Orlando Pirates get slapped with R15 million asking price!

Orlando Pirates are heavily linked with Zimbabwean teenager Prince Ndlovu and have been informed by Highlanders FC that they will need to cough up R15 million to acquire his services.
'Highlanders FC value Prince (Ndlovu) and that's why they are pricing him at around R15million,' a source revealed.
'For now this price is believed to be directed at South African team Orlando Pirates because apparently they are the ones who have enquired about his services. Highlanders believe it's a fair price looking at his talent, quality and future ahead of him.'
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates target Rowan Human has rejected AmaZulu's contract extension, making him a free agent from July 1.
'AmaZulu FC midfielder Rowan Human has been offered to Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs by his representatives as he is set to leave the club on a free transfer. Human will leave Usuthu at the end of June after his contract expires after the 24-year-old failed to reach an agreement with the club on a new contract,' a source revealed.
'Human has been offered to both Soweto giants by his representatives and it could only be a matter of time before he gets snapped up as he will be a free agent and rediscovered his old form.'
Baroka FC's chairman Khurishi Mphahlele has confirmed that defender Tshepho Mashiloane has signed with Orlando Pirates.
'We still got to pay Mashiloane until the end of June, but Orlando Pirates have purchased Mashiloane for the coming season, not this season,' Mphahlele informed iDiski Times .
'But if Pirates want Mashiloane earlier there's no problem we've got an agreement with Pirates. We can always make provision for that, but we are going to pay Mashiloane at the end of June because his contract ends at the end of June and the Pirates contract begins on the first of July.
'From the first of July he is an Orlando Pirates player, until then he's still our player and we pay him.'

Cardoso welcomes MTN8 semi-final war with Pirates despite transfer concerns

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso is expecting a fierce test when his side faces arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals of the MTN8, acknowledging the magnitude of the tie while managing a squad currently stretched by absences. The highly anticipated draw, confirmed after this past weekend's quarter-finals, pits the defending Betway Premiership champions against the reigning MTN8 holders in a two-legged blockbuster. Pirates booked their place with a win over Polokwane City in front of a packed Orlando Stadium on Saturday, while Sundowns crushed Richards Bay at Lucas Moripe Stadium a day later. Cardoso, now in his second season at Chloorkop, believes the tie will be decided not by pedigree, but by form and fitness on the day. 'There's still a lot of work to do. The moments of the team are still going to develop throughout the season,' Cardoso said, after the draw. 'Obviously, there's always an energy outcome from the dispute — especially considering that it will be two matches. The strongest in that moment usually wins over two matches. Let's see how it will be.'

'People are writing a lot of nonsense that I'm negotiating with Kaizer Chiefs'

Former TS Galaxy striker Dzenan Zajmovic has set the record straight that he never spoke to Kaizer Chiefs. The experienced forward is a free agent since leaving the Rockets last season. He was linked to Amakhosi in recent weeks, but he has since made it clear that the Soweto giants never approached him. He did reveal that two clubs made contact with him but none of those clubs is Kaizer Chiefs. 'Two clubs made contact, but I was not happy with the proposals about a month ago,' Zajmovic told 'It was not even one of the big three clubs in South Africa. Okay with regards to Kaizer Chiefs, they never contacted me. I have seen people writing a lot of nonsense that I'm negotiating with them but nothing like that has happened. 'All the things on the internet about me and Chiefs are not true because they have never contacted me. What I know is that I have shown myself in a good way but maybe it is not good enough for some clubs,' he continued. 'You never know who decides in the clubs and they go for what they like. With regards to where I would go next, I prefer respect and being valued. Maybe I will go to Asia. I'm fit. 'In South Africa, I would have liked to go to one of the Big Three because I have already adapted. If it is another club outside the big three and they show that they really want and value me then I will take that offer,' Zajmovic added. 'It is strange that the top three clubs didn't contact me despite the numbers that I had in South Africa because I feel I did well.' Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Farouk Khan said on Soccer beat that Zajmovic was more suited for Amakhosi. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Orlando Pirates have been extremely busy this transfer window. Orlando Pirates have been the busiest side in the PSL transfer window. Hands down. So, they have now completed 23 transfer deals. Let's take a look at all confirmed new Pirates players as well as all the Bucs players who have left Mayfair. Sipho Mbule (Mamelodi Sundowns) Yanela Mbuthuma (from Richards Bay) Masindi Nemtajela (Marumo Gallants) Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu) Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay) Abdoulaye S Mariko (Djoliba AC) Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United) Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka) Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch) Oswin Appollis (Polokwane City) Kamogelo Sebelebele (TS Galaxy) Lebone Seema (TS Galaxy). New head coach, Abdeslam Ouaddou signed Mariko from Malian side, Djoliba AC. Meanwhile, Pirates have made some massive scoops from the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns (Mbule), Polokwane City (Appollis), AmaZulu (Moremi) and Stellenbosch SC (Nduli). He has been joined by TWO more Pirates players. Nkota's big-money move to Saudi Arabia was the other big move out of Mayfair.
