RTE's Blathnaid Treacy shows off blossoming baby bump at Taste of Dublin launch
The Wicklow star announced she was expecting her second child with husband Charlie Moon earlier this month. The couple are parents to daughter, Nany, who was born in 2023.
Blathnaid stepped out at the launch of Taste of Dublin 2025 at The Leinster since making her baby announcement.
The evening themed around the 20th anniversary of this iconic festival provided guests with a sneak peak of what to expect at this year's event which will return to Dublin's Merrion Square from the 12th – 15th of June.
Blathnaid was joined by radio host Thomas Crosse; celebrity stylist, Corina Gaffey; TV Chef, Erica Drum; Norah Casey and celebrity chef Kevin Thornton.
Guests enjoyed music from saxophonist Conor McGrath and sipped on bespoke Taste of Dublin Glendalough Distillery gin summer drinks and enjoyed an array of delectable signature dishes from Taste of Dublin restaurants Shaku Maku, Parrilla and Dosa Dosa.
Taste of Dublin, CEO, Jo Mathews, said: 'Our 20th anniversary festival programme really does represent an eclectic mix of food connoisseurs, the very best of Irish and international chefs, wonderful pop-up restaurants serving flavour-packed dishes, incredible demos, inspiring masterclasses, fun musical acts and some extra special birthday surprises.'

Tributes paid to well-known Irish musician who was 'a star on and off the stage'
Tributes have been paid following the death of a legendary musician from Co Galway "who lit up the room with his talent and wit". Bernard McNamara, a father-of-three from Corrib Park in Newcastle, was a well-known and highly-respected entertainer who had been performing in pubs and bars across Ireland since the 1970s. Known as 'Mack' to his friends, Bernard is considered a local legend around Galway's Westside and was one of the area's most recognisable characters thanks to his years busking and playing gigs around the city. Bernard sadly passed away on Monday, with his family announcing his death in a notice shared on "It's with a very heavy heart that we announce the death of our incredible father, Bernard McNamara passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025," they wrote. "Predeceased by his father Paddy, mother Helen and brother Anthony. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken son Kenneth, daughters Micaela and Levi and by their mother Linda. Heartbreaking tributes have poured in for the talented musician, with one mourner saying that the city is "is a shade darker for the loss of this great man." Among those to pay tribute was Galway city's Mayor Mike Cubbard, who said: 'I have just heard of the sad passing of Bernard McNamara. A giant of a man who would light up any room, he will be missed by so many near and far. A top man in the community, a brilliant musician and a friend to so so many. Rest in Peace, Bernard.' Meanwhile, a close pal said: "I am so sad on hearing the news of Bernard's passing. Thanks for all the amazing memories Ber, for your friendship, kindness, empathy, belly laughs, hilarious coffee catch-ups over the years and your brilliant musical talent. Your smile lit up every room and you will be so sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. You were larger than life and one in a million. Fly high in a better place dear friend." Mayor of Galway city Mike Cubbard led the tributes as he praised a 'giant of a man' whose talents will be missed 'by many, near and far (Image: Facebook) Another person added: "Sincere condolences to all of Bernards family. A fab person, great story teller, an amazing musician and showman. His music will be sorely missed by all of Galway. May you Rest In Peace now Bernard." A third mourner said: "A gem of a person, his help and kindness along the way is immeasurable. A star on and off the stage, yet always remained one of the nicest genuine humble individuals you could ever meet. Bernard's eyes would always lit up whenever is spoke about his cherished family. I had the privilege of Bernard been a valued member of our outfit back in the day. He certainly knew his way around a building site and had exceptional organisational skills. Bernard the gifted musician singer and storyteller (specially the one's from his time spent in Papua New Guinea and Australia) had a profound positive impact on all he met. What a guy! Respected and loved by all! Rest easy Bernard Mac. You leave a lasting legacy. You'll be missed by many. May your gentle soul rest in peace." A fourth person said: "Bernard was a wonderful friend, always full of life and laughter, with a quick wit that could light up any room. Even when life took me abroad, meeting him, sometimes after a few years remained a highlight, just catching up, chatting about our schooldays, etc, I truly cherished those moments with him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humour, and loyalty. I know his memory lives on in the many stories shared and laughs remembered. May these memories bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead and in the months to come. Wishing you peace, comfort, and all of Bernard's best memories to carry you forward." While another added: "So sorry, to hear of the loss of the one and only Bernard Mac! My condolences to his Children Michaela Levi and Kenneth and rest the family. No matter how you were feeling in the day if you had the privilege of bumping into Bernard you would always leave feeling uplifted always had kind word, and always give you a big hug. He was himself his music he's style he's charisma. I feel the whole of Galway has lost something with Bernard's passing a real human and a character till the end. Rest in peace Bernard you will never be forgotten. Bernard will lie in repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue, Galway (H91 V1K8) from 4pm to 6.30pm on Friday. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Bernard at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road, on arrival at 11am on Saturday. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Netflix unveil Colin Farrell's latest project after Emmy nomination
Collin Farrell's new psychological thriller Ballad of a Small Player is to be released in Irish cinemas in October. The Emmy-nominated star sees him with Edward Berger, the director of the Oscar-winning Conclave and All Quiet on the Western Front. Ballad of a Small Player is based on the Lawrence Osborne book The Ballad of a Small Player and is adapted for the screen by Rowan Joffe, which was published in 2014. Fans in frenzy as staple 2010s drink re-appears in Irish sweet shop
Irish people have taken a sweet trip down memory lane as a staple drink reappeared in a shop in Limerick. For those who are maybe too young to remember Jones Soda, the 'craft' soda was made with cane sugar, and came in 'different' flavours ranging from green apple to bubblegum (which was blue for some reason — although it was the most memorable flavour!) Despite its flavours being considered different in any sense, they've also released even more bizarre flavours; including bacon in 2010 (yes, seriously) poutine soda (right), and 'invisible' soda, where no flavours or ingredients were listed, rather just a photo (okay, that one sounds pretty funny). They also released 'seasonal' sodas over the years, including Christmas ham soda, Egg Nog soda, and 'Big Ass Canned Ham' soda (we're not sure what their obsession with ham flavoured soda was, either).
