TV tonight: Raquel Welch's son and showbiz friends tell her real story
9pm, Sky Documentaries Raquel Welch was a single mother with two small kids when she pulled up in Hollywood. She is best known as the biggest sex symbol of the era but this celebratory film whizzes through her life to tell her full story: from feeling pressure to hide her Latina roots to that famous fur-bikini poster, her complicated relationship with feminism, two Golden Globe wins and suing MGM for $10m for replacing her with a younger actor. Her son and showbiz friends share their memories. Hollie Richardson 6.20pm, BBC One Get ready to shout answers at the telly as Marvin and Rochelle Humes guide another three teams through the fun and fizzy pop quiz. Only the fastest duo will make it to the Chart Rundown round, where naming 10 bangers in quick succession could win them £10,000. Graeme Virtue 6.30pm, Channel 4 Will the Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen, and her family manage to turn their abandoned farmhouse into a 21st-century home? We're now into the second series of their attempt, with separated husband Clive being laid low by a hip operation and the process being extended by planning permission to make the house bigger just having been granted. Alexi Duggins 8pm, Channel 5 If you've ever been interested in the Princess Royal's equestrian career, well … here's a whole 90 minutes dedicated to telling you all about it. She once competed in the Olympics – the first royal to do so! – and is the president of the Riding for the Disabled Association. HR 9pm, ITV2 Having spent the summer narrating both the US and UK versions of Love Island, Iain Stirling is surely due a break of his own. It's not quite time for a Jet2 holiday yet, though – there's still one more week of contractually obligated fun in the sun, starting with this compilation. Hannah J Davies Midnight, ITV1 The cat-and-mouse thriller about a random group of strangers being framed for a violent kidnapping continues. There are potential answers in New York but can the amateur fugitives keep it together long enough to escape the UK? The fact that their plan requires reliable train wifi does not bode well. Graeme Virtue Rumours, 1.15pm, 10.15pm, Sky Cinema Premiere A few weeks ago, Prime Video gave us Heads of State. A rollicking, deliberately dumb action movie about the US president and the British prime minister, Heads of State looked as if it was going to be the weirdest political film of the year. Turns out it wasn't even the weirdest of the summer, because here is Rumours. With three writer-directors, including Guy Maddin, it's a film about a G7 summit that finds itself being terrorised by marauding bog-zombies and, odder still, a giant brain. The fact that Cate Blanchett plays the German chancellor and Charles Dance the US president makes it stranger still. Highly silly and very funny, it's not something you are likely to forget in a hurry. Stuart Heritage Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, 2pm, BBC One Last year's vaguely nightmarish Harold and the Purple Crayon is an example of the pitfalls of attempting to stretch a children's picture book to feature length. With that in mind, 2022's Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a miracle. Based on a slight 1965 kids' book, Will Speck and Josh Gordon's film is an unexpected delight. There is a crocodile, he can sing, and all hell breaks loose. Not only are the songs (by The Greatest Showman's Benj Pasek and Justin Paul) genuinely good, but Javier Bardem gives one of the performances of his life as Lyle's unreliable owner. SH Fallen Leaves, 9.45pm, BBC Four As is to be expected – nay required – from the master of dour, deadpan humour, in Aki Kaurismäki's latest romantic comedy his two lonely, Helsinki-based central characters struggle to express their feelings. The potential match of Ansa (Alma Pöysti) and Holappa (Jussi Vatanen) is further stymied by him losing her number, his struggles with alcoholism and their shared inability to hold on to a job. Not a laugh-a-minute plot description, admittedly, but being immersed in the director's peculiarly Finnish world makes you wish the pair the best of an imperfect life. Taylor Swift fans were sent into a frenzy on Thursday evening as they speculated the star might finally be engaged after Travis Kelce took to Instagram to share a rare photo dump of the couple's 'offseason adventures' together. Marking the first time the NFL star has featured the pop sensation on his social media, the pair appeared smitten in the series of pictures. However there was one snap in particular that caught fans eyes after they went wild over Travis' lock screen snap of the two of them. Taylor appeared to flaunt her ring finger in the grainy snap as fans speculated over whether Travis has popped the question. They penned: 'travis's lockscreen is she pointing at her hand like she is… engaged ??????'; 'Not to be that person but in his lock screen is she holding up her hand with a ring on her finger'; 'is it an engagement photo???' Others wrote: 'yes.. yes i did zoom into his lockscreen'; 'yes, I did blow up picture number 3 to see a picture of both of them on his iPhone!!!'; 'THE LOCK SCREEN !?' 