'Completely exhausted' Celtic transfer target tells club he's leaving as 25 goal star drops mic after promotion heroics

Youssef El Kachati has reportedly been scouted by Celtic and he's definitely on the move this summer
Youssef El Kachati has told Dutch minnows Telstar he's leaving as Celtic interest rises in the 25-goal star.
The Moroccan striker helped his club win promotion back to the Eredivisie for the first time since 1978 after he scored home and away against Willem II in a promotion play-off to take his tally for the season to 25 in 45 games, including five in the six play-offs games.

He's out of contract and has been linked with a move to the Hoops, Schalke and NEC Nijmegen, with Parkhead spies reportedly having watched him in recent matches.

He's primarily a striker but has played off both wings this season and offers a versatile attacking option that may appeal to Brendan Rodgers.
And the 25-year-old made it clear he will have plenty of offers.
He ended the season with an incredible run of nine goals in ten games and now he's eyeing a big move abroad.
He said: "I knew this would be my last match in the Telstar shirt, so I gave it my all and didn't want to get knocked out this time
"I'm completely exhausted. Even if they have to take me off the field on a stretcher, I just wanted to go to the Eredivisie with these guys so badly.
"NEC would really like to have me, that's true. That's one of the clubs I can go to, but there are more clubs in the running.

"I'm going to enjoy the celebration and then I'll slowly make a decision together with my agent. This is really deserved, we fought so hard for each other."

'I've not been fully fit since I was 14' - Carter Vickers ready to be Celtic warrior again as he details summer surgery

The key Hoops stopper was a late arrival to the pre-season party after going under the knife to sort out a knee issue It's been no pain, no gain for Cameron Carter-Vickers for as long as he can remember. ‌ But the Celtic warrior is ready to grin and bear it again this season as the Hoops set their sights on Five-in-a-Row. ‌ Carter-Vickers was a late arrival to the pre-season party after going under the knife to sort out a knee issue but returned in Thursday's 5-1 friendly defeat to Ajax and got another run-out against Saudi side Al-Ahli last night. ‌ The surgery has done the job and the centre back is determined to get back to work. The US star has had his injury struggles over the years but is used to playing through the pain barrier. In fact, he reckons he hasn't been free of any aches since he was a teenager but it won't hold him back. Humble hero Carter-Vickers said: 'It was nice to be back out there and get 45 minutes under my belt. 'The operation went well at the start of the summer so it's been about recovering from that and coming back strong, getting fit for the games. 'I feel good right now. The surgery I had in the summer kind of sorted out a few things for me. ‌ 'It was relatively straightforward. My right knee was just kind of cleaning up some kind of fragments that had come loose, just cleaning that out and then trying to get the knee to settle back down. 'It was sore. There was a bit of stiffness and pain every now and again. 'But it wasn't too bad. ‌ 'I'm going to have to learn to get on with it now and kind of play with it. 'It's pretty normal to pick little things up throughout the season but ideally, I'd love to feel 100 percent good and feel nothing when I play. 'But realistically, that's probably not going to be the case. ‌ 'It's not going to matter to me because I'm going to keep playing to the max. 'I always feel like I'm ready to play. 'There maybe be some times you feel fully 100 percent but everyone will tell you, you're kind of always going into games where there's just a bit of tiredness and you have got a little niggle. ‌ 'When was the last time I felt 100 percent? Probably not since I was 14! 'With the amount of games you play over a long season, you're bound to kind of pick up stuff and it's just about trying to manage that and the people at the club are helping you through it. 'But every time I go out on the pitch I feel good and I'm ready to play. ‌ 'I like to think of myself as someone who's fairly reliable, a kind of introverted kind of guy. 'But I'm always willing to kind of get out there and help the team in whatever way I can.' Carter-Vickers getting back up to speed is a major bonus for Celts and boss Brendan Rodgers is also determined to strengthen his squad. ‌ Fans are getting restless for new signings but the defender is a prime example of good things coming to those who wait. The former Tottenham ace landed at Celtic Park in the final minutes of deadline day and has never looked back. ‌ He said: 'I came in late in the window. A few hours before it happened I wouldn't have expected to come up here and be at Celtic. 'It just shows you, this is my fifth season now and I've really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to what's to come. 'As players, you focus kind of on the group that we have here and trying to build on what we have and trying to get our performances up to as good a level as we can. ‌ 'You've kind of got to trust the club and the manager that they're taking care of everything else and they'll do what they feel is necessary. 'But players coming in help build the competition within the squad and that can only push you forward as a team and help you come game day.' Carter-Vickers doesn't need any extra motivation but the prospect of the Champions League and a home World Cup in North America will get the juices flowing. ‌ But the immediate aim is to get off to a flier on Flag Day this coming weekend and he said: 'I think last year we really showed our development at that level and it's definitely somewhere we want to get back to and try to showcase what we can do again. 'The Champions League is exciting but we have a few games before the play-off and our focus will be on them. 'Every player wants to be a part of the World Cup, it's definitely exciting. 'All of the players know that it will be down to how we are performing for our clubs over the season if we want to end up playing in the World Cup. So that has to be the focus. 'My dad is from Louisiana, I've not checked yet if there are games near there yet but to be involved in a World Cup in America would be fantastic. 'It's always exciting at this time of year. We are a week away now from the first league game and that's what it's all about – getting going in competitive games and starting the season strong.'

