The comedian's Midtown East home, located at 255 E. 49th St., was sold for $US4.75 million ($A7.3 million) last month, the New York Post exclusively revealed on Monday.
O'Donnell purchased the triplex unit for $8 million ($A12.3 million) in 2017.
The 3,381-square-foot suite features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a glass-enclosed room with a view of the East River, a sauna and a rooftop deck.
O'Donnell, 63, originally listed the penthouse for $US8.3 million ($A12.8 million) in early 2023. She later dropped the price.
The A League of Their Own star gave up her ritzy home before Trump's inauguration in January.
'I'm here in Ireland. And it's beautiful and warm — not physically. It's actually quite cold,' she said in a TikTok video at the time.
'It's been pretty wonderful, I have to say,' the Sleepless in Seattle star continued. 'The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I'm very grateful.'
O'Donnell, whose grandparents are from Ireland, shared that she started the process of getting her Irish citizenship.
The actress said she was motivated to move to keep her non-binary child, Clay, safe.
'I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that's what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. And here we are,' she explained.
'You know, I'm happy. Clay is happy. I miss my other kids. I miss my friends. I miss many things about life there at home and I'm trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that's when we will consider coming back.'
O'Donnell later shared that her mental health drastically improved since moving overseas.
'I feel healthier [and] I'm sleeping better without the stress and anxiety over what was happening politically in the country,' she said in another video.
The TV personality is also the parent to kids: Parker, 29, Chelsea, 27, Blake, 25, Vivienne, 22.

Live updates in Sean ‘Diddy' Combs' trial as jury deliberates
Don't miss out on the headlines from Celebrity Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. Jury members in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex-trafficking trial have been ordered to deliberate further after failing to reach a decision on one count. On day two of deliberations following the music mogul's six-week trial in New York, the 12-person panel had decided on four out of five counts but couldn't agree on the charge of racketeering conspiracy, resulting in a hung-jury. In a note sent to the judge at 4pm, local time, the judge was informed that members were deadlocked, with their opinions 'unpersuadable', per CNN. Lead defence lawyer Marc Agnifilo, left, looks over Sean 'Diddy' Combs' shoulder as he reads the note asking for portions of Cassie Ventura's testimony in Manhattan federal court. Lawyers for the defence and prosecution pushed the judge to instruct jury members to continue deliberating on the racketeering conspiracy charge. Santiago/Getty Images via AFP MORE: Jailed Diddy's wild $98m move exposed There was a fair bit of back-and-forth between Judge Arun Subramanian and lawyers for both the defence and prosecution to determine next steps. Combs' lawyer Marc Agnifilo asked the judge to gently instruct the jury to continue deliberations, while the prosecution questioned if the judge would enforce the 'Allen' charge, also known as the 'dynamite' charge, which is used when jurors are unable to reach a verdict. The 'Allen' charge is a strategy to encourage jurors to re-evaluate their positions in order to reach a decision, though it's considered to be a controversial move, with some believing it pushes members to change their existing stances. The jury was soon brought into the courtroom where Judge Subramanian advised members to continue their deliberations. Shortly afterwards, the jury sent a note instructing they had finished deliberations for the day and would continue tomorrow from 9am, local time. Press in the courtroom have described the scenes as 'tense', reporting Combs sat surrounded by his lawyers who were comforting him. CNN reports Combs, at one point, whispered to his six adult children seated in the second row behind him. He was heard telling his mother, Janice, 'I'll be alright. Love you.' It's unclear how long it'll be until a decision is reached, with no set time limit for deliberations. Combs could face up to life in prison if he's found guilty on the most serious charges. Jury in Sean 'Diddy' Combs trial reaches partial verdict but are deadlocked on final charge
This article contains references to domestic violence and sexual assault. The jury at Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking trial has reached a verdict on four of the five counts the music mogul faces, the judge overseeing the case said, without revealing the outcome. After two days of deliberation, the jury reached a verdict on four charges: two counts of sex trafficking and two of transportation to engage in prostitution, United States district judge Arun Subramanian announced. But the judge said the jury had not been able to reach a verdict on a fifth charge, racketeering conspiracy, because jurors had "unpersuadable opinions on both sides". He instructed the jury to continue deliberating on the racketeering conspiracy count. The jury will resume deliberations at 11pm AEST on Wednesday. Combs, 55, had pleaded not guilty to all five counts . If convicted of sex trafficking or racketeering, the former billionaire known for elevating hip-hop in American culture could face life in prison. Before the judge read the jury's note, Combs rubbed his eyes and rested his face against his palm while seated at the defence table with his lawyers huddled around him. One defence lawyer, Brian Steel, rubbed Combs' shoulder. Two of Combs' other defence lawyers put their arms around each other. The partial verdict comes after a seven-week trial in which two of the music mogul's former girlfriends testified that he physically and sexually abused them. Sean 'Diddy' Combs second from left, watches from the defence table as the judge speaks to the jury in Manhattan federal court. Source: AP / Elizabeth Williams Prosecutors say Combs was charged with racketeering because for two decades he used his business empire to force two of his romantic partners to take part in drug-fueled, days-long sexual performances sometimes known as "freak offs" with male sex workers in hotel rooms while Combs watched, masturbated and occasionally filmed. His lawyers acknowledged the Bad Boy Records founder, once famed for hosting lavish parties for the cultural elite in luxurious locales like the Hamptons and Saint-Tropez, was at times violent in his domestic relationships . But they said the sexual activity described by prosecutors was consensual. Jury asks to review Cassie's testimony Earlier on Tuesday, the jury asked to review portions of the testimony of the rhythm and blues singer Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, who testified that Combs forced her to take part in "freak offs" throughout their decade-long relationship. The 12-member jury asked to review Ventura's testimony regarding a 2016 incident at an InterContinental hotel in Los Angeles, when a surveillance camera captured footage of Combs kicking and dragging Ventura in a hallway. Jurors saw the security camera footage several times throughout the trial. Prosecutors say that at the time of the incident, Ventura was attempting to leave a "freak off". Prosecutors say that conduct amounted to sex trafficking because Combs used force and threats to cut off financial support or release sex tapes of Ventura to coerce her to take part in the performances, and because the escorts were paid. Combs' defence pointed to tender and sexually explicit text messages that Ventura sent Combs throughout their relationship to bolster their argument that she took part in the "freak offs" because she loved Combs and wanted to make him happy. They say the violent 2016 altercation stemmed from a dispute about Combs' relationship with another woman. Prosecutors charged Combs with racketeering conspiracy because they say his employees facilitated his abuse by setting up hotel rooms for "freak offs" and procuring illegal drugs for the sex parties. The defence argued Combs kept his personal and professional lives separate and that the drugs were for his personal use.
