Gogglebox fans ask 'what did I just watch' as they call out 'sex obsessed' show
Gogglebox viewers were left 'disgusted' just minutes in as they called out 'sex obsessed show.
During Friday's (May 16) episode of the Chanel 4 hit show, which first aired in 2013, the armchair critics returned to our TV screens as they shared their opinions on the week's hit TV shows and films.
Those who tuned in saw the stars watch a number of shows including The Four Seasons, Race Across the World, The Piano, I Kissed a Boy, Made in Chelsea and Prue Leith's Cotswold Kitchen.
However it was one show that had everyone talking as they tuned into the new Channel 4 program, Virgin Island.
The six-part series sees 12 individuals, who have never had sex before travel to Croatia with the aim to explore intimacy for the first time and hopefully lose their virginity on camera.
Aged between 22 and 30 years old, the first-timers will work with a range of sex and relationship coaches, sexologists, 'bodyworkers' and even tantric masseurs to help them overcome their fears of intimacy.
As the scene played out and the cast watched on in horror as sex expert Celeste Hirschman helped contestant Jason with touch therapy.
The sex experiment took a turn as Celeste got on top of Jason and rubbed up against him. The Gogglebox cast were left in disbelief at the X-rated moment.
Viewers watching at home were also left 'disgusted' at the scene and It didn't take long for fans to rush straight to social media to share their reaction. One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: 'Channel 4 is obsessed with sex.' Another said: 'Cringe worthy #gogglebox."
A third fumed: '#Gogglebox Who thinks up these shows and who on earth would watch them. Disgusting!'
One commented: 'Cringe #gogglebox.' Meanwhile another added: 'Nah, what did i just watch #Gogglebox #VirginIsland.'
It comes as viewers were previously left speechless after finding out Pete Sandiford's real age. The star has been a fan favourite since joining the series in 2017 alongside sister Sophie.
Back in 2023, Sophie shared her real age - she was then 27 years old. As expected Pete couldn't help but tease his sister, as he joked: "I'm glad you said it because I was about to say 25." Then he added: "You old cow."
Sophie snapped back, reminding Pete that he was pushing 30 at the time as she said: "You're the big 30 this year. A dirty thirty."

ITV Love Island's Dejon slammed as 'jealous' by fans as he reacts to villa exit
Harrison and Lauren both left the villa in recent episodes, which has shaken up the dynamic among the rest of the group but not all viewers are buying it. Sunday night's Love Island episode saw the villa reflect on Harrison's bombshell exit. Many of his co-stars expressed how "proud" and "delighted" they were for him deciding to leave the ITV show, following Lauren's shock dumping. However eagle-eyed viewers spotted that one person in the villa appeared to be glad to see the back of Harrison, as it put them further forward in the competition. Fans took to social media airing that they think Dejon was pleased to see him go. One viewer wrote on Twitter: "Dejon is just happy he eliminated competition . He is jealous of Harrison", whilst another commented: "Dejon you're only happy for him because you think you're on the way to win" A third ITV viewer noted: "Of course Dejon is buzzing, one less person to beat", whilst a fourth wrote: "Dejon is just happy the competition is now smaller! ! ! !" It comes following a rollercoaster week in the villa, which saw Lauren brutally sent packing after new bombshell Angel chose to couple up with Ty, leaving her single and dumped. Harrison was left at odds, after being in a couple with Toni, but confessing he missed Lauren. He left everyone in both the villa and viewers watching on stunned as he continued to be stuck in a love triangle with the pair seemingly unable to work out his feelings. However, he eventually left after Lauren admitting he felt she was "girlfriend material" and the pair could work on the outside. There wasn't a dry among them when he left as he became emotional, with Toni also breaking down at how she was treated during her time with him. Since leaving the villa, Harrison and Lauren have discussed their plans. Harrison shared: "We'll make the distance work! It will be no issue. We left on good terms, but the two days prior to leaving, we weren't talking properly, so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there. "I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn't have left if I didn't. I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be my girlfriend one day. I'm buzzing to see her and reunite! She's such a great girl." Elsewhere, he also expressed his hopes to maintain a friendship with Toni outside of the show, acknowledging that he might not receive the same sentiment due to past mistakes. Reflecting on his behaviour, Harrison admitted: "You could tell by me getting emotional, I was upset about how I've acted and upset about Toni being upset as well. Similarly, if someone treated my sister like I'd treated Toni in there obviously I'd be mortified. I wanted to apologise to her and I think she could see I was being genuine. I'm happy with how things were left." Love Island will continue tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Love Island fans spot 'unusual behaviour' as shock exit leaves Islanders reeling
