3 of a Guj family among 4killed in fire at Ajmer hotel
The tragedy happened less than 48 hours after 14 people lost their lives in a Kolkata hotel blaze on Tuesday night. The fire started around 8am due to a suspected short circuit in an air conditioner on the fourth floor of Hotel Naaz, located along the route to the dargah, and quickly engulfed the whole building. The victims were trapped on the fifth floor.
In a heroic rescue effort, civil defence personnel instructed a mother to throw her three-year-old son from the fourth floor, successfully catching him mid-air. The mother and child both survived. A youth who jumped from the building was also rescued by the team.
Firefighters reached the spot within 20 minutes, but it took nearly three hours to control the blaze. "The narrow streets posed a significant challenge to the rescue operation," said additional district magistrate Gajendra Singh Rathore.

In the message, she sweetly requests prayers for her career, adding a layer of tragedy to the already disturbing circumstances surrounding her demise. Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar Ali's tragic end has left the entertainment world stunned — and now, her haunting last voice note is breaking hearts online. Discovered dead in her Karachi apartment nearly nine months after her suspected passing in October 2024, Humaira's case has shocked fans and authorities alike. As forensic details continue to emerge, a voice message she sent to a close friend shortly before her death has gone viral, in which she sweetly asked to be remembered in prayers. In the voice note, Humaira can be heard saying, "I'm so sorry, I was travelling, caught up here and there. I'm so happy tum Makkah me ho. Mere liye bohot saari please... apni cutie si dost/ behen ke liye bohot saari dil se dua karna. For my career, dua me zarur yaad rakhna. Mere liye bohot saari tumhe dua karni hai. [Please pray a lot for me... Pray a lot from your heart for your cute friend/sister. For my career, please remember me in your prayers. You have to pray a lot for me]." Humaira Asghar Ali's post-mortem has revealed a disturbing reality. Forensic experts stated that her body was in an "advanced stage of decomposition," to the point where she was barely recognisable, suggesting she had been dead for several months before being discovered. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Odesa: Air Conditioner at an Affordable Price – Quick Installation Air Conditioner | Search Ads Learn More Undo The post-mortem report painted a harrowing picture of Humaira Asghar Ali's condition. It stated that parts of her body had completely lost muscle tissue, and bones began to disintegrate upon touch. The brain matter had fully decomposed through autolysis, internal organs had turned into a blackened mass, and joint cartilage was absent. However, no bone fractures were detected. The report further noted that these findings could provide crucial insights into the environmental conditions in which Humaira's body remained undisturbed for months, helping investigators piece together the circumstances surrounding her death. Additional details from the post-mortem revealed that while Humaira Asghar Ali's head and spine remained intact, the spinal cord was missing due to severe decomposition. The report also noted the presence of brown-coloured insects, particularly in her hair, though no maggots were found on the body. Owing to the advanced stage of decomposition, the exact cause of Humaira Asghar Ali's death could not be determined. However, initial reports point towards a natural death, with no signs of foul play detected so far.
