A huge Bitcoin transfer worth almost $1 billion happened recently. This Bitcoin was sent from Coinbase to an unknown wallet. The transfer caused a big buzz in the crypto world because no one knows who owns the new wallet.People think this might be either a big company buying Bitcoin or someone putting their coins into cold storage for long-term safety. Whale Alert , a tracker that watches large crypto movements, reported that 7,743 BTC, worth around $916.25 million, was moved. At that time, Bitcoin's price was $118,329.11 per coin. This is part of a larger trend of whales (people with huge Bitcoin amounts) becoming more active again. Data from IntoTheBlock showed that big Bitcoin transactions have gone up in the last 2 weeks. This shows that huge BTC holders are back and moving their coins again.Things got more exciting when a Bitcoin whale , who hadn't touched their BTC for 14 years, suddenly became active again. This whale moved $8.7 billion worth of Bitcoin across multiple unknown wallets. These transfers happened in just a few hours.Around the same time, Bitcoin's price dropped below $117,000, making people think a price correction might be coming. That same old whale also sent 9,000 BTC (about $1.06 billion) to Galaxy Digital, a crypto investment firm. These massive moves have made the Bitcoin market very shaky and unsure.Traders and investors now fear more selling might happen, causing even more price drops. Everyone is watching closely because this sudden whale activity is shaking up the market. The final effect on Bitcoin's price and the crypto world is still unknown. It was sent to an unknown wallet, possibly for long-term storage or by a big investor.Massive whale moves made people fear more selling, which caused panic and liquidations.

‘Confident India will get special treatment…': Piyush Goyal says trade deal talks with US making ‘fantastic' progress; ‘important to…'
India has hardened its stance on opening its agriculture and dairy sector - a consistent stand in all its trade deals so far. (AI image) India-US trade deal negotiations are making 'fantastic' progress according to Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal . His statement comes days ahead of US President Donald Trump 's reciprocal tariff deadline of August 1. Both India and the US are looking to seal a mini or interim trade deal ahead of that. Goyal has also expressed optimism about getting preferential treatment for India from the Trump administration, according to a Reuters report. In the last few days Trump has announced several trade deals with countries like Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines. Earlier this month the US President sent out tariff letters to over 20 countries informing them of tariff rates effective August 1. Since then some of these countries have struck a trade deal with America. Notably, India has not received any letter so far. India Eyes 'Special Treatment' From US During his United Kingdom visit for the signing of the India-UK trade deal, Goyal downplayed the significance of deadlines in trade negotiations whilst expressing optimism about the discussions with the United States. "We're making fantastic progress with the United States, and I do hope we'll be able to conclude a very consequential partnership," Goyal said when asked about the trade deal. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Compare Spreads: Bitcoin vs Ethereum CFDs IC Markets Learn More Undo Also Read | India-US trade deal: India wants Donald Trump administration to offer tariff rate lower than Indonesia; eyes competitive advantage India has hardened its stance on opening its agriculture and dairy sector - a consistent stand in all its trade deals so far. The US is pushing for access into these two sectors. When questioned about potential disagreements with Washington regarding agriculture, Goyal responded that "negotiations happen in the negotiation room", whilst indicating that India would consider accepting smaller sectoral achievements rather than insisting on a comprehensive agreement. Importantly, Goyal said that India is looking for preferential market access into the US compared to its competitors. "All options are on the table, and we will see how it plays out, but what is important is to get preferential market access over our competitors, our peers," he was quoted as saying by Reuters. "And I'm very confident that India, having been the first country to start negotiating, will be given a special and preferred treatment,' he added. Earlier this week Reuters reported government sources as saying that an interim trade deal with the US ahead of the August 1 deadline for 26% reciprocal tariffs looks unlikely. Goyal expressed his view that negotiations have never been successful when constrained by timelines or predetermined restrictions. He emphasised his desire for an agreement that benefits all parties involved. "One has to have a broad mind and a package which is balanced and can give equity to both sides." What Trump Has Said In the last few weeks, the US President has repeatedly indicated that a trade deal with India is 'near'. Indian officials were in the US last week for the fifth round of talks for the bilateral trade agreement. According to a PTI report, US officials are likely to visit India in the second half of August for another round of trade talks. While both countries are targeting the first phase of the trade deal by fall, expectations have been there for an interim agreement being announced. While announcing a trade deal with Indonesia, Trump had indicated that the trade deal with India is being worked on similar lines in terms of market access. He has time and again asked major world economies to open their markets for US products, indicating flexibility in bringing down tariff rates. His comments came after sealing a trade deal with Japan with 15% reciprocal tariffs on the latter. Prior to the August 1 deadline, the US President has specified a minimum tariff rate of 15%, indicating an upward shift in the baseline from 10%. "We'll have a straight, simple tariff of anywhere between 15% and 50%," Trump said Wednesday at an AI summit in Washington according to a Bloomberg report. UK, Australia back embattled submarine deal with US
Britain said Friday it will join Australia in a 50-year commitment to their nuclear-powered submarine pact with the United States, seeking to bolster a deal that Washington has thrown into doubt. Britain touted its "historic" new treaty with Australia in a government statement but gave few details beyond saying it would help economic cooperation, and "underpin" the existing three-nation AUKUS pact . The British statement repeated previously released figures that the AUKUS submarine programme would lead to the creation of 21,000 UK jobs. Live Events It said the submarine programme was expected to be worth "up to" 20 billion pounds (US$27 billion) in British exports over the next 25 years. Under the 2021 AUKUS deal, Australia would acquire at least three Virginia-class submarines from the United States within 15 years, eventually manufacturing its own subs. The US Navy has 24 Virginia-class vessels but American shipyards are struggling to meet production targets set at two new boats each year. In the United States, critics question why Washington would sell nuclear-powered submarines to Australia without stocking its own military first. Analyst Tom Corben from the US Studies Centre in Australia said the new treaty between Canberra and London was an important show of solidarity. "The symbolism is important given everything else that is happening," he said. Britain's defence and foreign ministers were visiting Australia as their country's Carrier Strike Group and 3,000 personnel took part in annual Talisman Sabre military exercises across Australia and Papua New Guinea. "The UK-Australia relationship is like no other, and in our increasingly volatile and dangerous world, our anchoring friendship has real impact in the protection of global peace and prosperity," Lammy said.
