More than 56,000 Ford trucks recalled over seatbelt issue

More than 56,000 Ford vehicles are being recalled due to an issue involving seatbelts, federal safety regulators reported this week.
In a Wednesday, July 30, letter to the Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that the vehicle's audible warning chime may not activate when a driver or passenger's seat belt is unbuckled and the vehicle is started.
The vehicle's failure to ping passengers when their seatbelt is not fastened can increase a person's risk of injury or death if a crash takes place, according to the NHTSA.
Ford reported it is not aware of any accidents or injuries connected to the faulty seat belt systems.
Here's what you need to know about the vehicle recall published by the NHTSA:

Ford to recall over 312,000 vehicles over loss of power brake assist, NHTSA says

Ford is recalling 312,120 vehicles in the U.S. as loss of power brake assist while driving can extend stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday. The recall affects certain 2025 Lincoln Navigator, F-150, Expedition, Bronco, and Ranger vehicles. The agency flagged that the Electronic Brake Booster (EBB) module might fail while driving or using the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) feature, causing a loss of power brake assist. As a remedy, the EBB module software will be updated over-the-air (OTA) or by a dealer, free of charge, NHTSA said.

Restoration Guy Buys 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, Finds Ultra-Rare Survivor

⚡️ Read the full article on Motorious The 1967 Plymouth Barracuda might not command the same headlines as its pony car rival, the Ford Mustang, but when a well-preserved convertible turns up with some ultra-rare factory options, Mopar fans take notice. YouTuber Dale from 'Old Skool Rides' recently dragged home a second-generation Barracuda ragtop, and while it may not look like much at first glance, this project car hides a few surprises. For starters, it's one of just 4,228 convertibles built in 1967, making it a relatively rare sight on its own. But more impressive is the factory option list: a high-performance 273 cubic-inch 'Commando' V8, floor-mounted automatic shifter with console, bucket seats, tachometer, and a 150-mph speedometer. Though not a Formula S by badge, it's loaded like one. The real shocker? The car still has its original 'recall' wood-rimmed steering wheel—infamous for trapping fingers in its three double-spoke design—and it's in remarkably good condition. Most of these were pulled from circulation decades ago, making survivors like this virtually extinct. The Barracuda isn't running just yet, but the body is solid and mostly complete, and the interior is restorable. While a full restoration may not be financially practical given current values, Dale plans to get it back on the road soon, and it's safe to say this rare drop-top won't be left to rot.

JPMorgan up Image by Marcin Machalski from Pixabay graded Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) to 'Overweight' ahead of its Q2 earnings release on July 30, raising its price target to $13 from $12 on July 21, citing 'stronger-than-expected' output as purchasers hurried to purchase vehicles ahead of tariff-driven price hikes. Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F), which is up 9.90% year to date, has benefited from robust hybrid sales, rising margins, and continuous profit growth. Nevertheless, Wall Street anticipates Q2 earnings per share to decrease 30% year on year to $0.33, with revenue down 4% to $45.79 billion due to greater incentives, EV sector losses, and lower vehicle pricing. Nonetheless, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F)'s earnings history is encouraging: it has above EPS projections in seven of the previous nine quarters. While JPMorgan continues to favor car suppliers over manufacturers, its upbeat outlook suggests Ford may be better positioned than many believe in managing a changing automotive industry.
