Pharma distributor arrested in Hyderabad for selling counterfeit anti-epileptic drugs
Following his arrest, Manish Kumar was produced before the X Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court in Secunderabad. The court remanded him to judicial custody until July 23. He has since been lodged at Chanchalguda Jail, said a release.
The seizure was made during a raid conducted on July 4 on the premises of Arvind Pharma Distributors, located in the SBI Staff Colony, Gandhinagar. Acting on intelligence inputs, DCA officials discovered counterfeit versions of 'Levipil 500', an anti-epileptic drug used in the treatment of seizures. A comparative analysis with a genuine batch confirmed the tablets were counterfeit, as verified by Sun Pharma Laboratories.

Patna: Two people went missing after a boat capsized at the Triveni Sangam of the Punpun river under Fatuha police station area of Patna on Sunday. UP man dies of electrocution, family tries to revive him with flour, rolling pin
An incident of blind faith surfaced in Begusarai on Thursday when the family members of a victim attempted to revive him by rubbing his body with flour, powder, and a rolling pin inside the hospital premises. The entire footage was captured on video and is now going viral on social to reports, the victim, Manish Kumar, was electrocuted while repairing on a four-wheeler near on Sunday afternoon. He was reportedly performing welding work when his hand accidentally came in contact with an overhead electric wire, resulting in a severe electric family members immediately rushed him to a private hospital, from where he was referred to Begusarai Sadar Hospital. Upon arrival, doctors examined him and declared him dead. However, refusing to accept the diagnosis, the grieving family accused the doctors of negligence and claimed the treatment was not done properly. In a desperate attempt to bring him back to life, they laid Manish's body on a bench within the hospital campus and began rubbing his entire body with flour, powder, and a rolling pin — a ritual rooted in traditional beliefs. Haryana police arrest teacher for sexually assaulting minor girl in Jind
Jind: In a shocking incident, a science teacher at a reputed private school, which is owned by a prominent political leader of the state, has been arrested for allegedly abducting and raping a 17-year-old girl in Jind district. The accused was arrested by the city police 12 days after the incident. Reportedly, the incident took place on July 10, coinciding with Guru Purnima, when the 17-year-old Class 12 student was allegedly lured away from near her home. Her mother later filed a police complaint, following which the city police registered a kidnapping case and started a probe. Later, the girl was safely recovered, and in her statement before a magistrate, she accused the teacher of rape and unlawful confinement. Based on her statement, police registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Talking to TOI, city police station in-charge Manish Kumar said the accused, who was arrested by the police, was produced in court, which sent him into two days of police custody.