Celtic fans spot superstar holding their shirt in Como but it's not quite what they wanted as transfer clock ticks down

Expectant Celtic fans finally got to see a big star holding up a Hoops jersey. It just wasn't quite what they wanted though. ‌ Becky Hill – who is a famous singer, apparently – was in Como on Friday night as the Italian club hosted a swanky gala as part of their tournament this week and got a pic with a shirt. ‌ The town has sunk serious money into the tourist industry in these parts, which seems like a bit of a waste of dosh given the place is absolutely rammed to the gunnels with holidaymakers. ‌ Either way, Becky was on board, but Hoops fans are hoping to see a few more pictures with actual players clutching a jersey rather than pop stars. The clock is ticking and the pressure is on. Punters have a couple of dates on their minds – this week's Premiership kick-off and transfer deadline day. But it's another date that is the really important one for Celtic. Parkhead chiefs need to have their squad lists submitted for the Champions League play-off round by midnight on August 14, with the first leg of the tie just a week later. There's scope to chuck two more in after that point but by that stage you would be looking at lobbing a new man right into the thick of a crucial qualifier. ‌ It's hardly ideal. Listen, Celtic know all this. There is a frustration at some of the roadblocks being hit, with clubs playing hardball and agents being sneaky so-and-sos. Deals get close then go cold, all parties hold out as long as they can for more dosh and the plates keep spinning while supporters lose patience. ‌ It's been a familiar tale for Celts in recent years but they are going to have to ramp things up – and it has to be soon. In previous windows, the club has managed to do some solid late business. Everyone goes on about how Ange Postecoglou brought in a raft of new recruits nice and early, but they forget some of his marquee arrivals didn't check in until after they'd been papped out of the Champions League by Midtjylland. Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers were deadline day signings, while last year they waiting until the end of the window to get Arne Engels, Auston Trusty and Luke McCowan. ‌ It all felt a bit rushed by that point and Brenda Rodgers admitted he didn't want a repeat. Unfortunately the January window was an even bigger faff with Kyogo exiting and no replacement tied down. To be still waiting for the Japanese striker's locker to be filled eight months later does seem a tad silly, regardless of how tough it is out there. ‌ But this August 14 date is going to be an interesting line in the sand – and it will show punters how serious the club is about getting to the Champions League group stages again. Celtic are not a club that likes to gamble. They certainly haven't build up an impressive financial structure but taking wild punts. Yet they are going to have to if they want to give themselves the best possible chance of mixing it with the big boys. ‌ That's where they constantly tell folk they belong. It's about actions rather than words though. The draw for this play-off will be made on Monday so Celtic will know what kind of challenge they face. ‌ There will be some dangerous sides lurking around in there and right now the Hoops squad is perilously fragile. It will help having Carter-Vickers and Alastair Johnston back on board but everyone can see where the problems lie. Rodgers will probably get a striker and at least one winger, possibly even two wide men. ‌ But that's not building or progressing, it's just getting back to where they were at the turn of the year. Celtic have stockpiled plenty of cash and they have an elite manager in the dugout – for this season at least. Not letting him loose with a bumper budget is like having a Ferrari but never taking it out the garage. Rodgers came back because he had unfinished business in the Champions League. And if he's not given the tools to get there then no one could blame him for driving off into the sunset next May.

