Northern Irish presenter Eamonn Holmes has spoken out about the 'horrible' former co-stars he has worked with on TV on the latest episode of his podcast, branding some of them 'false, false, false'.
The Belfast man was speaking on his Things We Like podcast he hosts alongside Paul Coyte, as Thursday's episode featured The Departed actor Ray Winstone and the trio got onto the subject around the world of showbiz.
When asked by Holmes about why Winstone decided to leave Los Angeles and why he was not 'mixing and socialising' with his other celebrity pals, the 68-year-old Londoner told the former This Morning presenter it would be like 'living above the shop'.
"LA... I couldn't live in LA. It's constant,' Winstone said.
"Even the guy who puts petrol in your car works in the industry. It's like every two minutes, it's all they want to talk about. We talk about birds and football and boxing, you know, they talk about movies.
"There's something else out there, you know, and I think to be successful in what you do, you've got to know what else is going on in the world rather than be wrapped up in your own fantasy world.
"Hollywood and Los Angeles are wonderful places when you're doing alright, but when you're not."
Holmes – an experienced figure in the world of showbiz – shared his own experience of 'fakery' in the industry, adding: "'I don't like this character. I don't like so and so. I like that person. I didn't get on with them'.
"That's what the business is based on. I mean, I'm like you [Winstone]. I get myself into trouble because if I don't like someone, they'll know I don't like them.
"And there are so many horrible people that you end up with. People say: 'Oh, he's lovely, he's fantastic'.
"If they say to me: 'What's that Ray Winstone like?' I'll say he is lovely and he is fantastic and people will believe me because I wouldn't say it if you weren't, but so many are just false, false, false.'

While Holmes didn't elaborate on who he was referring to during the discussion, the Belfast man has previously spoken about several high-profile feuds with former on-screen colleagues, including former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield.
Last year the 65-year-old claimed Schofield 'deserves to be in exile' from TV and said he was 'addicted to fame, absolutely addicted to fame'.
Things We Like with Eamonn & Paul releases new episodes weekly and is available to stream and download on the major podcast streaming services.

Ex-drug mule Michaella McCollum signed up to Celebrity SAS to ‘push myself'

McCollum, from Dungannon, Co Tyrone, was caught trying to smuggle 11kg of cocaine worth close to €2m out of Peru with accomplice Melissa Reid in 2013. The pair were jailed for six years and eight months after admitting the crime but were freed in 2016 after striking a deal with Peruvian authorities. I did that show for me. I wanted to improve myself and push myself. It wasn't, 'I'm doing this because I want people to like me' Michaella McCollum McCollum told ITV's This Morning: 'Reality type TV series, I've never really been interested in doing anything like that, but I think SAS, there's no other show like that. 'So I thought it would be a really good way to test myself and try and push myself and do something completely different. 'So it was the one show I was like, you know what? I feel like I've been pushed to my limit through other experiences. Why not try this? Never in my life am I gonna face these type of challenges.' The Channel 4 reality spin-off series follows 14 famous faces as they endure special forces training in an attempt to make it through SAS selection. McCollum said: 'I did that show for me. I wanted to improve myself and push myself. It wasn't, 'I'm doing this because I want people to like me.'' Asked if she was worried about being subject to scrutiny, she said: 'Not really, because I know that's always going to exist. 'And any kind of decisions and things I make, there's always that kind of scrutiny. So I thought, whether I do the show, there'll always be some kind of talk about that.' Speaking about what it was like to stay in prison, she said: 'It's obviously extreme, but I feel like I was incredibly adaptable, like I just kind of got along with it. 'And I think for the first part, I felt so guilty and bad. I kind of just thought: 'OK, I deserve it. I'll just suck it up. I'll just get along with it.' 'But I feel like it made me an amazing person. I came back when I was 23.' Among the other famous faces taking part in the programme are professional boxer Conor Benn, S Club star Hannah Spearritt and the first celebrity deaf recruit, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri. Airing across eight one-hour episodes, the seventh series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will be available to watch on Channel 4 every Sunday and Monday from 9pm starting on August 3.

Father and son duo Paul and Tom, from Liverpool, walked away with the full £10,000 - achieving what had seemed impossible. The high-pressure Final Chart Rundown sees contestants try and name 10 songs and artists. Most read in News TV After five seconds of each song has played, the money in the prize pot starts to drop. This means that players make less money the longer time they take. "We always knew that we'd go on together, as you need knowledge of music spanning all decades. "The two teams we were competing with were incredible, I couldn't believe when we go through to the final round, the adrenaline was immense and obviously over the moon with the result.' Paul said: "Tom inherited his love of music from me, we are big quizzers, and music is always our speciality subject. "To get through to the final round was a big achievement as it was competitive game play throughout. "I would have been happy with £1,000 and a day out with my son. "We weren't aware that no-one had won the jackpot before and as we got to song seven in the final round the tension in the studio was palpable. "I was very proud of Tom for getting the song names in about three seconds."
