Liam Gallagher makes cheeky reference to THAT Coldplay kiss cam moment at final gig

Yahoo2 days ago
Liam Gallagher made a cheeky reference to the Coldplay concert kiss cam scandal at Oasis' final Heaton Park gig last night (July 20).
A TikTok post went viral this week after it appeared to show a couple embracing at the Coldplay gig in Boston on the big screen - who looked panicked and ducked down out of sight when they realised they were on camera.
The pair were later identified in US media as Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot, the chief executive and chief people officer at US tech firm Astronomer.

Mr Byron has since resigned, as the story went global, even reaching the ears of the Gallagher brothers, as Liam made reference to the viral moment before launching into one of Oasis' most romantic songs at their final gig.
Before launching into Slide Away, Liam said: "This one's for all you love birds...don't worry we don't have a camera, it's not a Coldplay moment.
"It's none of our business who you're with - doesn't matter who you're tingling with, mingling with and ******* with."
It came as the band closed out a historic five-date string of gigs at the north Manchester park, attended by up to 80,000 fans per night.
The M.E.N.'s Dianne Bourne wrote that there was a 'real frisson in the air' with the crowd in the mood for 'one final epic party'.
And that frisson seems to have reached Gallagher Hill, a knoll in Heaton Park outside of the concert area, where thousands of ticketless fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of the stage - and listen to the music floating across the park.
Previously passing without incident, the peace was broken last night when a few fans began 'scrapping' and throwing bottles at each other - though police said it was an 'isolated' incident and quickly resolved.
The band themselves paid tribute to Gallagher Hill, turning the cameras on the fans gathered there, to huge cheers from the crowd - and handing out free t-shirts to commemorate the phenomenon.
An emotional Noel summed the gigs up in the encore, saying: 'For the last ten days the eyes of the world have been on this city of Manchester and I just want to say to all Mancunians, you've done yourself f***ing proud.
'We've got people coming in from all over the world… what I can say by staying in the city is you've still f****ing got it Manchester.'
Liam earlier made his feelings clear, saying: "It's been amazing being here the last f***ing ten days, you've actually blown whatever brain cells I had left. They're well and truly gone.'

London Fashion Week Unveils First Schedule Under New Strategy

This article originally appeared on Vogue Business. To receive the Vogue Business newsletter, sign up here. London Fashion Week's Spring/Summer 2026 edition marks a new era for the event—its first under recently joined British Fashion Council CEO Laura Weir. And the provisional schedule, released today, features some exciting events alongside the city's flagship brands, with the aim of creating more buzz and decentralizing British fashion. Running from September 18 to the 22nd, LFW will feature 18 percent more shows and presentations this season than the spring 2025 collections, according to the BFC. It comes just over a week after Weir announced her first moves in her new role, including scrapping fees for BFC members to show on-schedule. 'This season marks my first as CEO of the British Fashion Council, and 12 weeks into the role, I am pleased to announce an 18 percent increase in designers showing physically and digitally on-schedule,' said Weir in a statement today. 'My intention is to build on the foundations of LFW by focusing on cultural relevance, global competitiveness and meaningful support for designers. Last week, I announced some urgent strategic moves for September, which included waiving show fees for designer members showing physically on the main schedule and doubling the investment in the LFW guest programme to welcome more of the world's leading press, cultural commentators and buyers to the city. This season signals a designer-first approach to LFW that is ambitious, purposeful and rooted in the creative energy of London.' BFC Chief Exec Laura Weir Sets Out Vision For 'Next British Fashion Era' It's been 11 weeks since Weir stepped in to lead the organisation behind London Fashion Week and the Fashion Awards. Last night, she revealed her first moves. Burberry, Roksanda, Erdem, and Emilia Wickstead will return this season, joining the likes of small to mid-size labels Ahluwalia, Harris Reed, Labrum London, Marques Almeida, Paolo Carzana, Patrick McDowell, Richard Quinn, and Tove on the schedule. Elsewhere, BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund winner Conner Ives—who found global fame with his 'Protect the Dolls' T-shirt in support of Trans Lifeline—will show in September for the first time (he normally only shows in London once a year, in February). Cult duo Chopova Lowena will stage their annual show, which has been a highlight of the September calendar since their runway debut in for SS23. Cheshire-born designer Talia Byre, whose presentation last season garnered a lot of editor praise, will make her runway debut.

Sacha Baron Cohen's Pumped Transformation From Borat To Marvel's Mephisto: Photos

EXCLUSIVE: Marvel chief Kevin Feige said in a press gathering this week that Sacha Baron Cohen's Mephisto character will be prominent as the next MCU supervillain. For his part, Baron Cohen transformed his physique as evidenced by the cover of Men's Fitness UK. Baron Cohen has plunged himself into character creations like Borat, Ali G and Bruno, but the work he put into his body with Alfonso 'The Angry Trainer' Moretti indicates playing a shredded Mephisto is more than a one-off for the actor. Compared to Borat's rather hairy visage in the lime green singlet, Baron Cohen's transformed physique is buff, and well, bald. The changes he made through hard and consistent training, coupled with a diet high in fiber and protein and low in sugar, are startling. Maybe not quite as startling as when Deadline unveiled Jake Gyllenhaal's washboard abs transformation to play the boxer in 2015's Southpaw, but a decided change from what Baron Cohen looked like in comedies like Borat and Talladega Nights, and dramatic turns in The Trial of the Chicago 7, and the miniseries The Spy. More from Deadline Who Is [SPOILER]? The Latest Big Marvel Reveal Explained Sacha Baron Cohen's Next Scripted Film Comedy Shopping For New Home: The Dish Rebel Wilson Loses Bid To Have 'The Deb' Producers' Defamation Suit Nipped In The Free Speech Bud Deadline got a peek at the Men's Fitness UK article that comes out later this week and details how Baron Cohen reached out to buff peer Matthew McConaughey to get the phone number of a trainer capable of getting an actor buff and shredded in a hurry. McConaughey suggested Moretti. In their first Zoom call, Moretti made Baron Cohen strip down to his underwear. The trainer described the actor's body this way: 'He looked like a ruler, straight up and down,' but he also detected in Baron Cohen 'an athlete in hiding.' The actor was not a slouch as for years he has been working with a kickboxing trainer when time permitted in his busy production schedules. Moretti took on the challenge, and Baron Cohen applied a method actor's discipline to the task, starting with 100 pushups per day. He was disciplined and consistent in the short but intense training sessions the trainer put him through, even while he was away filming. The results came quickly, enough that Baron Cohen's Mephisto costume had to be altered a time or two to reflect the improvements in his physique. Mephisto originated in the Silver Surfer comics, and factored into comic book storylines including Avengers villain Thanos, and Spider-Man. Feige said the character is a devil who presents Faustian bargains to hero characters, but the Marvel chief would not elaborate on how the character will fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is undergoing a reset with two new Avengers films. Baron Cohen made a surprising debut as Mephisto in the finale of the Disney+ series Ironheart. The actor described his own condition at the start of his workout regimen as 'having the core strength of an arthritic jellyfish.' But he said that the short but intense sessions have left him feeling in the best shape of his life. He believes it is something others can emulate, tailoring their workouts to their own physique goals and time limitations.
