Patrick Kielty's heartbreaking final post about Cat Deeley as she wipes him from feed
Patrick Kielty 's last gushing post about his wife Cat Deeley was shared in February 2024 when she was announced as the new permanent presenter of This Morning alongside Ben Shepherd.
It would become the very last post shared about his wife before she erased all trace of him on her own Instagram account after the former couple announced their marriage split on Tuesday in a shock statement.
The former couple met while hosting BBC 's Fame Academy together in 2002, but only made their first public appearance as a couple nine years later in 2011. They wed a year later in September 2012 at a ceremony in Rome and have two children together.
They said in a joint statement to the PA news agency: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.
'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.'
Northern Irish presenter Patrick, 54, is the host of RTE talk show The Late Late Show, having taken over from Ryan Tubridy in 2023.
When Cat, 48, was officially announced as the new presenter of This Morning, taking over the reigns from Holly Willoughby, Patrick took to Instagram to celebrate his 'wonderful' wife as he listed all of the great and admirable attributes about Cat.
In the lengthy caption alongside a montage of video clips of Cat at home with their children and messing around, Patrick wrote: "I didn't know what a morning person actually was until I met this woman. She gets up every day with a smile on her face.
"A 5.30am, whistling in the shower, smile on her face. Then downs two coffees, and gives you the look. The 'what the f*€K's wrong with you, let's do this' look.
"It's not a pretend smile. And it's not just some mornings. It's every morning. Which is bloody difficult cos she's married to me. I should also mention she likes a chat. To anyone. About anything. Anywhere.

"If there's anyone in the world made for a show called @thismorning, it's this human. Strap yourself in Ben Shepherd. And welcome to my world. We couldn't be prouder of you Cat, Go get 'em Mama."
Patrick doesn't appear to have shared a post about Cat since, and she was appeared to have wiped all trace of him from her Instagram.
The last time Cat referenced Patrick on her Instagram was in October 2023 with an unusual 90s-themed slideshow of the pair of them. She wrote: "Slightly terrifying but obsessed."
The former married couple were also seemingly living separate lives in the build-up to the surprise announcement. Prior to the announcement the pair had not been pictured together in public in over a year.
The last snap of Patrick and Cat side by side was taken in 2023. They appeared happy in the image as they attended the Ballywalter London premiere at The May Fair Hotel on September 18, 2023.
In March this year, Cat also missed husband Patrick's mum's funeral in Northern Ireland. Heartbreaking pictures showed a grief-stricken Patrick carrying her coffin through the streets.
Hundreds turned out to line the streets as those close to Mary and her family came together for a ceremony at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Dundrum.
At the time, a spokesperson told the Mirror that Cat had remained at home to care for their young sons Milo and James. They said: "Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day."
Cat also failed to send Patrick a public Father's Day message last month. The exes share two kids together, sons Milo, 9, and James, 6.

