Subway strike to hit Sting's Glasgow Summer Sessions show
Glasgow Subway made an announcement indicating that services will be disrupted on June 25, the day Sting is set to perform at the Glasgow Summer Sessions in Bellahouston Park.
They assured commuters that services will resume as normal on June 26.

Glasgow Subway wrote on social media: "Due to industrial action, Subway customers are advised to make alternative travel arrangements on Wednesday, June 25 2025.
"Full services will resume on Thursday, June 2,6 from 6.30am.
"Apologies for any inconvenience.
"Visit the link in bio for more information."
Sting, known for hits such as Every Breath You Take and Roxanne, is set to take the stage on the day of the planned action.
He was the first act announced for Glasgow's Summer Sessions lineup.

Pizza Express Hawaiian Hot Dough Balls £7.95 THIS take on a Pizza Express classic reignites the perennial debate about pineapples on pizza. The dough balls are served with crispy pancetta and pieces of the fruit, with a 'fiery' pineapple-and- Habanero sauce. If you like your Italian feast a bit sweet, this could well be just the thing for you. If you're on the other side of the debate, the bizarre flavour combination won't do anything to change your mind. The supposedly fiery sauce you get is not even hot enough to bring a kick to this unusual dish. 7 THE makers of the treat we all know and love have taken the biscuit and added a bit of spice. While orange and chocolate are already a great combination, the addition of hot honey is sure to delight those with an even sweeter tooth. These could easily become a regular buy on supermarket shopping trips.

Fans were all smiles as they looked forward to watching the Glasgow band take to the stage last night. Glasgow Times photographer Gordon Terris captured shots of gig-goers ahead of the show as part of the Summer Sessions series of concerts. Simple Minds said this was their 'biggest' headline gig in 34 years, since their Real Life tour in 1991. Revellers didn't let the rain dampen their spirits and showed they were definitely Alive And Kicking as they queued up to see the Don't You Forget About Me rockers. First Bus adds extra services for Bellahouston gig-goers
These extra buses will run today and tomorrow as thousands are set to watch Simple Minds and Stereophonics at the Southside park. This comes as the Subway will be shut due to strikes. 9 and 9A leaving from outside O'Neill's on Union Street in the city centre, dropping off at Edmiston Drive within a short walking distance of Bellahouston Park. After the event, additional services 9 and 9A will take concertgoers from Paisley Road West (after Edmiston Drive) to Oswald Street in the city centre. Graeme Macfarlan, commercial director for First Bus Scotland, said: 'We love seeing so many people attending this year's Summer Sessions in Glasgow and it's important they can travel safely and affordably to and from the event. 'That's exactly why we've worked hard to put on extra buses on Services 9 and 9A across Friday and Saturday this week to ensure people can enjoy their evening safe in the knowledge they won't have to worry about their travel arrangements. 'We are looking forward to welcoming gig-goers onto our services across the next couple of days.'
