Taylor Swift fans speculate collaboration on Sabrina Carpenter's new album "Man's Best Friend"

Express Tribune12-06-2025

Sabrina Carpenter's upcoming album, Man's Best Friend, set for release on August 29, 2025, has sparked speculation about a potential collaboration with Taylor Swift. The excitement stems from two key clues that have fans buzzing.
On the same day Carpenter announced her album, Taylor Swift's official store updated its design, now featuring a font strikingly similar to the one Carpenter has been using since the release of her first single, Manchild, on June 5, 2025.

Moreover, in the ad for her Summer Collection 2025, Swift used a snippet from her song "August" in the background which fans interpret as a reference to the month Carpenter's new album comes out.

Another clue comes from the emails both artists sent to their fans. Carpenter's email announcing Man's Best Friend contained coffee ring stains, much like the email Swift sent when announcing her decision to buy back the masters of her early albums.

Additionally, Carpenter's email also included randomly capitalised letters that also hint towards a collaboration with Swift.
While the similarities have fans convinced, there's no official confirmation of a collaboration. However, Swifties remain hopeful that Man's Best Friend could feature a surprise appearance from Swift.
As the album's release date nears, fans will continue to watch for any further hints, but for now, the speculation continues to build excitement around the project.

Matty Healy takes subtle dig at ex Taylor Swift in Glastonbury set with "poet" remark

Matty Healy sparked speculation during his Glastonbury 2025 performance after calling himself 'a poet,' with fans linking the remark to his former relationship with Taylor Swift. Healy, frontman of The 1975, made the comment during his headline set, where he said, 'I'm probably the best songwriter of my generation,' followed by, 'The best, what do we say — a poet.' The term 'poet' has led to renewed discussion about Swift's 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, which many listeners believe contains songs inspired by her brief relationship with Healy in 2023. Tracks such as 'Down Bad,' 'I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can),' and the title song have been widely interpreted as referencing their time together. Healy's use of the word during a high-profile set has not gone unnoticed by Swift's fans. Social media users speculated that the remark was a subtle reference or even a direct response to his appearance in Swift's songwriting narrative. One comment read, 'Why is he trying to get clout from TTPD?' while another added, 'He'll always be known as Taylor Swift's ex.' Healy has not confirmed whether the comment was intended as a reference. In the past, he has responded to questions about Swift's lyrics and their brief romance but has mostly avoided engaging directly with fan speculation. Since their relationship, both artists have moved on. Healy became engaged to model Gabbriette Bechtel in 2024, while Swift is currently in a public relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce.

Sabrina Carpenter offers God-approved alternate album cover

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter, 26, has addressed widespread criticism of her upcoming album Man's Best Friend by unveiling a new, more modest album cover. The announcement came June 25, 2025, following intense backlash against the original art. The initial cover showed Carpenter on her knees with a man tugging her hair, an image that sparked controversy for its perceived misogynistic symbolism. In response, Carpenter quietly released a black-and-white alternate cover showing her elegantly holding a man's arm while dressed in a glamorous gown. She humorously noted this version was 'approved by God' and made it available through signed vinyl and cassette editions. The decision drew praise from female music icon Carly Simon, who defended Carpenter's artistic choices. Simon compared the original cover to her own provocative 1975 album and said it 'seems tame' in context of music history. Despite the alternate edition quickly selling out, both versions will remain available, Carpenter's move seen as a savvy blend of creative expression with audience sensitivity. Her lead single 'Manchild' has already topped charts in multiple countries, and the full album is set for release on August 29, 2025.

Taylor Swift upstages Kane Brown at Kelce's show and he's loving it

Kane Brown had a light-hearted response after Taylor Swift unexpectedly appeared during his performance at Travis Kelce's Tight Ends & Friends concert in Nashville Tuesday night. The country star posted a photo with Swift and Kelce on Instagram with the caption, 'When you think you're the special guest BUT you're not.' Fans flooded the comments, calling the unexpected collaboration 'iconic' and 'legendary.' One user gushed, 'We love you Kane! Thanks for letting our girl sing.' The Tuesday night event, held at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, was part of Kelce's Tight End University program. The evening featured performances by Sophia Scott, Graham Barham, Chase Rice, Jordan Davis, Luke Combs and of course, Brown. But the real surprise came at the end of his set, when he teased the crowd with news of a 'really, really special guest.' That's when Swift casually walked onstage. Cheering erupted as she grabbed the mic and playfully asked, 'Theoretically, how loud can we get?' While the duo didn't debut a new song, the moment marked another show of Swift's ever-growing connection to the NFL world and her willingness to support Kelce's projects. The pop superstar recently made headlines for regaining control over her original masters and is currently enjoying a break from her Eras Tour before heading back to Europe in July. Whether planned or spontaneous, the moment highlighted music, sports, and celebrity culture in a way only Swift and Kelce could deliver with Brown handling the whole thing with humour and charm.