'Is Taylor Swift engaged to Travis Kelce? Fans are swooning over Travis' lockscreen' 'everyone pointing out his lock screen is a photo of them but i also think hers is too like literally she deserves the world…' Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Taylor also had a snap of her and Travis as her screensaver as they notice a glimpse of the black and white jumper he wore during their trip to Lake Como together in May 2024. The pair have been together for two years and a source recently told that the couple are 'all in' and her parents are prepared to give their blessing. Meanwhile last month speculation reached a new high after a friend of the couple gave a clue the couple had secretly tied the knot. The couple were on the guest list to celebrate the marriage of Chicago Bears player Cole Kmet and Emily Jarosz. And Kmet's event planner, Ellie Nottoli, shared behind-the-scenes details from the wedding, including a photo of an invitation letter that was addressed to 'Taylor and Travis Kelce.' They penned: 'travis's lockscreen is she pointing at her hand like she is… engaged ??????' Eagle-eyed fans also spotted that Taylor also had a snap of her and Travis as her screensaver as they notice a glimpse of the black and white jumper he wore during their trip to Lake Como together in May 2024 Marking the first time the NFL star has featured the pop sensation on his social media, the pair appeared smitten in the series of pictures The letter, penned in elegant calligraphy, assigned them to 'Table 13' – a potential nod to Swift's lucky number. The Daily Mail reached out to Swift's representatives for comment at the time. The image ignited a frenzy among fans, fuelling speculation that the pair had already exchanged vows. 'TAYLOR AND TRAVIS KELCE?!????? EXCUSE ME,' one fan wrote. 'They got married ?' another one questioned. 'Would be a welcome surprise for them! If true, hope they always share happiness together ❤️'; 'I KNEW IT!!';'This feels like something we shouldn't be seeing.' However, other fans believed the name choice was simply for the 'aesthetic.' 'This is very common for couples (married and unmarried) for weddings. it's the aesthetic.' 'It's not that weird. it's solely for aesthetic purposes.'; 'Technically it should be Travis and Taylor Kelce'; 'That's usually standard for weddings i believe.'

Strictly star slams ‘manipulative' TV industry after quitting fame for OnlyFans – and reveals family member's jibe
Keep scrolling to see what the star had to say star swipe Strictly star slams 'manipulative' TV industry after quitting fame for OnlyFans – and reveals family member's jibe A FORMER Strictly star has branded the TV industry as 'manipulative' after quitting fame for OnlyFans. John Whaite rose to fame after winning The Great British Bake Off in 2012. 4 TV star John Whaite has competed in Strictly and Great British Bake Off Credit: PA 4 He danced with Johannes Radebe on Strictly Credit: PA 4 The star returned to OnlyFans earlier this year Credit: Instagram The 36-year-old later competed on Strictly Come Dancing, finishing as runner-up behind Rose Ayling-Ellis. Speaking to Gay Times Magazine, John opened up about his experiences in the TV industry. The baker and presenter said: "I think the deeper conversation here is about welfare generally within the TV industry. I think that is still very much an elusive beast. "As soon as Strictly finishes, it's like, get out the hotel, get out the flat, go home, but that is a life- altering event for the individual who's been subject to the headlines, often at the hand of these shows, because these shows sometimes feed stories to the media. "TV is manipulative and it's a distortion of truth, there's always an ulterior motive. "People aren't being fed the unadulterated, objective truth. And I certainly don't subscribe to that." Continuing, John recounted how he was "around 23" during his time on Bake Off. He recalled thinking his "existence hinged on being successful in television." John added: "But I think when you go through all these different permutations of your life, you start to realise that the b******t just does not matter. "What actually matters is your health, your sanity, your loved ones, your family, be it biological or chosen." Strictly and OnlyFans star John Whaite opens up on health struggle, saying 'it makes life almost unbearable' Elsewhere in the interview, John revealed a family member had called him "disgusting" due to his OnlyFans content. The Sun previously revealed how he made a return to the platform earlier this year. The star had been posting a series of very explicit videos and images for his legion of subscribers on the adult-only website. Sources close to the star – who was paired with Johannes Radebe on Strictly - said: 'John has been telling friends he feels really empowered by posting what he wants. 'He's in amazing shape and is proud of how far he has come. 'He's says it really has nothing to do with money and it's not about helping fund his bakery business. 'John doesn't care what anyone else thinks. "He's really happy with the content he is creating.'