England Euro 2025 star Lotte Wubben-Moy is dating Team GB Olympic hero

Lotte Wubben-Moy will be hoping Sarina Wiegman can lead the Lionesses to victory once again in the Women's Euro 2025 final, as the defender continues to be backed by her equally-competitive partner Lotte Wubben-Moy has an Olympic star backing her all the way as the Lionesses gear up for the Women's Euro 2025 final. Sarina Wiegman's side left it as late as possible on Tuesday evening, coming from behind against Italy to reach their third consecutive final under the Dutch boss. ‌ Barbara Bonansea scored what looked to be the winner in the first half, but the Lionesses hit back in the 96th minute through super sub Michelle Agyemang. A foul on Beth Mead by Emma Severini in the last minute of extra-time then handed England a penalty, and despite Chloe Kelly's effort being saved by Laura Giuliani, the Arsenal star tapped home the rebound to send the Lionesses into the final against Spain. ‌ Wubben-Moy was one of many who watched on anxiously from the bench. Despite having played zero minutes so far at this year's Euros, the English defender is ready for Wiegman's call-up at any time. ‌ The Arsenal centre-back already has a Champions League medal around her neck from this season, and a pretty exceptional number one fan in Team GB star Tao Geoghegan Hart. Mirror Football has all you need to know on the sporty couple, including Hart's horror crash and his Olympic escapades. Who is Lotte Wubben-Moy's boyfriend Tao Geoghegan Hart? Hart is a British cyclist who currently rides for Lidl-Trek, having previously competed for Team Sky and Ineos Grenadiers. The 30-year-old became the fifth - and youngest - Brit to win a grand tour at the Giro d'Italia in 2020. In the major race, Hart outsprinted the likes of Wilco Kelderman and Jai Hindley to win various stages and ended up securing the overall title with an impressive performance and a slim lead of just 39 seconds on the final day. Hart's most recent experience at the Giro d'Italia wasn't as impressive, however, as he was forced to abandon the race after coming off his bike in slippery conditions at stage 11. The Brit was involved in a horror crash 68km from the end, and was stretchered into an ambulance after hitting the ground. Posting on X after the incident, he said: "I'm devastated this is how my Giro ended. Thank you all for your messages and support. I was so excited about the remainder of this race and loving every minute of it. Arrivederci @giroditalia." ‌ The cyclist required surgery following a left hip fracture, as then-team Ineos released a statement on the crash. They said: "After further assessment, imaging confirmed that Tao had sustained a fracture of the left hip which will require surgery. "Tao, the thoughts and best wishes of all your fellow Grenadiers are with you tonight. We wish you a speedy recovery and know you have what it takes to come back even stronger!" Hart also competed at the Tokyo Olympics, representing Team GB in the men's road race and time trial alongside then-team-mate Geraint Thomas. He didn't finish the road race and came 29th in the time trial. ‌ How long have they been dating? Wubben-Moy and Hart have been in a relationship since 2021, after going public with their romance in March of that year. Since then, the couple have shared several posts of one another on social media, including the England defender wishing her boyfriend good luck for the Giro d'Italia in 2023. Writing on Instagram, the 26-year-old said: "A smile, a wink and off you go into the depths of Italy. From E5 to the 6602, issa @girdotalia time. Head smooth like a calzone, a pie isn't aero after all. go well amore xx." ‌ Wubben-Moy created a special memory for her boyfriend's family during a Euro 2025 qualifier last year, when she walked out hand-in-hand with Hart's younger sister Billie before a 1-1 draw with Sweden. Posting his heartfelt thanks to his beau on Instagram alongside a picture of the sweet moment, Hart said: "Thankyou @lottewubbenmoy for ensuring my beautiful sisters can never find limits to their dreams. ‌ "You are such an amazing role model to them and so many girls and young women all over the country. Hope you won't ever forget this experience Billie, walking to an adoring crowd at Wembley this evening. Incredible." Speaking to the Guardian after the match, Wubben-Moy said: "It's a very special feeling for both me and my family. I had my partner's little sister walking out with me so that was super special."
