Lucknow: On the first day of Parliament's monsoon session on Monday, BSP chief Mayawati expressed hope that it would discuss relevant national and international issues. She said, "The 'bahujans' of the country want both the govt and the opposition to rise above party interests and unite on issues arising out of fast-changing political and economic conditions in the world.
"
In her post on X, she said, "It is natural for all countrymen to worry that the much-awaited session of Parliament may turn out to be disappointing like the previous sessions, without proper and appropriate debate on important and urgent issues of national and public interest and without any better outcome, without confrontation between the govt and the opposition, allegations and counter-allegations, uproar and without any hope of proper progress towards some 'good days' for crores of poor and other hard-working bahujans of the country.
"
She said the country is facing public interest problems like massive inflation, poverty and unemployment, women's insecurity and increasing disputes and violent clashes over region and language, along with internal and external or border security.
"On the basis of meaningful debate on these matters, the public considers it necessary to have smooth functioning of the Parliament for formulating future long-term policies and strategies, and implementing them, so that the country develops and people prosper, and in which lies the interest of the entire society and bahujans of the country," she said.

Apart from this, the speed at which the political and economic conditions of the world are changing has also started posing new challenges.
It will be better if the govt is positive on discussing India's 'Operation Sindoor' in the case of the Pahalgam massacre, because the security of the people and borders of the country is ultimately the full responsibility of the govt, for which the opposition should also rise above party interests and cooperate with the govt, she said.

Aari Arjunan on Dr S Ramadoss biopic: This film will not be about glorifying any one group

Aari reveals that the team is currently doing look tests in Mumbai, 'experimenting with makeup and styling to get the best possible outcome'. Aari Arujunan will portray Dr S Ramadoss in an upcoming biopic of the veteran politician, which will be directed by Cheran . Titled Ayya – The Lion Of Tamil Nadu , the film will go on floors this September. Speaking to us about the film, Aari shares, 'Cheran sir was the first person I approached for an opportunity when I started my career, and through him, I got my break in Aadum Koothu (2006). While we were wrapping up our TV series Journey , Cheran sir mentioned that he had a project I'd need to commit to wholeheartedly. He asked me to block eight months for it. Only after all the processes were completed did I come to know that I would be playing the role of Dr Ramadoss in his biopic. The film will portray the journey of Dr Ramadoss ayya . When he launched his party, he worked tirelessly for the upliftment of society. Many significant events followed, but back then, there wasn't enough documentation. As a result, much of that history and the evolution of politics aimed at social welfare is unknown to the public today. This film will bring that untold journey to light.' We can't deny public opinion; everyone is entitled to their view. This film, however, will not be about glorifying any one group — it presents the true events from the life journey of Dr Ramadoss ayya .' Aari reveals that the team is currently doing look tests in Mumbai, 'experimenting with makeup and styling to get the best possible outcome'. 'We're also working on a trial shoot to finetune everything. Cheran sir sees this as one of the most important projects of his career; he's been working on it for nearly four years. One of the biggest challenges for me is that there's no visual reference, in terms of video, of Dr Ramadoss from his younger days, so we have to build everything from scratch with a lot of research and creative effort.
