Spanish Teen Being Investigated Over Nude AI Images Of Classmates
The probe was launched after 16 young women at an educational institute in the Valencia region came forward to complain of AI-generated images of them circulating on social media and the internet.
The first complaint was lodged in December by an adolescent who said an AI-generated video and faked photos resembling her "completely naked" were posted on a social media account started under her name.
As more accusations came in, police suspected the images were the work of a student in the same institute, according to a statement by the police.
Tracking the IP addresses used to create the bogus accounts led them to the home of the 17-year-old now under investigation on suspicion of corruption of minors.
It is not the first time that Spanish authorities have detected AI-created pornographic images of minors.
The government in March said it would put forward a law to treat such deepfaked sexual imagery created by AI without consent as a crime.
The bill, which Madrid claims to be a first in Europe, has yet to be passed by the parliament.

Air India Crash Probe: AAIB Ropes In ‘Human Factor Specialists'
This is important, as multiple reports in the Western media have laid the blame on the senior pilot for the AI-171 crash The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has roped in 'human factor specialists" besides others in its ongoing probe into the AI-171 Ahmedabad crash, the government told Parliament on Thursday. This is important, as multiple reports in the Western media have laid the blame on the senior pilot for the AI-171 crash. Both the AAIB and the US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have scotched such reports, appealing to all not to jump to any conclusion. The government has said all the angles are under probe. What government said 'B787 type-rated experienced pilots, type-rated engineers, aviation medicine specialist, human factor specialists and flight recorder specialists have been taken on board as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assist the investigation," minister of state for civil aviation Murlidhar Mohol told Parliament. He added that the preliminary report published on the AAIB website in July does not contain any conclusion. Defects in aircraft The government also told Parliament that a total of 2,094 investigations have been carried out against serious defects or snags reported in various aircraft during the last five years up to June 2025. These were all technical defects—514 reported in 2021, 528 in 2022, 448 in 2023, 421 in 2024, and 183 in 2025. 'All defects which are serious in nature shall be intimated immediately by all operators to DGCA. During the DGCA audit, if it is observed that defects have not been reported by the airline, DGCA initiates investigation and takes appropriate action as per enforcement policy and procedure manual," the government has said. The government also said that there have been a total of eight accidents (involving 1 scheduled aircraft, 3 trainee aircraft and 4 helicopters) reported in the year 2025. These led to the loss of 274 lives, it said. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Donald Trump to help Pakistan build ‘massive oil reserves'! How much known crude oil does it have & how does that compare to India? Top points to know
Exactly which 'massive oil reserves' Trump is referring to is yet unclear. (AI image) US President Donald Trump wants to develop 'massive oil reserves' with Pakistan, and has even said that India may end up being a potential buyer of this oil. Soon after announcing 25% tariffs on India, Trump revealed a trade deal with Pakistan. Exactly which 'massive oil reserves' Trump is referring to is yet unclear. "We have just concluded a deal with the country of Pakistan, whereby Pakistan and the United States will work together on developing their massive oil reserves," Trump posted on Truth Social. "We are in the process of choosing the oil company that will lead this partnership. Who knows, maybe they'll be selling oil to India some day!,' Trump said. Despite Pakistan's persistent claims about significant coastal petroleum deposits, no substantial progress has been made till date in extracting these resources. Pakistan continues its efforts to attract investment for resource exploitation. Oil imports actually make up Pakistan's largest import expenditure at $11.3 billion for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn More - How Donating Sperm May Support Your Income SpellRock Undo According to central bank statistics, this is around 20% of Pakistan's total import expenses. Pakistan's Oil Reserves & 'Discoveries' Based on various assessments, Pakistan's proven conventional crude oil reserves range between 234 million and 353 million barrels, according to a Reuters report. It is ranked 50th globally in crude oil reserves, the report said. To put things in context, the world's largest crude oil reserves are known to be with Venezuela, at 3,03,221 million barrels, according to latest OPEC data. As of 2024, India has known crude oil reserves of 4,981 million barrels, which is over 10 times that of Pakistan. Pakistan's track record in offshore oil exploration has been disappointing. Also, even though it has huge shale oil potential, Pakistan