PITTSBURGH STEELERS NEWS Stephen A. Nate Landman shaping up to be Rams' latest quality find at inside linebacker

LOS ANGELES — Nate Landman is shaping up to be exactly what the Los Angeles Rams want at inside linebacker. He has settled in well as an effective communicator and good teammate and looks like a steady contributor on the field. The 26-year-old Landman has been one of the standouts of training camp for the Rams after signing a one-year contract for the veteran minimum salary in March, the kind of cost-effective find at the position that has become something of a trademark during Sean McVay's head coaching tenure in Los Angeles.

Puka Nacua Admits Starstruck Moment With LeBron James

Puka Nacua Admits Starstruck Moment With LeBron James originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is officially an established athlete celebrity in the City of Angels. Even megastar LeBron James got to interact with him. And it was a moment that Nacua admits left him starstruck. The incoming third-year wideout shared the encounter with ESPN Los Angeles following a Rams NFL Training Camp practice. Nacua visited the Lakers and met with James for the first time ever back in February. He reflected back on that moment in meeting one of his favorite athletes of all time. Even admitting he displayed a timid side during the friendly encounter with the Lakers star. "It was the greatest dap up of my life. But I've never been so stressed," Nacua shared during the moment he was about to dap it up with James. He became nervous about how his hand was cupped in describing the moment with the radio panel. But the two star performers embraced each other. He also recalls the message the four-time NBA champion gave him. "He said 'keep doing your thing,'" Nacua said, which got him celebrating with a loud "Yes!" He added how the moment "means something to me." Nacua later included how he reacted once he turned off the lights and called it a night. "I don't think I went to bed that night," Nacua said. "I stayed up for eight extra hours for no reason." Nacua is yet to earn his first pro championship ring. But he's risen as a popular athletic star in L.A. following two stellar NFL campaigns. Including his breakout rookie season that saw 105 receptions for 1,486 yards. He's since become a recognizable figure in Southern California -- including receiving VIP treatment at Laker games while also sitting in the suites for Kings contests. Now James embraced Nacua's presence and own celebrity in L.A. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jul 30, 2025, where it first appeared.
