'Ekka' Box Office Collection Day 1: Yuva Rajkumar collects Rs 1.60 crore on opening day

's much-anticipated film 'Ekka' was released in theatres on July 18 and early estimates suggest that the film has made a solid impact at the box office.
According to the trade analyst Sacnilk report, the mass action entertainer minted over Rs 1.60 crore on its opening day, marking a promising start for a solid box office run.
Strong occupancy across shows

, also features Aditya in a key role, and the actor's impressive portrayal of a cop has earned rave reviews. The film's raw action and mass appeal have worked for audiences, as seen in the occupancy numbers.
As per the report, 'Ekka' recorded an overall 40.20% occupancy in the Kannada market on its opening day. The film started with 29.27% in morning shows, which picked up considerably during the afternoon, reaching 38.27%.
Evening shows maintained steady traction at 35.96%, but it was the night shows that drove the highest footfall with an impressive 57.28% occupancy.

About the film
The plot centers around Muttu, a young man from a small town who travels to Bengaluru in search of his deceitful friend Ramesh. However, Muttu finds himself entangled in the dark underworld of the city, facing unexpected challenges that test his resolve and alter his path profoundly.
Apart from Yuva Rajkumar, the film also features Sanjana Anand, and Sampada Hulivana in lead roles.
