MEPMA resource persons told to make P4 success
During the meeting, MEPMA resource persons (RPs) met principal secretary S Suresh Kumar and mission director of MEPMA N Tej Bharath and expressed their gratitude to the government for revoking the previous administration's order, which had imposed fixed three-year service tenure. This decision, they stated, has significantly enhanced their job security and boosted their morale. The RPs reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to the economic empowerment of women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
Later, the principal secretary, who also chairs the executive committee, addressing the resource persons said that the core objective of the P4 scheme is to economically uplift the poorest 20 per cent of families in Andhra Pradesh. He urged all RPs and MEPMA staff to actively work towards achieving this crucial goal.
A review was also conducted on the utilisation of the 'Mahila Kasham' mobile app, provided on tablets to RPs to streamline their field operations. The principal secretary further recommended optimal utilisation of the MLCC module available on the MEPMA website. He explained that this module would expedite the loan sanction process by enabling banks and MEPMA staff to complete the process online, which would also help prevent fraudulent or duplicate loan applications. The executive committee also discussed key aspects of the human resource policy within the MEPMA department and made several important decisions.

Tirupati: Settingan inspiring example of compassionate governance, Tirupati District Collector Dr S Venkateswar has adopted five 'Bangaru Kutumbalu' (Golden Families) under the Andhra Pradesh government's prestigious P-4 (People's Participation for Progress & Prosperity) initiative, with the goal of bringing meaningful and lasting change to their lives. As part of this initiative, the Collector adopted four families from Nakkala Colony near Tiruchanur and one family from Daminedu. The adopted families include those of S Savithramma and Elumalai family, Vedavalli, Vijaya Shanti, Vishnu Anita, Gangothri and Babu family, Ambika, Nandu, Veerabhadra and Chinnathambi family, Balaram, Anita, Karpaswamy, Gandhi, and Santhi family, and Vijaya Santhi, Babu, Dhanush and Yogi family from Daminedu. On Friday, the families met with Dr Venkateswar and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for his support and assurance of assistance. The Collector pledged to extend all necessary help to improve their economic conditions, health, education and employment opportunities. He stated that their welfare would be ensured through coordinated efforts involving various government welfare departments, along with his personal support. Highlighting the broader goal of the initiative, the Collector encouraged government officials, elected representatives and social workers to adopt at least one family as part of their social responsibility. 'If everyone takes up this responsibility, it will significantly contribute to rural development,' he said. Dr Venkateswar added that the programme aims to establish direct connections between the administration and the public, ensuring active and inclusive implementation of developmental initiatives. Recently, the Collector said that the P4 survey identified 80,331 low-income families as 'Bangaru Kutumbalu', and guidelines have been issued to promote their adoption by mentors through coordination with municipal commissioners and MPDOs.

‘Noble' persons urged to act as mentors for ‘Bangaru Kutumbalu'
Paderu (ASR District): Ministerfor Tribal Welfare and Women & Child Development Gummadi Sandhya Rani appealed to individuals with noble intentions to come forward and act as mentors to the selected 'Bangaru Kutumbalu' under the P4 programme. She said that mentorship does not mean financial aid alone, but includes sharing knowledge, inspiring confidence, and helping families access better growth opportunities. The Minister conducted a review of Swarnandhra Vision 2047 and P4 programme at the district Collectorate in Paderu on Friday. Speaking at the meeting, she said the 'Bangaru Kutumbam–Margadarsi' initiative was conceptualised and implemented by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with a generous vision to uplift poor families. Only economically disadvantaged families should be identified under the scheme, she said, and stressed the need to guide their children towards quality education and skill development. The Minister also stressed the importance of helping such families secure bank loans and ensuring that the funds are used effectively. She mentioned that she had recentlyrequested the TTD Chairman to procure tribal products like coffee, tamarind, and turmeric to promote local produce and ensure market support. Sandhya Rani announced that the P4 programme would be implemented from the village level and noted that improving dairy production through the establishment of 100 Gokulams (cow shelters) in each mandal would boost rural development. Highlighting infrastructure works, she said road development projects worth Rs 1,000 crore were underway across the district. She also urged the release of ITDA subsidies for the benefit of tribal communities and called for focused efforts on organic farming. She instructed officials to expedite the distribution of ROFR (Recognition of Forest Rights) land titles and ensure the availability of essential medicines and medical equipment in tribal healthcare facilities. As part of the P4–Bangaru Kutumbam–Margadarsi initiative, Minister Sandhya Rani announced the adoption of ten families, declaring that she would personally mentor them. District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar gave a detailed digital presentation on the roadmap for Swarnandhra Vision 2047, including plans to achieve a 15% growth rate by 2029. He explained strategies across sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, coffee, and industry, and mentioned that organic production would be enhanced in a phased manner over the next five years. He described Araku Coffee as a prime example of India's organic excellence. A poster on the P4 programme was unveiled during the meeting. District SP Amit Bardar, Joint Collector Dr MJ Abhishek Gowda, Paderu Sub-Collector Saurya Maan Patel, and Rampachodavaram MLA Miriyala Sirisha Devi also participated.

P4 is a grand step in social development, says Collector
District Collector S. Venkateswar on Friday said that the State government's ambitious P4 (People's Participation in Progress and Prosperity) programme is a grand step in social development. He formally announced the adoption of five families under the 'Bangaru Kutumbalu' concept, including four families from the Shikari community residing in Nakkala colony of Tiruchanur and one from Daminedu, all in the vicinity of the Tirupati District Collectorate. The members-led by the family heads S. Savitramma, Vedavalli, Ambika, Balaram and Vijayashanti gathered at the Collectorate and profusely thanked Mr. Venkateswar for the gesture. The Collector said that steps would be taken to assess the economic condition of the families and suitable interventions would be taken to improve their education, health, employment and living standards.
