On Friday, Aug. 1, reports circulated that The Holiday, which starred Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black, is being revisited, this time as a limited series. Per Deadline, Apple TV+ will adapt the film's same concept — an ambitious American woman (Diaz) house swaps with a heartbroken British woman (Winslet) and both of them fall in love in the most unexpected way — with new characters and stars. Rob Delaney is on board the project as writer, and Sweetpea's Krissie Ducker will executive produce, the outlet reported. Apple TV+ did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment about the report. The news came as a shock to Meyers, who spoke out about the report in a post on her Instagram Stories. "News to me," Meyers wrote over a screenshot of a Hollywood Reporter article about the limited series adaptation. "Imagine my surprise when I opened Instagram and this was the first post I saw." This is not the first time that Meyers has weighed in on reports of the beloved 2006 film being revisited. In 2022, the director shut down sequel rumors swiftly on Instagram, as she wrote in a comment on a post reporting that a sequel was getting made with the original main cast all returning: "So many DM's about this — sorry but it's not true. ❤️." Shortly afterwards, Winslet herself weighed in on the speculation. "I read something about that, but it's the first I've heard of it," she told PEOPLE. "I promise you, not an agent or a representative or anyone from the first one around has had any conversation with me about that. Hand on heart, that's never come up." The original cast will not reprise their roles in the limited series, per the report, despite several stars having expressed interest in returning to the world. Law, who played the brother of Winslet's Iris and love interest of Diaz's Amanda, has been particularly vocal about his desire to revisit the magic of The Holiday. Last year, Law, 52, said, "Why not?" when asked about the possibility of a sequel. "I love the idea," he told E! News. He even offered up some ideas on where he thinks his character would be today. "I think Graham still has cardigans and glasses, and reads," he said. "He's probably worried sick about the girls, right? [His] daughters will be 28, 29." Law admitted, though, that he'd "have to ask" Meyers to get the real answer on a sequel. Despite not having any plans to revisit the world, Meyers has been known to tease fans of the movie. She and Law reunited for lunch in December, and she posted a video on Instagram from the reunion."Look who I'm having lunch with today. Jude Law! Congratulations on your so well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. That's amazing," she told the actor in the video. "I don't think I've seen you since we wrapped The Holiday," Meyers admitted, before she brought up the sequel rumors. "Speaking of which, I've seen you interviewed a lot, and they keep asking you if there's going to be a sequel. What do you think?" In response, Law made a hilariously adorable reference to his Mr. Napkin Head character from the film. It was obvious that his bit delighted Meyers, but it didn't offer fans any real answer to the question of a sequel. 'And Just Like That ...' to end after third season
And just like that, a universe of fun, friendship and fashion is coming to an end. Michael Patrick King, showrunner of the 'Sex and the City' sequel 'And Just Like That ...,' announced on Instagram that the series will end after the third season concludes. Fans have a two-part finale to savor later this month. 'It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years,' he wrote. King said he decided to wrap things up while writing the season's final episode. He then split the finale into two episodes. The last episode will drop Aug. 14. In a long, heartfelt Instagram post of her own, Sarah Jessica Parker, who played the iconic Carrie Bradshaw character in both series, called the sequel 'all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent.' She included a montage of Carrie's fashion and moments. Parker added: 'I am better for every single day I spent with you. It will be forever before I forget. The whole thing. Thank you all. I love you so.' Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon returned for the sequel. Largely absent was Kim Cattrall and her Samantha Jones, though Cattrall did make a brief, uncredited cameo in the Season 2 finale. Samantha's absence was explained as a move to London. They dated, leaning on each other as Parker's Carrie, a writer, chronicled it all. The sequel picks up their lives in their mid-50s, to mixed reviews. Carrie became a widow. Nixon's Miranda Hobbes came out as queer. Davis' Charlotte York Goldenblatt copes with husband Harry's prostate cancer diagnosis. Fashion remains ever-present, including all those iconic heels still clacking through New York's brownstone-lined streets. In her farewell post, Parker wrote of her stylish Carrie that she, 'Changed homes, time zones, boyfriends, her mind, her shoes, her hair, but never her love and devotion to New York City.' She called Carrie 'my professional heartbeat for 27 years.'

Royal Porthcawl member Darcey Harry shines with a man who led the British Open on her bag
Welsh player Darcey Harry isn't just the home favorite at the AIG Women's British Open. She's a member at Royal Porthcawl, though she's never seen the venerable club quite like this. "It doesn't really feel like it's at home because there's so many people here and usually Porthcawl is very quiet," said Harrry. And that comment to the press came before Harry teed it up in competition. The 22-year-old LET rookie stormed to victory at the Hulencourt Women's Open in Belgium last month to play her way into what's being billed as the largest women's sporting event ever held in Wales. "I was really nervous. I'm not too sure really how I coped with it," said Harry, who opened with a 2-under 70 to trail by three. "I just tried not to look elsewhere and just keep concentrated on the golf ball and my caddie." Harry's caddie is her boyfriend, Jacob Skov Olesen, a DP World Tour rookie who co-led the men's British Open earlier this month at Royal Portrush. The Dane was also on the bag for her win in Belgium. "I need someone on the bag that's going to make me laugh and take my mind off more of the distractions," said Harry, who became a member at Porthcawl six years ago. This is the first competition she's ever played at the historic club. "I don't think I've ever had a card in hand playing here," she said ahead of the championship. "Usually when I come out, I just play nine holes. I never really come out and play 18. If I do, it's probably with my dad, just walking around, having a bit of a piss about." Olesen said he met Harry for the time around five months ago, and it remains the only round of golf they've played together. They've been dating now for two months and mainly see each other at events. Harry, for example, was in Northern Ireland for Olesen's hot start. Olesen noted that Harry's iron play is typically her strength, though right now everything about her game feels quite rounded. As for friendly competitions between the two, Olesen said, "We tied the only match we played, so no one has the upper hand. I guess she does, a little bit, having a win." Harry made her major championship debut earlier this month at the Amundi Evian and was excited for the opportunity to play alongside 2018 British Open winner Georgia Hall in the first two rounds in Wales. "I was only a junior at the time when Georgia won a few years ago," said Harry. "It was so inspirational seeing her do it. The whole country was so excited when a British player won."
