Outlander's Sam Heughan finishes London Marathon in aid of cancer charity
Outlander star Sam Heughan has taken to social media to proudly show off his medal after completing the London Marathon this afternoon and raising almost £40,000 for charity. The Scots actor is the founder of My Peak Challenge (MPC), a movement 'dedicated to educating and inspiring its members to live healthier, happier, and more balanced lives while raising funds to change lives'. This year, MPC are raising money for charity Blood Cancer UK with their members, known as Peakers, setting themselves the challenge of running the London Marathon in a bid to raise cash for their 2025 charity partner. Among them was 44-year-old Sam, who successfully completed his sixth marathon in the streets of London today after crossing the 26.2m finish line. Taking to Instagram, the Dumfries born actor wrote: "Incredible day running through the streets of London! THANK YOU for all the support, wow London really shines in the sun! And boy did the sun shine…. "Special shout out to our @mypeakchallenge Cheer Zone, the huge Peaker online support, Hugo and Lisa and the whole @bloodcancer_uk team for cheering and welcoming us at the finish line with snacks, water and smiles. So proud, we have raised almost £40,000 to help fund and raise #bloodcancerawareness. Thank you!" He added: "Oh and got a high from fellow Scot @gordongram on the course too!" The iconic Hell's Kitchen chef, Gordon Ramsay, who has previously ran the marathon himself, was there today supporting his two children, Megan and Jack. He took to Instagram this morning to share a sweet picture of his son and daughter as young kids as he wrote: "Best of luck to Meg, Jack and all the other runners today for the London Marathon!! Big thank you to all the volunteers, we can't wait to support and cheer everyone on - see you there!" Meanwhile, Sam delighted fans with a series of snaps from throughout the big day. Among them were pictures of him beaming beside charity members in Blood Cancer UK t-shirts with his medal round his neck and other selfies of him proudly holding up his award after crossing the finish line. Fans can still donate as Sam has shared his Just Giving page on Instagram with a total of £39,242 being raised so far. The page states: "In honour of 10 years of My Peak Challenge, Sam is running the London Marathon 2025 - and he's dedicating every mile to Blood Cancer UK, our official charity partner for this milestone year. "This run is about more than just crossing a finish line. It's about pushing limits, celebrating resilience, and standing up for those impacted by blood cancer. Every mile Sam runs is a reminder that together we can turn challenges into change. "You can sponsor a mile to fuel Sam's run and help us raise life-changing funds for research, support, and hope. The page continues: "1 in 3 people don't survive their blood cancer and we lose them in the first five years after diagnosis. Too many people are dying from the most complex and aggressive forms of blood cancer - blood cancers that are the hardest to treat. "We believe it's possible to achieve significant shifts in survival, by making sure that all patients have access to the right drug at the right time. "Our focus on the hardest to treat blood cancers will accelerate progress towards our goal of radical improvements in outcomes for these patients and bring forward the day when we beat blood cancer." Don't know how funny that gag is – Sione Tuipulotu laughs off ‘Aussie' dig
Tuipulotu, one of eight players in Andy Farrell's squad who were born, raised and educated in the southern hemisphere, was among those caught in the crosshairs before Saturday's 54-7 rout of Western Force. 'Another Aussie at number 12, Sione Tuipulotu,' was how the Scotland centre was introduced when the team was read out for the Lions' opening match on Australian soil. Mack Hansen, James Lowe and Pierre Schoeman were also referenced by the nation of their birth rather than their adopted country, for whom they have qualified either through residency or family heritage. It continued a theme from the hosts that began when Wallabies head coach Joe Schmidt described Tuipulotu and New Zealand-born Ireland international Bundee Aki as a 'southern-hemisphere centre partnership' in the build-up to the defeat by Argentina in Dublin. Tuipulotu emphasised the words 'good humour' when brushing aside the jibes that he expected on his return Down Under. 'I knew there would be some 'good humour' coming back home to Australia. These are all things we've got to take in our stride,' he said. 'To not announce the elephant in the room, I am from Australia. I was born here. I don't know how funny that gag is to everyone! 'I'm loving my rugby playing for the Lions and I'm really passionate about it. Andy's brought the group together so well.' The victory in Perth exposed several shortcomings such as a high penalty count and creaking set-piece, but there was also much to admire in the attacking exuberance that produced eight classy tries. Tougher tests than the Force await on tour but combined with the evidence gathered from the Aviva Stadium eight days earlier, Farrell's Lions are clearly keen to keep the ball alive – and on this occasion the passes stuck. Finn Russell was at the heart of onslaught in his first outing of the tour and the Scot's instinctive play drew approval from Farrell, who declared: 'He's ready to go. And that's good.' Well done, dad 👍🫶#Lions2025 — British & Irish Lions (@lionsofficial) June 28, 2025 Tuipulotu, who expects to be firing by the Test series as he continues his comeback from a significant ankle injury, said: 'We're taking ideas from all the nations. 'Obviously, the coaching style is very Ireland dominant and there are a lot of ideas that we're getting from the Irish coaches, but then those ideas are being sprinkled on. 'When Finn comes in, he plays his style. He plays to the structure of the team, but he's a very instinctive player and he wants to play what's directly in front of his face. 'There's a mixture there and that's what's going to make it hard to defend for opposition teams. 'Finn's a world-class number 10 and he's been here, been there, done that. He's come off a really good season after winning the Premiership with Bath and I thought him and Tomos Williams controlled the game really well. 'We're still growing, there's a lot of growth left in us but the identity at least, you could see how we try to play the game out there.'

