Tom Walker: ‘Miracle' I made it through my Trnsmt set
Mr Walker, who was born in Kilsyth, rose to prominence in 2018 with the hit single 'Leave a Light On' and is also known for his song Just You and I.
He played the mainstage of Trnsmt on Sunday afternoon for the first time in his career.
He said it was 'really good' but admitted he had a 'crazy time getting here'.
He told the PA news agency: 'We played in Buncrana last night. The set was at 10.30 at night, we finished at 12, got on a bus – not a tour bus, a wee mini-bus – drove five hours to Dublin airport from Belfast, got on the 6am flight and came straight here.
'I've not been to bed so I'm feeling the burn right now if I'm honest.
'I'm tired. My voice just about made it through that set which is a miracle.'
He applauded his 'packed' Glasgow audience as 'amazing', especially given the 26C weather.
The Scot said it was his best time at Trnsmt yet and his first on the main stage.
Reflecting eight years on from his breakthrough hit, Mr Walker said: 'To be honest, I never ever thought I'd be able to pay my rent with music.
'Me and my partner bought a house four years ago together and I'm just so grateful.
'I never ever in my life thought I'd be able to sustain a living from music and I've gone far beyond anything I thought was possible.
'I'm just so grateful to everybody who's listened to my music, who has supported me, come to my gigs and bought my albums – thank you very much.'

Kneecap to play Glasgow's OVO Hydro this November
The high-energy group will take to the stage at one of Scotland's most iconic venues later this year, marking their biggest Glasgow show to date. Presale tickets go live tomorrow, Tuesday, July 16, at 10am, via the OVO Live presale, with general sale following on Thursday, July 18, at 10am. Ticket prices are expected to range from £53.60 to £64.95. A spokesperson for Police Scotland said at the time: "Any decision on the line-up at TRNSMT is for the organisers, and there was no prior consultation with Police Scotland before acts were booked. "Officers have highlighted that the potential reaction of such a large audience to this band would require a significant policing operation in order to support the delivery of a safe event. "We have also passed on information from the public around safety concerns to allow organisers to make an informed decision on the running of the festival." The event was attended by supporters, including members of the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign, who gathered outside the venue waving flags. Now, Kneecap are upping the capacity, taking their performance to the 14,000-capacity OVO Hydro. The group shared their announcement on their Instagram, with the caption: "Here we go. "We're back in November across Scotland, England and Wales to play our biggest run of shows ever. "Artist pre-sale tomorrow 10am, general sale Friday 10am. "All of ye can get a pre-sale link for tomorrow at 10am ahead of the masses by signing up to our mailer or WhatsApp channel (links in bio)." The comments were quickly flooded with eager fans, Glasgow rapper Big Bemz was seen commenting: "Hydro? Yeah we will be there!" First look at young Scot as Harry Potter in new TV series
As reported by The Glasgow Times in May that Dominic McLaughlin was selected to play the iconic role of the boy wizard in the upcoming HBO series. In newly released images, Dominic is seen dressed in Harry's classic Hogwarts uniform, complete with robe and a Gryffindor knitted jumper. The schoolboy also sports Harry's signature round glasses and the famous lightning bolt scar on his forehead, while holding a clapperboard on set. Studios Leavesden, in Watford, Hertfordshire. The series, based on J.K. Rowling's beloved children's books, is planned to span approximately ten years, with the first season expected to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2027. Over 32,000 children auditioned for the lead roles in what is being described as a "faithful adaptation" of the novels, with Rowling serving as an executive producer. Dominic is no stranger to the spotlight. He trained at Performance Academy Scotland in Cambuslang and recently finished filming Grow, a Sky Comedy project starring Nick Frost, set to air later this year. He has also appeared in the BBC's upcoming adaptation of Gifted by Marilyn Kaye and took to the stage in Macbeth at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, where he performed alongside acting legends Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma. Fiennes famously portrayed Lord Voldemort in the original film series. Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout will portray Harry's close friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, respectively. Johnny Flynn will take on the role of the villainous Lucius Malfoy, succeeding Jason Isaacs, who portrayed the character in the original film series.
