PS Portal's Cloud Streaming beta gets automatic pauses and screen captures
Then there's the pause feature, which will stop the game if you open the PS Portal quick menu. Gameplay will also pause if you click the power button. Be warned, you will get disconnected from the cloud streaming session if more than 15 seconds go by without you unpausing it (clicking the power button again). Plus, you'll be paused if there's a system error message on your screen. However, these features don't work, as of yet, in multiplayer mode.
You're also going to have a clearer idea of when it's your turn to play. You will get an estimated wait time if the streamer server is full and then be put right into the game when you're up. Then there's the new create button, which takes a screenshot (when held down) or records a video of the game (when clicked twice). This media will stay in the PlayStation App library under captures for 14 days.
There's two more, minor, updates to Cloud Streaming. You'll now receive an inactivity notification after 10 minutes of no action, just letting you know that the session is about to end. Plus, there's a user feedback screen that will pop up at the end in case there's anything you want PlayStation to know.
Sony first announced the Cloud Streaming trial late last year and its available to all PlayStation Plus Premium members in beta. The experimental system lets you stream select games from PlayStation's servers, regardless of if you own a PS5.

The news comes at a time of horrendous developments at Xbox with mass layoffs and the cancellation of at least a half dozen games, some of them major like Perfect Dark and Rare's Everwild. I don't think this timing is to directly offset that news cycle in some sort of cynical way, but here we are. Future games like Marathon and Fairgames look to be full of issues even ahead of release. One issue with the Xbox release is that Helldivers 2 still does not have cross-progression across its now three versions, and existing say, PC players hoping to boot up the game on their Xbox now will find themselves having to start over. And if it hasn't gotten cross-progression now, it probably never will. It's a big moment for both PlayStation and Xbox. We'll see what it does to each's fortunes from here. Helldivers 2 is finally coming to another platform
Unless you've had your head under a rock looking for Terminids, you've probably heard about the phenomena that is Helldivers 2. Since its launch, the game has only been available on PlayStation 5 and PS5, but Xbox players will be able to join the for Super Earth starting on August 26. You can preorder now if you don't want to wait that long. In a statement to Xbox Wire, game director Mikael Eriksson said, 'We know gamers have been asking for this for some time and we are so excited to bring more Helldivers into our game. We have so much more in store for the future months and years – and the more players we have the more stories we can tell! The fight for Super Earth has only just begun.' Recommended Videos Developed by Arrowhead Studios, Helldivers 2 is a cooperative third-person shooter where a team of up to four players works together to complete missions, and those typically involve using every weapon at their disposal to clear out enemies and reach their objective.
