Fresh from his Europa League triumph with Spurs, the midfielder reaffirmed his deep connection to his roots and pledged to bring electricity to the isolated island community.
He said, when he visited Fayako, a small island located around 100 miles from Senegal's capital Dakar: 'The process is already underway with regards to electricity.
"I hope that soon, Fayako will shine as brightly as its people do. I love this village, and I'm proud of its people.'
In addition to helping with electricity, Sarr also donated educational materials such as a laptop, printer and solar-powered panels to a local school.
He also supplied construction materials for the expansion of the village's health centre.
Sarr is following in the footsteps of his idol, former Liverpool star Sadio Mane, who donated £500,000 towards building a hospital in his hometown of Bambali.
The entire community of Fayako, including local leaders, gathered to show their gratitude for the Spurs star they proudly call a son of the village.
Tottenham hit gold when they signed then 18-year-old Sarr from Metz in 2021.

They then showed incredible foresight by leaving him at the French club for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season to continue his development.
The Senegal star joined Spurs a year later and made his Premier League debut in a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on January 1st 2023.
Since then, he has played 81 league games for the Lilywhites and helped the North London club win the Europa League final against Manchester United last season.
Sarr will be back at Hotspur Way for pre-season under new manager Thomas Frank, who replaced Ange Postecoglou this summer.

Thomas Frank will field TWO separate Tottenham teams in tomorrow's pre-season friendlies against Wycombe and Luton
Thomas Frank will split his Tottenham squad down the middle for preseason friendly games against Luton and Wycombe to ensure all his players can step up their preparations. Spurs will take on Wycombe at the training ground at 11am on Saturday and Luton at Kenilworth Road, kicking off at 3pm. At Reading, in the first preseason game of Frank's tenure, the new boss gave 22 players 45 minutes each but now has others back and in the fold who were not available last weekend. Mathys Tel, Wilson Odobert and Archie Gray reported back later than others after taking part in the U21 Euros and new signing Kota Takai from Kawasaki Frontale in Japan had only just received a work permit enabling him to train with the team. Richarlison missed the game at Reading as he worked on his fitness but with those back and young players around the fringes, Frank has decided to send a first team to both fixtures. Tottenham's preseason continues with a high-profile tour of Asia, where they will face Arsenal in Hong Kong on July 31. After facing their north London rivals, Frank's side will travel to Seoul to take on Newcastle, before returning to Europe for a clash against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. Following the Asian leg of their tour, Spurs are up against Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup final on August 13, which will be held in Udine, Italy. The Europa League champions then return to London to finalise preparations ahead of the new Premier League season; Tottenham begin their campaign on August 16 at home to Burnley. With just under a month to go, Frank is keen to ensure every member of his squad hits the ground running.

Former Man Utd star in talks to sign for Wrexham, agent confirms
Wrexham are in talks to sign a Premier League icon just a month after he left Manchester United, the player's agent has confirmed. The Welsh club have enjoyed incredible success on-and-off the pitch since being taken over by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney in 2021. Three consecutive promotions have seen them rise from National League to the Championship, while the documentary series Welcome to Wrexham has given them worldwide fame and attention. They are now preparing for their first season back in England's second-tier and many believe it is a question of not if, but when they will be promoted to the Premier League. As a result they have been linked with a number of former top-flight players who are now free agents, like Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your team in the link so we can send you football news tailored to you. And it has now been revealed that they have made an approach to sign ex-United and Tottenham star Christian Eriksen, according to the midfielder's representative Martin Schoots. 'Wrexham are really upgrading everything both on and off the field, and it is a hugely impressive project, as you can see from the presence of people like [CEO] Michael Williamson there,' Schoots told the Daily Mail. 'But Christian still wants to play in a first-tier competition and he absolutely wants to stay in Western Europe. There are some contacts going on but it has to suit both sides.' Eriksen joined Spurs from Ajax in 2013 and established himself as one of the most talented midfielders of his generation, recording 68 goals and 88 assists in 305 games for the club. The Dane then moved to Inter Milan where he won Serie A, before shockingly suffering a cardiac arrest and collapsing on the pitch at Euro 2020. Clubs: Tottenham, Brentford, Manchester United Appearances: 310 Goals: 55 Assists: 81 Trophies: FA Cup (2023/24), League Cup (2022/23) Remarkably, he made his return to football less than a year later with Brentford before moving to Old Trafford where he won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup under Erik ten Hag. The 33-year-old confirmed in May that he would be leaving the Red Devils upon the expiry of his contract, scoring a penalty in his final match, and is now on the hunt for a new club. While Eriksen has already ruled out a return to his native Denmark, he has been approached by clubs in Saudi Arabia, the USA, Turkey, Brazil, as well as Wrexham. While past his prime, Eriksen still has plenty of quality and experience to offer a new club and it would be a major coup for a second-tier side like Wrexham to sign him. More Trending But former Red Dragons striker Matt Jansen admits he doesn't think the Dane will be interested in a move to north Wales. Asked which free agents he would like to see at Wrexham, Jansen told Live Casinos: 'Well Jamie Vardy is one. To help him out, maybe Callum Wilson if you can keep him fit. Or Danny Ings. 'So they're the type of players that would enhance their chances, but they're an aging squad and then in a year or two you've got to do exactly the same thing, haven't you? 'So there are a few agents that I certainly think would improve Wrexham. Then you also have Christian Eriksen, but I don't think he'd be tempted.' For more stories like this, check our sport page.
