The 381 MW project, involving 127 of Suzlon's S144 turbines, will be spread across Maharashtra (180 MW), Madhya Pradesh (180 MW), and Tamil Nadu (21 MW), a company statement said.
"India's energy transition landscape is at a pivotal juncture, where the pursuit of reliable, round-the-clock renewable power (FDRE) is taking center stage. This project marks that critical shift," Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said.

The project is a part of
SJVN
's FDRE bid in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, while the Tamil Nadu portion will serve Commercial & Industrial (C&I) power consumers, a company statement said.
"This partnership with Suzlon marks a significant step in our vision to deliver even more ambitious and complex multi-technology renewable energy solutions for our customers across India.
"It sets the foundation for delivering our portfolio of 5 GW, from our strategically sited and uniquely co-located hybrid projects with Interconnection certainty of 2027 and 2028," said Sajay KV, CEO, Zelestra India.
Zelestra is a vertically integrated company specializing in the development, commercialization, construction and operation of large-scale renewable energy projects. It has a portfolio of approximately 29 GW of carbon-free projects in 13 countries.

Traffic Chaos at Cotton Market Sq To Persist For At Least Four Months
1 2 Nagpur: Commuters passing through the busy Cotton Market Square will have to endure traffic snarls for at least four to five months more, as two major infrastructure projects continue to disrupt the area. For the last three months, the area has been witnessing traffic snarls because of the simultaneous infrastructure projects, leaving commuters frustrated. The Railways shut down the crucial underpass that connects Sitabuldi to Cotton Market for the extension of the fifth and sixth railway lines since the end of April. Simultaneously, MahaMetro barricaded large portions of the main square and installed temporary pillars as part of its ongoing Skywalk construction. These simultaneous projects have created a major bottleneck, forcing motorists to take long detours and worsening congestion in the area. With the underpass closed, motorists traveling from Gandhi Sagar towards Sitabuldi currently have to use the other underpass near Anand Talkies. However, at the entrance of this stretch, MahaMetro erected a temporary platform, which is affecting traffic movement. "The underpass at Cotton Market Square is an important link for both sides of the railway line. Since it was closed, the detour route is witnessing heavy traffic jams. Similarly, the square is also in bad condition due to MahaMetro's work, which has reduced the width of the road. The authorities should not have given permission for simultaneous works," said Vishrut Kale, a regular commuter. In charge of the Cotton Market traffic zone, Pramod Pore said that the underpass is likely to remain closed for more than four to five months. "We gave permission to railways for six months. Currently, three months are completed, but the work could take another four to five months as they are laying the fifth and sixth railway lines. Similarly, MahaMetro's work will take at least three to four months to complete," said Pore, adding that they are regularly deploying traffic cops at the spot during peak hours to regulate traffic. This means that the area will continue to witness crippled traffic for at least four to five months. A senior MahaMetro official said that the skywalk work would be completed by the end of October, after which all the temporary structures would be removed. MU plans to implement digital evaluation
Mangaluru: Mangalore University (MU) is considering implementing digital evaluation from the next semester. The recently held syndicate meeting gave a green signal for MU to proceed with the new plan and adopt it if there is adequate space, finance, and manpower available. The four-decade-old university has proposed to procure technology with the help of VTU, Belagavi. The new technology would not only save time but also a substantial amount of money for the cash-strapped university. According to officials, the evaluation cost would decrease by nearly 50%. Providing details, Judith Mendonca, syndicate member of MU, told TOI that currently, the varsity is conducting manual evaluations. The adoption of digital evaluation will reduce the time of evaluation and the number of evaluators. "The technology will save time and money for MU, besides providing results at the earliest. Currently, for each semester examination evaluation, MU spends about Rs 40 lakh, and the cost post-adoption of digital evaluation will be reduced by half. Registrar (evaluation) Devendrappa H said that the syndicate body of the varsity has proposed to go for digital evaluation. However, they would not be able to implement it for UG at the earliest. Therefore, they will start with PG courses. Before this, a delegation of officials will visit various institutions across Karnataka that have adopted digital evaluation. "We will educate ourselves on how it is done and what arrangements need to be made," said Devendrappa. He said that the adoption of digital evaluation needs to be integrated with UUCMS. "The one-time cost for setting up the technology is huge. We are looking at various aspects, including whether MU, which is reeling under a financial crunch, can afford it or would the govt sponsor this.
