As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into all aspects of our lives, the FDA and OpenAI aim to accelerate drug development and evaluation in the United States (US) and globally. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to streamline the drug development process, making it faster and more efficient.
However, experts are raising concerns about the reliability and oversight of artificial intelligence (AI) models, particularly in high-stakes areas such as medicine.

OpenAI says ChatGPT is on track to reach 700M weekly users
Ammon News - ChatGPT's impressive growth as a consumer app continues as the chatbot is on track to hit 700 million weekly active users this week, the company says. The app had earlier reached 500 million weekly active users as of the end of March, noted Nick Turley, OpenAI VP and head of ChatGPT's app, in a post on X. He also said the app has grown 4x since last year. 'Every day, people and teams are learning, creating, and solving harder problems. Big week ahead. Grateful to the team for making ChatGPT more useful and delivering on our mission so everyone can benefit from AI,' he posted. The app's popularity increased after OpenAI launched an upgraded image-generation feature, powered by the GPT-4 model, in March. In early April, the company's COO, Brad Lightcap, said that more than 130 million users had created over 700 million images in just a few days after the launch. The company has also seen an increase in subscribers. Last week, Lightcap said that ChatGPT had 5 million paying business users, up from 3 million in June. In a recent report, market intelligence firm Sensor Tower noted that users are using ChatGPT for more than 12 days a month on average, only behind Google and X. The report also said that in H1 2025, users spent an average of 16 minutes per day on the app. TechCrunch

iPhone 17 Pro final design and features leaked
Published August 5th, 2025 - 05:57 GMT ALBAWABA - The design of Apple's next flagship device, the iPhone 17 Pro, has been reportedly leaked on social media, showcasing a rather different approach to the popular smartphone's previous versions. This comes a month before the series' launch in September. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Similar to previous renditions, the iPhone 17 will launch alongside three more phones with a variety of colors to choose from, including Dark Blue, Orange, Grey, Black, and White. Regarding leaked photos on X (formerly Twitter), Apple maintained the rectangular design with rounded edges but introduced a new element in the camera section. The Apple logo will be moved downward alongside a MagSafe cutout to accommodate a new camera island that slightly protrudes from the phone, with the addition of three sensors. — AppleTrack (@appltrack) August 5, 2025 Moreover, Apple is reportedly ditching the titanium-glass design found in the 16 and implementing a new, updated aluminum-glass chassis. For the camera, this is Apple's first attempt to surround it with aluminum, except for the lenses, which will be made out of glass. Out of the three censors featured in the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, the 48MP periscope telephoto sensor marks a significant bump in quality for Apple users who enjoy taking pictures. The newly implemented lens allows users to take photos of distant subjects as if they were closer, allowing them to zoom in while taking photos more than ever before. According to AppleTrack, Apple is also widening the top speaker to reportedly improve its audio quality. The screen will remain the same size for the iPhone 17 Pro and will feature an OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, leaks indicate that the phone might ship with a new anti-glare/scratch coating to protect the screen and for better vision in bright areas, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Which chip and how much RAM will the iPhone 17 Pro ship with? AppleTrack added that the iPhone 17 Pro might ship with a 5,000 mAh battery or larger, which might or might not be sufficient for a device of this caliber, depending on the user. Last but not least, the upcoming device will reportedly also feature Apple's upcoming A19 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM (double the amount of the 16 Pro and the most RAM ever integrated into an Apple device). © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (
