Travis Scott Reportedly Has Falling Out With WWE
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The partnership between WWE and rapper Travis Scott has reportedly come to an end. According to a new report, Scott was slated to be a playable character in the upcoming WWE 2K25 video game but was removed after a "full falling out" with the company. This news comes just months after Scott was involved in one of the most controversial moments in recent WrestleMania history. His removal from the video game appears to be the final chapter of his brief and tumultuous involvement with WWE. Removed From The Game In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Travis Scott was scheduled to be a surprise celebrity inclusion in the game's downloadable content (DLC). However, following the souring of his relationship with WWE, the decision was made to replace him. The report notes that the new character El Grande Americano and the recently returned Aleister Black took his spots in the DLC packs. Meltzer's report also stated that it is now "open season to knock him" within WWE. This aligns with recent comments made by Drew McIntyre on the Impaulsive podcast, where he bluntly called Scott a "piece of sh*t." The Controversial WrestleMania Moment Travis Scott's involvement with WWE began and ended with the main event of WrestleMania 41 in April. During the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena, Scott interfered on behalf of the heel, Cena. His interference directly led to Cena defeating Rhodes and winning his record-breaking 17th world title, a finish that was met with a massively negative reaction from the live crowd and fans online. Photo byIt was later reported that the WrestleMania angle was supposed to lead to an in-ring debut for Scott. However, subsequent reports claimed that Scott "wasn't a quick learner" during his training, which may have contributed to the relationship deteriorating. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match A History of Celebrities in 2K WWE has a long history of including celebrity guest stars as playable characters in their popular WWE 2K video game series. In recent years, crossover stars like Logan Paul and Bad Bunny, who have earned respect for their in-ring work, have been featured prominently. Other celebrities like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Fred Durst have also been included as DLC characters. Including a globally recognized music star like Travis Scott would have been a standard marketing move for the game. His removal is a significant and unusual step, indicating the severity of the "falling out" between the two parties. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
