How To Watch Season 2 Of '1923', The 'Yellowstone' Prequel, In The UK

Elle13 hours ago
As surely as the Duttons will continue to hold their patch of Montana paradise sacred in the mega-hit Yellowstone, so will creator Taylor Sheridan's cowboy cinematic universe expand outward and upward. Only the latest example of this phenomenon is the season 2 renewal of 1923, the Yellowstone prequel set in—you guessed it!—1923, with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as the resident Dutton patriarch and matriarch. So far, the Paramount+ spin-off has been a wild success story for the seemingly unstoppable Yellowstone brand.
Season two is set to explore the Roaring Twenties as the years shift ever closer to the brink of the Great Depression. (We aren't even quite sure which of these 1923 characters is grand father to Kevin Costner's John Dutton III. Is it sweet, innocent Jack Dutton? Or, as seems more likely, the strapping safari hunter Spencer Dutton?) Either way, expect many more supposed 'one-hour movies,' if Indiana Jones is to be believed.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in December 2022, Ford said of joining the Yellowstone prequel, 'I had met with Taylor, who gave me a very brief outline of what he had in mind, and I went on faith and my experience with Yellowstone, 1883. He's produced a work of incredible ambition, scale, scope [and] cinematic ambition. Taylor thinks of each of these episodes as a one-hour movie. And that's the product that we're getting.'
Here's what we do know so far.
The second season of 1923 began rolling out Paramount+ episodes on February 23, 2025.
According to the official Paramount+ logline for season two, 1923 will next explore the following: 'A cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.'
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Brandon Sklenar (Spencer Dutton) shared that Spencer's 'calling to go home does propel the story. It's not an easy journey. It's filled with challenges. Spencer and Alex both have a lot to overcome before he can get there. Taylor [Sheridan] doesn't make it easy on anybody in writing these shows.'
To watch season two of 1923 in the UK, you'll need a Paramount+ subscription. Monthly plans start from £4.99, and if you're new to the platform, you can subscribe with seven days of viewing for free before you have to pay.
Actors including Ford, Mirren, Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Aminah Nieves, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Jerome Flynn, Timothy Dalton, Jennifer Carpenter, and Andy Dispensa are all expected to appear in season 2.
On December 16, 2024, following the Yellowstone series finale, Paramount aired a teaser trailer for 1923 season 2. 'Our whole way of life is under attack,' warns Ford's Jacob Dutton. Watch the full clip below:

