Lincoln sign centre-back Bradley after Derby exit
Lincoln City have signed Sonny Bradley on a two-year deal after the centre-back was released by Championship club Derby County at the end of the season.Bradley last featured for the Rams in January, with the 33-year-old seeing out the final months of the season - and his Derby contract - on loan with Wycombe Wanderers in League One.He made 41 of his 50 appearances for Derby in his first season at Pride Park in 2023-24, helping them win promotion back to the Championship after two seasons in the third tier.Lincoln will be the ninth club that Bradley has featured for in a 15-year professional career that started with Hull City and has also included stints at Luton Town, Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle.
Bradley will be reunited with former Luton and Rams team-mate James Collins, the striker who spearhead Derby's promotion from League One 12 months ago, as well as assistant coach Chris Cohen, who he previously worked with at the Hatters. He says both played a part in convincing him to make the move."It was straightforward decision after speaking to people I already know at the club," Bradley told BBC Radio Lincolnshire."A couple of quick conversations with James Collins, Chris Cohen and a the manager as well, and I was happy and in for a medical."When I do follow James about, it only brings success. It did at Luton and did at Derby so hopefully we can do the same here."I'm just looking forward to getting started now."Bradley is the first summer addition made by Lincoln, with his arrival coming a day after 17-year-old winger Zane Okoro signed his first professional deal with the club.

Brentford stand firm on Bryan Mbeumo price tag with Man Utd edging closer to signing 20-goal star
BRENTFORD are demanding Manchester United cough up £65million for Bryan Mbeumo. The Red Devils saw their second bid of £55m before add-ons of £7.5m knocked back on Friday, but remain confident of striking a deal. 3 United had already seen an opening bid of £45m rejected. Brentford are now holding out for a total package of £65m, meaning there is only a small gap in valuations at this point. As SunSport revealed earlier this month, Mbeumo's preference has always been a move to Old Trafford. That is despite departed Bees boss Thomas Frank wanting to take the Cameroon international to Tottenham. United have already spent £62.5m on Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, who joined from Wolves as their first signing of a crucial summer. Talks are now continuing between United and Brentford over Mbeumo 's move, a deal which would smash the Bees club record sale. Mbeumo made the switch to England in 2019 when he joined Brentford from French outfit Troyes. Tyson Fury's true feelings on retirement revealed following conversations with WBC president
Tyson Fury insists he's retired... but that doesn't mean he's at peace. The Gypsy King has kept up regular contact with WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman since hanging up his gloves for the fourth time following his second defeat by Oleksandr Usyk in December last year. And while Fury is adamant he's done with boxing, it's clear the decision in that rematch — when all three judges called the fight 116-112 to Usyk — still stings. Sulaiman told Sky Sports this week: 'I call him regularly and he said: "Oh I'm so happy, retired, I'm here with my wife." 'He didn't hint whatsoever that he was planning on coming back. 'He told me he was not happy with the decision in the second fight with Usyk. He's still very bitter about the judges' scoring and he was very upset but he was retired, that's what he said.' It's a glimpse into the mindset of a fighter who has danced with retirement almost as often as he has with his rivals in the ring. Fury may claim he is content to be out of the sport, but the frustration of that unanimous points loss is a reminder that the fire still burns. Even Sulaiman can't rule out a comeback, adding: 'Maybe like in The Godfather, the movie, maybe we'll hear him say: "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!" We don't know…' Despite Fury's insistence that he is retired, the heavyweight division continues to buzz with speculation about another comeback.
