
Crown Prince International Scholarship Program Begins Qualification Exams for 2026 Cohort
The qualification exams, conducted in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), are being held in batches. They evaluate applicants on their English language proficiency, mathematics skills, and cognitive abilities.
Shadha Ahmed Ali, Executive Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at CPISP, explained that the qualification process includes an English language exam and a series of three cognitive tests. These assess verbal, numerical, and analytical reasoning skills. She noted that arrangements have been made for applicants studying outside Bahrain to sit for their exams at their respective high schools under the supervision of a CPISP-authorized official.
Ali added that the next stage will involve selecting a minimum of 80 students as scholarship nominees. This selection will be based on their cumulative academic performance and qualification exam results. The list of nominated candidates is expected to be announced before the end of June.
Following nomination, students will participate in intensive summer training sessions, workshops, and educational lectures throughout the upcoming academic year. The final list of scholarship recipients will be announced in April 2026.
Ali also revealed that the program received 1,197 applications during the submission period. Eligibility criteria include being a Bahraini national in the 11th grade, expected to graduate from high school in 2026, and having achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 97% in the 10th grade and the first semester of the 11th grade.

Tamkeen Opens Registration to Enterprises for the 'AI Training Program'
The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) has announced that resgistration is now open for private sector enterprises interested in enrolling their employees under the 'AI Training Program'. This program is part of a broader initiative launched in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), which aims to train 50,000 Bahrainis in Artificial Intelligence by 2030. The program provides private sector enterprises with the opportunity to equip their employees with the necessary knowledge, understanding, and practical tools to effectively integrate Artificial Intelligence into their operations. The program includes three training tracks: AI Generalists track, AI Specialists track, and AI for Executives track. Registration is now open for the AI Generalists track which is designed for employees with foundational information technology (IT) literacy, and the AI for Executives track, designed for C-suite, executives or self-employed entrepreneurs. As for the AI Specialists track, registration will be announced at a later stage. Mr. Khalid Al Bayat, Chief Growth Officer at Tamkeen, reaffirmed Tamkeen's commitment to equipping national talent with the skills required to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market, in line with its mandate of making Bahrainis the first choice for employment. Crown Prince's Scholarship Program Begins Skill-Building Courses at BIBF
The Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP) has launched its training program for candidates of the 2026 scholarship cycle. The program includes a series of specialized courses and activities aimed at developing the skills of shortlisted students as part of the selection process for the annual scholarship awards. The training is taking place at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) headquarters. The program's Executive Director, Ms. Eva Jarabet, welcomed the shortlisted students and congratulated them on their academic excellence and for reaching this stage in the selection process. She highlighted the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to invest in the nation's youth by enhancing and refining their capabilities through various educational and professional training programs. The CPISP, in collaboration with BIBF, held an introductory session for the shortlisted students from both public and private schools to brief them on the details of the training courses that will take place over the summer and into the next academic year. Ms. Eva explained that the training program includes a variety of intensive courses and activities, such as a critical thinking course, an academic writing course, and a leadership development program. The leadership component will grant participants an internationally recognized certificate from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI Level 3 Certificate in Team Leading). The program will also include a personality assessment to help students explore suitable career paths. In addition, preparatory courses for the IELTS and SAT exams will be provided. She added that the training program aims to develop students' personal skills in leadership and communication, as well as academic skills in analysis, critical thinking, essay writing, and research. The selection of the final scholarship recipients will take place at the beginning of the new year, based on their cumulative GPA, IELTS and SAT scores, and performance in the critical thinking and leadership training courses.