Kanye 'Ye' West Struggles Through Chaotic, Rain-Soaked Shanghai Concert

Kanye 'Ye' West's return to live performance is off to a rocky start. The errant rapper, producer and mogul's concert in Shanghai on Friday night was beset by technical problems, terrible weather and thousands of people chanting for a refund after he began the show over 40 minutes late. Ye, who rarely plays live these days due to an ongoing struggle to find willing concert partners not turned off by his many swirling controversies, returned to China last week after conducting a lucrative and highly viral listening party at the Wuyuanhe Stadium in Haikou, Hainan Province, in September 2024. His hotly anticipated gig at Shanghai Stadium, planned in support of his forthcoming album Bully, was sold out within minutes, according to local reports, suggesting that the rapper's various racism and social media controversies have not dimmed the enthusiasm of his Chinese fans. More from The Hollywood Reporter Will Justin Bieber Land a No. 1 Debut With 'Swag?' 'Superman' Star Nicholas Hoult Takes on New Role as Save the Children Ambassador Jeff Lynne Cancels Final ELO Show Due to Health Issues The Global Times, a state-backed Chinese news outlet known for its nationalistic stance, reports that Ye's gig was promoted as 'an immersive, multisensory experience, promising innovative stage design, upgraded setlists, and international production teams.' The paper added that 'promotional materials highlighted the show as a 'comprehensive, genre-defying journey through Ye's musical career, combining sound, light, visuals, and installations.'' From the outset, the mood was challenged in Shanghai Stadium Friday night by heavy rain, which poured down upon the stage and the crowd through the arena's open roof. The crowd grew increasingly restless at some point past the gig's scheduled 7:30 p.m. start time, with thousands eventually chanting for refunds. Ye finally arrived at around 8:10 p.m., walking out onto the stadium's vast gray stage solo, wearing black leather pants and a gray hoodie with 'China' written across the back. Fog, projections and spotlights set an austere mood reminiscent of some of his Donda stage design, but with even fewer visual elements. Occasionally, an enormous projection of Ye was beamed across the stage, while overhead screens featured additional reworked footage. According to the Global Times, tickets to the gig were pricey by Chinese standards, ranging from 980 yuan (about $135) to 2,680 yuan ($375). Videos circulating online in China show moments of Ye seemingly giving the performance his all despite the tough circumstances, throwing his body around to the beat and waving his arms wildly as he raps along to his hits. At other moments, he looks utterly defeated, such as when his most recent single, 'Losing Your Mind,' booms through the stadium's sound system, and he stops signing altogether and slowly walks off the stage. Local reports suggest the sound quality throughout the show was inconsistent at best. Even while the concert was underway, Ye became a trending topic on Chinese social media, sparking intense debate among fans. Some defended the rapper and blamed the setbacks on the weather, while others argued it was all a lazy display — or even a cynical ploy to cash in on China at a time when the rapper's brand remains diminished throughout the West. In a career marked by an uncanny ability to stay in the news, Ye has upped the ante in 2025, seemingly leaning into his pariah status in the entertainment industry, and pop culture generally, with a series of hugely controversial music releases and public stunts. In March, the rapper released a track that credited vocals to Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who was about to begin a federal sex trafficking trial. On June 13, Ye, who has been an outspoken defender of Combs, would also appear briefly at Combs' trial and later that month he released Never Stop, an EP by Combs' son Christian 'King' Combs. On the music side, in March, Ye revealed he would release an album titled WW3, which was subsequently changed to Cuck and later A Perfect World. The first single off his upcoming 13th studio album, was the single 'WW3' with a cover image featuring a Ku Klux Klan hood. The second single 'Cousins' was also controversial as its music video feature KKK iconography and a swastika. And finally, the third single was titled 'Heil Hitler.' The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: Bill's plan for Liam?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. When Bill arrived at the hospital in the July 11 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, he was shocked to discover how angry everyone was at him when all he wanted to do was to see Liam. This week's spoilers reveal that he'll be stealing Liam away from the hospital, but why? What causes him to take action? What's his plan, and will he end up helping or hurting Liam in the long run? Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) got the shock of his life upon showing up at the hospital. He'd been alerted that Liam (Scott Clifton) was shot, but he wasn't expecting to learn that Luna (Lisa Yamada) was responsible for it. He was immediately met by a hostile Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who wanted Bill to know that none of this would have happened if he hadn't pulled strings to get Luna released from prison. All Bill wanted was to see his son. He was shocked and devastated to learn he'd been shot — and he still has no idea that his son was already dying from an inoperable brain tumor. In this week's spoilers, it is revealed that Liam goes under the knife again, this time with Grace (Cassandra Creech). By Thursday's episode, Bill 'whisks an unconscious Liam away from the hospital' and that's that. Now, given that Finn (Tanner Novlan) was the one to remove the bullet when Liam initially arrived at the hospital, we have to wonder whether Grace's operation is tied to the brain tumor and that's the reason Bill decides to continue Liam's care elsewhere. Dollar Bill clearly has a plan here — it's not like he's making a decision to care for Liam at home because that would be foolish. It seems like Bill may have learned about his son's condition (probably through Hope, who was urging Liam to tell Bill) and then he made some calls to find out where his son could receive the best care. And then, regardless of medical advice, he made the decision to move Liam to wherever he needed to be to get the best care possible. Bill is known for being impulsive. It didn't help learning that his son was injured because of a decision he made to try to help Luna, but instead of admitting he was wrong, he's going to focus on doing whatever he can to fix things. And helping his son to survive is the first order of business. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS and the following day on Paramount Plus. Ellen DeGeneres Sends Rosie O'Donnell Unexpected 4-Word Message After Trump's Citizenship Threat

Ellen DeGeneres didn't let her history with fellow comedian Rosie O'Donnell affect her response after President Donald Trump 's shocking threat to take away O'Donnell's citizenship. The president reignited his long-running feud with O'Donnell over the weekend, calling her a 'threat to humanity' in a post on Truth Social. 'Because of the fact that Rosie O'Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship,' Trump wrote. 'She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!' O'Donnell responded to Trump in two separate Instagram posts, calling him a ' criminal con man ' who 'lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity.' 'You call me a threat to humanity – but I'm everything you fear,' O'Donnell wrote in a different post. 'A loud woman a queer woman a mother who tells the truth an american who got out of the country b4 u set it ablaze you build walls – I build a life for my autistic kid in a country where decency still exists.' While O'Donnell's fellow comedians and fans showed their support in the comments, DeGeneres' post, in particular, stood out. The comedian screenshotted Trump's post and O'Donnell's response, captioning her Instagram post, 'Good for you @rosie.' O'Donnell and DeGeneres have reportedly had a frosty relationship over the years, as DeGeneres once told Larry King back in 2004 that ' we're not really friends.' O'Donnell previously shared that the two had a good relationship prior to becoming famous, but later developed a bit of 'weirdness.' 'It became a strange, 'There can't be two lesbians in this town' kind of a thing,' O'Donnell told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023. 'Then we each had success and went separate ways.' In an interesting twist, both O'Donnell and DeGeneres moved abroad shortly after Trump was sworn in for his second term. O'Donnell lives in Dublin, Ireland, while DeGeneres settled in the Cotswolds in England. O'Donnell reacted to DeGeneres' move in an interview with US Weekly and said she was 'surprised to read that she left because of President Trump.' 'We're not really in each other's worlds, and it's been kind of awkward but you know what? I wish her the best,' O'Donnell said in the interview, published in April. 'I wish that she has peace and love in her life and that she is OK.'