Following Harrison's dramatic exit from the villa, fans claim that Dejon is 'buzzing' that there is one less person to try and beat to the final of the show in a few weeks In tonight's episode of Love Island, the Islanders were seen reflecting on Harrison's departure, with many saying they are 'proud' of him and 'happy' for him. However, fans have claimed Dejon is only happy Harrison has left as he is 'competition' to get to the final. One person took to X, formally known as Twitter and said: 'Dejon is just happy he eliminated competition . He is jealous of Harrison', while another added: 'Dejon you're only happy for him because you think you're on the way to win'. A third said: 'Of course Dejon is buzzing, one less person to beat', while a fourth penned: "Dejon is just happy the competition is now smaller!!!!". It follows after an emotional week where the villa said goodbye to Lauren and Harrison after Harrison couldn't seem to make up his mind whether he wanted to be with Lauren or Toni. The drama unfolded when Lauren was dumped from the villa after bombshell Angel chose her partner Ty, leaving everyone shocked. Just a night later, a heartbroken Harrison made the bold decision to walk out and be with her on the outside. Although Harrison had only recently tried to rekindle things with Toni, their romance had already fizzled out in earlier episodes. In a heartfelt moment, he told the remaining Islanders that he had found something real with Lauren, making his emotional exit hand in hand with her. Since leaving the villa, Harrison and Lauren discussed their plans for the future. When asked what was next for himself and Lauren on the outside, Harrison said: "We'll make the distance work! It will be no issue. We left on good terms, but the two days prior to leaving, we weren't talking properly, so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there." "I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn't have left if I didn't. I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be my girlfriend one day. I'm buzzing to see her and reunite! She's such a great girl." Elsewhere, Harrison said he hopes to be friends with Toni on the outside, but understands if she doesn't feel the same way as he 'did her wrong a few times'. Reflecting on his actions, Harrison said: "You could tell by me getting emotional, I was upset about how I've acted and upset about Toni being upset as well. Similarly, if someone treated my sister like I'd treated Toni in there obviously I'd be mortified. I wanted to apologise to her and I think she could see I was being genuine. I'm happy with how things were left."

Love Island's iconic challenge returns as fans have same concern
Love Island fans questioned 'weird' behaviour from Islander Emma after she kissed her ex Harry in a new kissing challenge, with fans claiming she is 'obsessed' and 'possessed' The latest instalment of Love Island brought back the kissing challenge, where the boys were blindfolded and rated how good the girls were at kissing. The challenge led to some drama as Harry rated Emma, his ex girlfriend of four years, higher than he rated Helena who he is currently in a couple with. After Emma kissed her ex, she commented that she made her kiss with Harry the longest and said he would have enjoyed kissing her. Fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, where they questioned her behaviour and labelled her 'Delulu' and claimed she was 'obsessed' with her ex. One person wrote: "Emma darling your starting to look really weird ….", while another added: "guys i'm so scared of emma i think she's possessed". A third wrote: "EMMA IS OBSESSED WITH HARRY GET HER INTO AN ASYLUM", while another penned: "Delulu ain't even the word for Emma". It comes after Shakira and Conor's relationship appeared to be on the rocks after an explosive argument, which left Shakira crying into Toni's shoulder. During the islanders' latest villa game, Couples of Sorts, Harrison was selected as part of a "one-sided" couple. He was not happy about the vote and said: "I think Conor and Shakira should be up here. We had a conversation - me, you and H - basically what was said was, you like him more than Ty. But I don't think you like Con as much as you like Harry." Shakira claimed that Harrison and Harry were trying to 'create a narrative' that she still likes Harry. In a heated argument, Shakira told Conor: "It's been twisted and you've wanted to believe the boys straight away. It's ego and pride. Wake up Conor. They're literally the biggest game players here. When have I ever lied to you?" Upset that Conor doesn't believe her, Shakira breaks down in tears and goes to Toni and Yasmin for support. Speaking through her tears, she told the girls: "I don't want to be surrounded by them all the time. For Conor to straight off the cuff believe them… We've been friends for weeks…" She added: '"Why are they trying to create this narrative like I'm obsessed with [Harry]? I don't get it. They're all just so fake! I'm surrounded by fake f*****g people who smile in your face and chat s**t about you behind your back." While Shakira and Conor appeared to patch things up in Friday evening's episode, and were seen cuddling on the day beds, only time will tell if their relationship is strong enough to last.
