Paula McIntyre's breaks the mould with savoury madeleines and a seasonal crumble treat
Melissa McCabe was a finalist on the TV show Great British Menu and owns Feast Restaurant in Rostrevor. Last week she put up a picture of madeleines. These buttery French pastries are usually baked in a distinct oval shell-like shape, but Melissa's were round and beautifully marked. Needless to say, the trays arrived a couple of days later. Warm madeleines, straight out of the oven, served with a hot coffee, are one of life's great pleasures. You can shut your eyes and transport yourself to a Parisian patisserie or a fine establishment in Rostrevor…

David Beckham seen for first time since op as he gives injury update
David Beckham entered the field at the Club World Cup with his arm in a sling after undergoing a secret operation from an injury he suffered during his playing career David Beckham was seen for the first time since his secret operation. The former footballer stepped out with his arm in a sling after going for surgery on an injury that had plagued him for over 20 years. The secret operation was required following a broken wrist he suffered while playing for England 22 years ago. At the time, he landed awkwardly after a challenge in a game against South Africa. The Three Lions went on to win the 2003 friendly 2-1. Now, though, the Inter Miami co-founder was on hand to watch the American side's huge clash with another of his former teams, Paris Saint-Germain. The teams faced off in Atlanta in the Club World Cup. Looking smart in his club's suit, Becks was seen sporting a navy blue sling with his arm heavily bandaged. At one point, he was seen chatting with former PSG midfielder, Blaise Matuidi at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia. The 50-year-old former England captain looked in good spirits as he watched on heavily strapped. He said: "It's fine. It's an old injury that needed surgery, but it's all good. All good." It comes days after he revealed he was recovering in hospital. At the time, his loving wife Victoria Beckham shared a snap of the star lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling. Over the top of the image of him smiling in a hospital gown, former Spice Girl Victoria wrote: "Get well soon, Daddy." She also gave him a friendship bracelet made with white beads to form 'Get Well Soon'. David recently revealed how his hugely successful career had left him with a number of injuries after years of "wear and tear". He said: "Certain parts of my body were a real mess." And speaking to DAZN, Becks said of his latest op: ""It's fine. It's an old injury that needed surgery, but it's all good. All good." Discussing the match at hand, he also added to DAZN: "To be honest, it's quite an emotional match for me. Obviously, the team that we own is playing probably the best team in the world right now, and who would have thought?" "For me to finish my career in Paris the way I did with this club was very special. I only spent six months there, but it felt like 16 years. It's a real family. "It's a real special club, owned by special people, run by a special man. We're very proud of this moment to be stood here, knowing that we are playing against PSG as owners, as friends, as partners. It's very special." Ahead of Sunday's match, Lionel Messi also admitted that he wasn't entirely happy during his time in the French capital. He said: "Coming to play for Inter Miami was an opportunity and the way things developed during my last years in Paris, although it was a decision that I had to make on the go, because I had to leave from Barcelona, I went through two years which I didn't enjoy. "I wasn't happy on a daily basis, with the training, the matches. I had a hard time adapting to all that. I felt called to come to Inter [Miami] because it's a club that's growing, very new, with few years as a club."