Gangster: The Story of the Black Widow - inside the life of Britain's most notorious female gangster Linda Calvey
The BBC's hit Gangster podcast series returns on Friday 8 August with the explosive true-crime tale of Linda Calvey - a woman whose name is etched into the darkest corners of the British underworld. And for the first time ever, her children speak publicly about the lasting consequences of her life of crime. Hosted by investigative journalist Livvy Haydock, Gangster: The Story of the Black Widow explores the extraordinary life of Linda, who rose through the ranks of London's criminal scene to become one of the UK's most feared female gangsters. Now 76, Linda opens up in candid interviews with Livvy about love, loss, and lethal consequences. Dubbed 'The Black Widow', Linda served time in the infamous H Wing alongside notorious killers Myra Hindley and Rose West. In this six-part series, she revisits the crimes that defined her, the prison years that changed her, and the regrets that still haunt her. This series also includes exclusive interviews with Linda's children, Neil and Mel, speaking publicly for the first time. In a raw and emotionally charged conversation, they reveal what it was really like growing up as the children of armed robbers, and how their childhood was shaped by crime, violence and loss. Neil recalls playing outside aged just three and a half with what turned out to be a real sawn-off shotgun: 'I thought it was just another toy gun, I'd found it behind the sofa. I was outside running around with it when one of the neighbours knocked on the door. My mum just said, 'Oh, he's got loads of guns.' She thought it was a toy, but it wasn't.' Mel, meanwhile, describes a surreal early memory of going on a spending spree to Hamleys, with money she found under Linda's bed. They also open up about the devastating loss of their father Mickey who was shot and killed during a failed robbery, and how they later lost their mother too, when she was later imprisoned for murder. Neil said: 'When my dad got killed and my mum went to prison, it was like falling into a black hole. You just don't know which way to turn.' Mel added: 'I was angry. I'd already lost my dad, then I lost my mum. I told her that. I was about 14, and I asked her, 'Why did you do that to us?' I was bitter for years. It was like drinking a poison that festered in me.' Both siblings reflect on how that trauma shaped their adult lives, from struggles with addiction and mental health to years spent numbing the pain. 'It's like I walked into a party at 14 and didn't leave until I was in my forties,' Mel said. 'I was reckless. For years I was just on another planet.' Despite the pain, there are also moments of reconciliation. Neil adds: 'I might have been angry with the situation, but I never blamed my mum. I'd still choose her. And my dad. It's just a shame how it all went.' Mel agrees: 'I'd still choose them too, but I'd want it to be different. I used to be envious of my friends whose parents had jobs, mortgages, dinner on the table. That's what I wanted. A normal life.' The Gangster podcast series has garnered millions of downloads and widespread critical acclaim for its deep dives into Britain's criminal underworld. This latest six-part series pushes even further, offering a rare female perspective on violence, power and survival in a world dominated by men - and for the first time, lays bare the personal cost of crime on the children left behind. Livvy Haydock said: 'Linda Calvey's story is one of the most extraordinary I've ever come across. This podcast isn't about glamourising crime, it's about asking how someone becomes 'The Black Widow' and what that says about class, gender, and justice in Britain." Gwyneth Paltrow supports son Moses as he follows in Chris Martin's footsteps
The youngest child of a well-known musician and his acting ex-wife is following in the footsteps of his father by being in a band, who performed at a gig in the US this week The son of a well-known musician is now following in their footsteps by their pursuing a career in music. They took to the stage with their band at a concert earlier this week and their Oscar-winning mother was there for support. Moses Martin, 19, is the youngest child of Coldplay 's Chris Martin, 48, and actor Gwyneth Paltrow, 52. The exes, who split in 2014 before getting divorce, but who have remained on good terms, are also parents to Apple Martin, 21. Like his father, Moses is a member of a band, with him one third of trio Dancer. His group performed at a concert in Chicago recently whilst supporting another band. It comes after Chris issued a warning to his own fans during his first gig with Coldplay since a kiss cam scandal earlier this month. Moses' band Dancer took to the stage at the Thalia Hall in Chicago last night. Alongside his bandmates Orlando and Andy, he opened for duo Royel Otis - who are due to perform at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival soon - at the venue. Prior to the gig, Dancer posted about their appearance on platforms like Instagram. Alongside a video of the trio performing together whilst sat on the back of a truck, they shared details of the gig with their followers. "I love this band," one person reacted to the post. Another wrote in the comments section: "Amazing." Someone else responded to the band's post: "See ya there." Someone else asked: "How can I listen to your songs???" Dancer teased over potential music being released soon, with the band's account replying: "Soon." Gwyneth liked the post and shared her excitement over the upcoming gig in the comments section. Teasing that she would be there to support her son, she wrote: "Can't wait." She later revealed that she was at the show in a post on her own account on the platform. The actor uploaded a photo that was seemingly taken backstage at the venue last night. It showed three microphone kits, each with a band member's name on, and Gwyneth didn't provide any caption. More recently, in a post uploaded to her Instagram Story earlier today, she shared a photo of the band on stage. Gwyneth shared her pride over Moses being a musician in a tribute for his birthday on the platform back in April. She wrote at the time: "Happy birthday [Moses]. Honestly, you are a dream come true. You are deeply kind and brilliant." She continued by writing to him: "You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college. And today more than ever. I love you my boy."

Adam Collard feared Laura Woods' miscarriage was 'karma' for his love-rat past
Former Love Island star Adam Collard has admitted he blames his past "love rat" ways for bringing "bad karma" onto his relationship with sports presenter Laura Woods Adam Collard has revealed he blames his past actions for fiancee Laura Woods having a miscarriage. The former Love Island star admitted he believes his previous "love rat" persona brought "bad karma" on the pair. The Geordie star, 29, confessed he believes his dating show antics on the likes of the ITV show - where he appeared twice - and Celebs Go Dating brought negative energy onto his current relationship. The gym owner is set to be put through his paces on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, taking part in a series of gruelling physical challenges. Speaking on the new series, dad-of-one Adam explained his thought process. He told the cameras: "I know it's a terrible way to look at it, but I felt like it was bad karma for me being on dating shows and upsetting too many people. "I felt like that was some high power's way of being like, 'Well, there you go, that's what you have to carry'." He went on: "I was just a cocky little p***k, being a love rat jumping from girl to girl. I want to show I'm not that man any more." And revealing why he chose to test himself on the endurance show, the fitness fanatic explained it was the mental test he desired. "'I had a lot of stuff going on before I went on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins," he said. "And I've got to be honest but credit to the show, I actually think it had the most positive impact on my mental health." Adam began dating sports presenter Laura in October 2023. The following year they announced they were expecting their first child and in April 2025 they welcomed their son Leo. The pair have both kept their followers up to date with their family life and at the turn of the year, Adam posted a candid message on his social media. At the time, he wrote: "2024, the hardest year of my life." He went on: "I've seen lot of amazing 2024 posts over the last few days... but if you're struggling right now, remember that Instagram is a highlights reel, and if you're struggling you aren't alone. "Struggled with my mental health more than ever. Lost something important. Struggled with injuries. Suffered with addiction to painkillers and sleeping pills and justified it as 'it doesn't affect fitness' or because it wasn't booze. "Got diagnosed with depression. Prescribed anti-depressants. Lost family. Drifted from certain friends. Tried to reach out to people and failed. Felt lost." But he admitted he also had a lot to be positive about, including his son and relationship. At the time, Laura issued a gushing response. In the comments section, replying: "Proud of you. You're going to be the most amazing dad x."
