Queanbeyan preview, tips: Track stats make a persuasive case
The seven-year-old continues to race with great zest including victories at two of her last four starts.
Almost Persuaded took her record to eight wins from 40 starts when she stormed home under 60.5kg to win by two-and-a-half lengths from More Voltage at Queanbeyan 19 days ago.
'She is unbelievable. She is rising eight but I don't think she has ever gone as good as she is at the moment,' said Potter.
'Even in her trackwork she has got better and that Queanbeyan track, she just loves it.'
Among those eight wins are four at Queanbeyan including a perfect three from three over the 1460m – the same distance that she tackles when she lines up in the Benchmark 82 Handicap with 52kg after the claim of Cailtin Sinclair.

'To be honest, she excels on wet tracks and it's a dry track this weekend. That's my only concern,' he said.
'But the way she is going and having barrier one is going to be massive for her because she can put herself in a spot.
'I have put a set of concussion plates on her just as a precaution.
'She drops eight and a half kilos on that win because she is going from a (benchmark) 58 to an 82 but she won in open company in the Tumut Cup four runs back against some pretty nice horses.
'I feel she is really well placed. If it was wet, I would declare her.'
In the same race, Potter also saddles up Blow In who was a multiple city winner in Melbourne earlier in his career.
'I've only had him for this preparation,' Potter said.
'He started off in Melbourne and won a couple races at Sandown but lost his form and went to Adelaide for a little while before coming here.
'We pushed him out to a mile and he just go beat at Kembla but I believe that stretches him.
'I bought him back to 1200m at Dubbo last Sunday and he went tremendous.'
The son of Fighting Sun settled midfield and worked home well to finish a length-and-a-quarter third behind The Dramatist and Crop Duster.
'I changed his work routine around. I stopped galloping him and started swimming him more and putting him on the treadmill,' he said.

'It really freshened him right up and changed his attitude.
'Kody Nestor rode him last week and said he is ready to win.
'Unfortunately, they are in the same race.
'My question mark with him is the track. He is more of a big track horse because of his racing pattern.
'In saying that, he is fresh and I expect he will be really competitive.
'He is the best credentialed horse in this race by a long way.
'Hopefully they can run one-two.'
Potter is looking forward to Midnight Luna making her debut for the stable in the Class 1 Handicap (1460m).
The four-year-old screed a nice win before close second both at Queanbeyan for former trainer Len Hodgson late last year.
'A good mare of mine, Mick Miladinovic, owns her.
'She had a few feet issues so her brought her here so she can do a bit of swimming.
'I get the feeling she could be a Highway horse. I just want to build her rating up to get into them.
'If she drew a good gate, I would be very confident but it's a bit tricky from out there.
'She is working very well and I have her ready to go first-up.
'If she doesn't win this weekend, she will be winning shortly.'

Moorabbin to the MCG: The magical journey of Wallaby Harry Potter
On Saturday, English-born Harry Potter will step out onto the MCG to represent Australia's Wallabies against the British and Irish Lions in front of a predicted 90,000-strong crowd. But a few months ago, Potter secretly attended another Melbourne rugby ground, albeit a much smaller one with equally enthusiastic fans. In April, the 27-year-old made a surprise visit to Moorabbin Rugby Club – where he played as a junior after moving to Australia from England when he was 10. Club president Ian Nathan said Potter dropped by one night to help three of Moorabbin's junior teams with their training. 'It's amazing to have guys of that calibre come down,' Nathan said. 'It gives the kids a chance to see that even though Melbourne is supposedly not a rugby place, we've got guys playing for Scotland, Samoa, Japan and Australia, representing all parts of the world.' Nathan said Potter spent time with the juniors and offered them advice, saying, 'if you work hard, you can make it anywhere'. 'I think that's great for the kids to hear,' Nathan said. 'You don't have to grow up to be six foot four to be able to play ... that's one of the wonderful things about rugby, because it does cater for all shapes and sizes.' Nathan remembered Potter showing 'signs of being a really good player' in his early days at Moorabbin. The inevitable wizard puns and magic jokes ramped up once he moved back home. (The first J. K. Rowling book was published in 1997, the year the future Wallaby was born, before burgeoning into a literary juggernaut and movie franchise.)

Kembla preview: Commanding Belle ready to chime again
Don't miss out on the headlines from Horse Racing. Followed categories will be added to My News. Robert and Luke Price already have their third straight Kembla trainers premiership wrapped up but are still keen to end the season on a winning note. Headlining the attack for the father and son duo is well-bred filly Commanding Belle who broke through for his first win on her home track nine days ago. After tracking the speed, she eased wide off the bend and quickly raced away to score by a length-and-a-half. 'She was impressive the other day. It was good for her to get a two-year-old win but she got a whole lot of rating points for her trouble,' said Robert Price. Commanding Belle had shown nice ability in placing in two of her first four starts including a third to Rivellino on debut at Randwick. The Form: Complete NSW Racing thoroughbred form, including video replays and all you need to know about every horse, jockey and trainer. Find a winner here! She was also much better than her second placings at Canterbury and in the Group 3 Magic Night at Rosehill to end her first campaign. The daughter of Golden Slipper winner Farnan returns to the same track and distance in the Midway Class 1 Handicap (1300m). 'She is a racing against the older horses this week but she does get a bit of weight relief being a two-year-old and a filly,' Price said. 'She has come through the run very well and he last bit of work on Thursday morning was really nice. 'She will turn up with bells on.' Price said it would pay to forget the last run of Jamarni when he tackles the Class 1 Handicap (1500m). The son of Pride Of Dubai was held up behind runners and wasn't able to be tested when ninth to Autumn Dream last week. Prior to that, he placed in consecutive runs over 1300m before scoring his first win over 1500m in a Super Maiden at Hawkesbury. 'He got trapped in behind them and was a victim of horses coming back in his lap,' he said. 'He was a little bit shy in amongst them the other day and needs some sort of head gear so we have elected to go with the winkers this week. 'It's quite a strong race but he is in it up to his ears. 'He worked nicely on Thursday morning and should have no trouble with the quick back-up because he didn't get knocked around the other day. 'He has drawn a nice, soft gate to get a good run and he will be very competitive.' The stable is chasing a reward with both Zoustrong and Autumn Heir in the Inglis Xtra Bonus Series Provincial Maiden Handicap (1500m). Zoustrong only made his race debut on June 27 at Moruya where he finished seventh behind Teepee Princess before an improved run when third to Commanding Belle. 'We are asking a lot of him. It's only his third race start but he raced well the other day,' said Price. 'We are talking a leap of faith with him because it's an Inglis Bonus race which he is eligible for. 'I think he is going to be positive with us not wanting him to be because of the way raced last start. 'He has come through the run with flying colours so we are happy to give him his chance.' Autumn Heir is also in his first campaign but has had a little more race experience with four runs, finishing just behind the placegetters in his last two. 'He will be some sort of chance in this race too. He never had a whole pile of luck the other day. 'He is going to want 2000 metres eventually but we have kept him nice and fresh. Hopefully he is sharp enough for the 1500 metres.'