Inside newly-single Sophie Radford's ‘feral' Saturday night out – from her sexy outfit to downing shots & signing boobs
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHE bemoaned her "full on" mummy lifestyle just months before she appeared to confirm she's split from her husband. And now Sophie Radford - the eldest daughter of parents-of-22 Sue and Noel Radford - is reportedly single again, she seems to be making up for lost time on the partying front. Sophie dressed to impress for the evening out, and showed off her gym-honed figure in a mesh see-through crop top and leather trousers, which she teamed with some tie up heels. The 31-year-old looked like she was enjoying herself as she posed for snaps with her mate Cerys, who wrote "let's get feral" over the top of a picture of herself and Sophie. The alcohol then started flowing, with Sophie posting a video of a tray full of shots. She also turned "shot girl" as she carried a tray of drinks back to her table, shimmying in delight as she did so. The drinking continued as Sophie and Cerys downed their shots, before the former got up close and personal with one of her mates. In a video of her friend sporting some writing on her decolletage, Sophie added: "Had a fan ask for a picture so Georgia made me sign her t**s!" The evening out concluded with a "pit stop" at McDonald's on the way home, with Sophie treating herself to a large fries and a double cheeseburger. The wild festivities came after Sophie broke down in tears as she admitted she was struggling during an episode of the family's reality show 22 Kids & Counting last August. During the run-up to her 30th birthday, she reflected on how her life had changed since becoming a mother. Sophie Radford puts split behind her on day out with Millie, but it comes to a shocking end amid Liverpool parade panic "Usually people in their twenties are out partying, but my twenties were very different, I had three kids, all within a year between them," she said. "It's hard going, it's definitely hard going. It's the same routine every day, it's so full on, all the time." The mum also acknowledged that her relationship with husband Joe Broadley had suffered since having children. "With me and Joe, we used to go out to cinemas, out for meals, go out shopping, do all sorts of things and it all stopped," she added. "Because I've seen my mum and dad so happy, I do feel like I should be like that as well. However, it's not for everyone. Sophie hinted during a Q&A with fans on Instagram in May that her marriage hadn't worked out. The Radford Family's TV history THE first ever episode of 22 Kids and Counting aired on Channel 5 on 22nd February, 2021. After the first series - which had just four episodes in it - performed well, Channel 5 commissioned a 10-episode second season, which was broadcast in 2022. They went on to commission a third series, which included a Christmas special aired in December 2023. The fourth season began airing in January 2024, but fans were left disappointed when it stopped after six episodes. Sue and Noel reassured viewers that they were just taking a little break, and the next episode will be airing on 21st July. You can catch up on all previous episodes of 22 Kids and Counting on My 5, here. Asked by a curious fan if she was single after being married for almost 10 years, Sophie replied: "YES. That's all that will be said on it." Sophie and Joe married in 2015 and have three children together, Daisy Mae, 12, Ayprill Louise, 10, and Leo, nine. Earlier in the Q&A session, Sophie was asked how she and Joe were. When they asked, "How are you and Joe?", Sophie answered: "How are we... TBC. Privacy". 7 Sophie even turned into a shot girl for the evening out Credit: instagram/sophierose1993 7 Sophie sported some bunny ears during the night out Credit: instagram/sophierose1993