has not ventured into shale oil extraction. A study conducted by the US Energy Information Administration in 2015 indicated that Pakistan has technically recoverable shale oil resources of 9.1 billion barrels, the Reuters report said. In June, the Pakistani national exploration company claimed it had found fresh deposits of oil and gas in the province of Sindh. The Oil & Gas Development Company, which is owned by the state, identified the new reserves in early December at the Faakir-1 wildcat well in Kharo. Also Read | Donald Trump tariffs: Why India's stock market has not crashed, is resilient even after 25% tariff announcement - explained The discovery was made after drilling to a depth of 4,185 metres, the well tested at 6.4 million cubic feet per day of gas and 55 barrels per day of condensate from the Lower Goru formation, according to a PTI report quoting an official. Last year, Pakistan claimed that a significant discovery of oil and natural gas reserves has been made within Pakistan's maritime boundaries. Pakistan had claimed that the potential reserves were so extensive that their development could transform the country's future. A comprehensive underwater survey spanning three years, backed by assistance from a "friendly country," detected substantial underwater formations bearing signatures of oil and gas deposits. These findings, however, remain unverified at present. According to an ET report, without commercial drilling operations, there is no confirmation of the existence, magnitude or grade of these resources. The Indus Basin's structural geology, influenced by tectonic movements and abundant in mudstone deposits, presents favourable conditions for hydrocarbon discoveries. Whilst seismic data analysis indicates substantial source rocks and potential reservoirs, Pakistan's offshore sector has yet to achieve successful extraction. Previous ventures, including the Kekra-1 drilling project have proved unsuccessful. "I extend my deepest gratitude to President Trump @realDonaldTrump for his pivotal role in securing the significant US-Pakistan trade agreement, which our representatives finalised in Washington, last night," he posted on X. "This significant agreement will strengthen our collaborative efforts and broaden the scope of our lasting partnership in the future," he stated. The agreement was concluded at a meeting in Washington, DC, involving Pakistan's Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and US Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer, PTI reported Radio Pakistan as saying. 'Leaving me bleeding on the pavement': Indian-origin AI scientist Santosh Yadav attacked in Dublin, says it's not an isolated incident
Dr Santosh Yadav was injured and his glasses were broken after he was attacked in Dublin. Dr Santosh Yadav, an Indian-origin AI scientist and entrepreneur in Ireland, was attacked by a group of six teenagers from behind, in front of his apartment, leaving him bleeding on the pavement in yet another racist attack on Indians in Ireland. In a long LinkedIn post, DR Yadav showed how his glasses were broken and he was bleeding from his nose after the unprovoked attack that has become common in the country. The incident took place a few days ago when Dr Yadav was walking near his apartment after dinner. "After having dinner, I was walking near my apartment when a group of six teenagers attacked me from behind. They snatched my glasses, breaking them, and then beat me relentlessly across my head, face, neck, chest, hands, and legs—leaving me bleeding on the pavement. I managed to call the Gardaí, and an ambulance took me to Blanchardstown Hospital. The medical team confirmed my cheekbone is fractured, and I have now been referred for specialist care," he said. "This is not an isolated incident. Racist attacks on Indian men and other minorities are surging across Dublin—on buses, in housing estates, and on public streets. Yet, the government is silent. There is no action being taken against these perpetrators. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Container Houses Cote D'ivoire (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search Ads Search Now Undo They run free and are emboldened to attack again," he wrote. Dr Santosh Yadav posted on LinkedIn how he was attacked by a teenage group when he was on his post-dinner walk near his apartment in Dublin. "We deserve to feel safe. We deserve to walk on the streets without fear. I request concrete measures from the Government of Ireland, Embassy of India Dublin, Ministry of External Affairs, India, and Akhilesh Mishra to protect us," he added, tagging Akhilesh Mishra, the Indian ambassador to Ireland. This recent incident took place close on the heels of a similar incident when an Indian who recently shifted to Dublin was attacked by a similar teenage gang that falsely accused him of being a pedophile. They stripped him naked, robbed him of his clothes, shoes, phone, wallet bank cards before leaving him bleeding on the street. A local resident, Jennifer Murray, said she found the victim drenched in blood and she knew that the teenage gang falsely accused him as the man was very polite and deeply embarrassed after being stripped in public. Murray gave him a blanket and waited with him until emergency services arrived.
