Cole Palmer furiously kicks post and rages at Chelsea teammate in Fluminense win

Cole Palmer could not hide his fury with Nicolas Jackson during Chelsea's victory over Fluminense in the Club World Cup.
The Blues secured a 2-0 win over their Brazilian opponents in New Jersey on Tuesday night with Joao Pedro scoring two superb goals on what was his full debut for the club.
The victory booked their place in the final of the competition where Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain await.
Pedro, who joined Chelsea for £60million from Brighton last week, came off the bench in the quarter-final victory over Palmeiras last weekend.
With Liam Delap suspended, the Brazil international was preferred to Jackson who was named among the substitutes in East Rutherford.

Jackson entered the fray after an hour to replace Pedro and passed up a huge opportunity to increase his side's lead.
With 80 minutes on the clock, the Senegal international did well to win back possession high up the pitch before bursting into the box and shooting for goal with a first time effort he fired into the side netting.
Palmer had made a run into the box and was completely unmarked 12 yards out from goal, waiting for the pass which never came.
Palmer then booted the post in frustration, shouting repeatedly at Jackson who held his arm up apologetically.
While Jackson has been Chelsea's sole option up top for the last two seasons, there is now huge competition up front following the arrivals of Delap and Pedro from Ipswich and Brighton respectively.
The former Villarreal star has endured a difficult period for his club. He missed the end of the Premier League season as the result of a red card picked up against Newcastle in May – a ban which also rules him out of the opening game of the 2025-26 season against Crystal Palace. More Trending
The 24-year-old was also needlessly sent off in the group phase of the Club World Cup against Flamengo.
Assessing his performance on Tuesday night, former Wales and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale suggested Jackson's decision not to pass to Palmer showed the striker is feeling the pressure to keep up with his new teammates.
'That is sometimes what competition does, it puts pressure on you,' Bale told DAZN. 'I think if Joao doesn't score, maybe he doesn't feel that pressure and maybe he would probably play a simple pass to Cole Palmer.
'But under pressure, it changes your decision and sometimes it affects your performance. I'm sure a lot of strikers have been in that position before but I think he chose the wrong option there.'

Arsenal consider player swap in £68m Eberechi Eze transfer with Crystal Palace

Arsenal are considering offering a player as part of their bid to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, according to reports. Eze is on Arsenal's shortlist for the summer transfer window with Mikel Arteta keen to recruit a versatile attacking player alongside a new striker. Palace, however, are standing firm over Eze's availability and are demanding that Arsenal, or any other interested club, pay the 27-year-old's release clause, which could total £68 million after bonuses. Arsenal have already spent £55m on signing Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, plus a further £5m on Kepa Arrizabalaga, while they are also close to agreeing a €80m (£69m) deal with Sporting CP to sign Viktor Gyokeres and are set to sign Brentford captain Christian Norgaard for £12m. Eze would represent another significant outlay and according to The Sun, Arsenal are considering the prospect of including a player as part of their bid to Palace. The report adds that Eze is open to joining Arsenal, who are willing to offer Palace a 'promising defender' as a makeweight in the deal to sign Palace's talisman. Liverpool have also considered a move for Eze while last month, Paul Scholes urged Manchester United to sign the midfielder after he emerged as one of the only positives from England's 3-1 defeat to Senegal. Speaking after last summer's transfer window, Palace chairman Steve Parish admitted he was 'astounded' by the lack of interest in Eze. More Trending 'I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs in the same window and we didn't have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have,' Parish told Sky Sports. 'I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy's just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person.' Eze, meanwhile, has made no secret of his desire to join a club that can challenge for the Premier League title. 'Everything there is for me to win, I want to win, and I'll do anything I possibly can to win the Premier League,' he told Sky Sports in May. For more stories like this, check our sport page. Ronaldo's latest move met with brutal statement by Prem winner 'He's done'

Cristiano Ronaldo has committed his future to Al-Nassr for the next two years in a deal worth a stunning £492million, but Emmanuel Petit has slammed the move and claimed it shows he has fallen away from the top level Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Emmanuel Petit has taken aim at Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming the Manchester United legend is "done at the highest level" after signing a new deal with Al-Nassr. Ronaldo's future was up in the air this summer after he teased "this chapter is over" at the end of the last Saudi Pro League season, leading to speculation he could link up with rivals Al-Hilal. ‌ But the 40-year-old quickly ended speculation over his future by putting pen to paper with the Middle East outfit over a new deal that will reportedly earn him around £492million. ‌ That makes him the top-earning athlete in the world and Ronaldo has shown he has no plans to slow down or retire in the immediate future - having helped Portugal win the Nations League last month. He has also continued to plunder an impressive amount of goals after netting 35 times in 41 games last season. However, Petit - who won the Premier League with Arsenal in 1998 - believes that Ronaldo will not return to the top level in Europe after committing his future to Al-Nassr. "Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he is done at the highest level with his new Saudi deal, but he confirmed that when he left Manchester United," Petit told Escapist Magazine. ‌ "Having said that, no one could have matched the crazy money he is being paid, but at 40 he is still playing well and performing for the national team. "I expect to see him at the World Cup next year but I'm not shocked he is staying in Saudi, no one could've matched those terms. They are crazy." ‌ Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr at the end of 2022 after an accrimonious departure from Manchester United, who he accused of "betraying" him by forcing him out of the club. The veteran star will go down as one of the greatest players to have played the game after netting a career total of 956 goals and he is now chasing 1,000. Ronaldo still appears to be hungrier than ever after signing another deal with Al-Nassr. When his new contract was announced, he wrote: "A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let's make history together." He said he received offers to play elsewhere this summer before ultimately committing his future to the Middle East, signing until 2027.

Luis Enrique dodges Kylian Mbappe talk as PSG prepare for hostile reunion in Real Madrid showdown

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique refused to be drawn into comparisons between his Champions League -winning squad and the team that previously featured Kylian Mbappe as his side prepare for a frosty reunion with their former talisman. Mbappe left PSG on a free transfer last summer following a drawn-out contract saga, joining Real Madrid in a move that infuriated Parisians. While, on the surface, losing arguably the world's best striker appeared a hammer blow, his departure allowed Enrique to truly transform PSG into the powerhouse we know today, prioritising the collective over individuality to create the side that at long last ended the club's wait for a Champions League title. Mbappe could be in for a hostile reception from the travelling PSG fans when he takes to the MetLife Stadium on Wednesday - but Enrique is not concerned with comparing the club's fortunes with and without Mbappe. "This is a question about the past and I'm not here to talk about the past, I'm only thinking about the future," Luis Enrique said at his pre-match press conference. Mbappe, who spent the group stage sidelined after being hospitalised with gastroenteritis, was back on the scoresheet as Real edged past Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish coach did acknowledge that facing his former player adds spice to the encounter, saying that "playing against the most successful team in the world" is "definitely extra motivation". "Playing against Real Madrid will be a special match, no doubt about it,' he added. 'At the same time, we like playing these kinds of games because it means you've done your job well and you're in a position to play in a semi-final.' He also refused to compare his star right-back Achraf Hakimi with Real Madrid's marquee arrival Trent Alexander-Arnold, who akin to Mbappe the Galacticos poached on a free after he ran down his contract at boyhood club Liverpool. 'I'm not a fan to analyse or compare players because here in this competition, all of them are top quality,' he added. 'But at the same time, I have to say that Hakimi is without a doubt one of the best right-backs that I have not only trained but watched in my career.' Enrique was the only manager to partake in press duties on Tuesday evening, with Xabi Alonso 's press conference being cancelled due to Real Madrid's late arrival.
