Man dead after truck hits motorcycle in Etobicoke, police say

A man in his 50s has died after a pickup truck hit a motorcycle in Etobicoke on Thursday, Toronto police say.
The collision happened on N. Queen Street near Atomic Avenue, which is near The East Mall. Police were called to the scene at about 3:15 p.m.
Police said the motorcyclist was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene.
N. Queen Street is closed between The East Mall and Shorncliffe Road as officers investigate. Motorists are told to expect delays in the area.

Police say they responded to reports of two children entering the Wabigoon River in the city of Dryden shortly after 4 p.m. They say neither child resurfaced and both were located and recovered from the water by emergency crews. Ontario Provincial Police say the two youths were transported to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The victims' identities have not been released.
