The footage shows the bus split in two in the wake of the fall. This is not the first major fatal bus crash in Peru this year. A bus crashed into a river in January, killing six people and injuring 32 others. A previous bus accident in April 2024 resulted in the death of 24 people, making it the deadliest crash in the country in several years. A report from the country's Attorney General's office stated that recklessness and excessive speed are the leading causes of vehicular accidents in Peru, per the AP. At least three people have died after a train derailed in southern Germany, police have said. A spokesperson for the Federal Police Inspectorate in Stuttgart told Sky News earlier that the incident took place near the town of Riedlingen. Two train carriages came off the rails between the town and Munderkingen at around 6.10pm local time on Sunday, with around 100 people aboard. Photos from the scene showed parts of the train on its side as rescuers climbed atop the carriages. It was not immediately clear how many people had been injured. Passengers have since been evacuated from the train. Federal and local police said the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
