Pitbull, the Miami native and club-rap superstar, is embracing a viral trend where fans show up to his concerts wearing bald caps and fake beards to copy his signature look.
Why it matters: It's the latest iteration of the concert uniform, as the New York Times describes it, popularized by artists like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and — historically — the late Florida singer Jimmy Buffett.

The latest: Masses of fans showed up to his London concert on Monday in full Pitbull regalia, turning the crowd into a "sea of nude latex," the Times reported.
"To wander among the Pitbulls feels like Halloween night, if Halloween had only one costume option and it was Pitbull," Times reporter Callie Holtermann wrote.
"I'm pretty sure every party shop in London is sold out of bald caps," a fan told the newspaper.
Pitbull, ever the business man, even started selling a " Mr. 305 kit" with a bald cap and bowtie for $19.99.
Outside the O2 Arena, fans told the Times that it was "one big inside joke" or "mob mentality" that motivated them to draw on fake mustaches with liquid eyeliner and cut up stockings to make bald caps.
It resembled, per the Times, "one of the planet's largest and most haphazardly assembled drag shows."

For nearly 100 years, locals and tourists have flooded Gloucester's streets in celebration of the Feast of St. Peter, the patron saint of fisherman, shipbuilders, and sailors. Two orphaned cheetah cubs, affectionately named after the power couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, are proving to be inseparable companions. Rescued from the illegal wildlife trade, these tiny cats have formed a powerful bond, snuggling, playing, and exploring their new home together. According to a report, the conservation center introduced the new orphaned cubs to Swift once they were settled in. In no time, Swift bonded with them, but formed a particularly close relationship with one five-month-old cub. The center described him as 'playful, confident, and has a winning streak.' Seeing the bond between the two cubs, the cheetah center named the newcomer 'Travis Kelce' after the Kansas City Chiefs' tight end. They noted that both cats had become inseparable, spending a lot of time together. 'Not only is [cub Taylor Swift] thriving, it looks like we have a little Love Story unfolding on the savannah. The two have become nearly inseparable—grooming each other, napping side by side, and occasionally partaking in friendly roughhousing,' they said. The cheetah cubs' bond mirrors the beautiful relationship between singer Taylor Swift and her man. The pair sparked dating rumors in July 2023 when eagle-eyed Swifties spotted the NFL star at Swift's Eras Tour at the Arrowhead Stadium.
