Scottie Scheffler enjoys pint of Guinness after Open win
The American proved why he is the best player in the world with a dominant four-shot victory on the Dunluce Links.
It was the second major championship of the 29-year-old's season and the fourth of his career.
And while there was something nearly robotic about his performance on the course, he let his hair down a bit after lifting the Claret Jug.
Pictures on social media show the world number one enjoying a pint of Guinness not long after he was crowned the Champion Golfer of the Year.
On the eve of the tournament, Scheffler admitted that his great success in the game has left him feeling unfulfilled.
'There's a lot of people that make it to what they thought was going to fulfil them in life, and you get there, you get to No 1 in the world, and they're like what's the point?' he said. 'I really do believe that, because what is the point? Why do I want to win this tournament so bad?
'That's something that I wrestle with on a daily basis. Showing up at the Masters every year, it's like, why do I want to win this golf tournament so badly?
"Why do I want to win the Open Championship so badly? I don't know. Because, if I win, it's going to be awesome for two minutes.
"Then we're going to get to the next week and it's: 'Hey, you won two majors this year; how important is it for you to win the FedExCup playoffs?' And we're back here again.'
He added: 'To get to live out your dreams is very special, but at the end of the day I'm not out here to inspire the next generation of golfer.
'I'm not out here to inspire someone to be the best player in the world, because what's the point? This is not a fulfilling life. It's fulfilling from the sense of accomplishment, but it's not fulfilling from a sense of the deepest places of your heart.'

Sarah Bolger to star in Irish-American crime series from the creator of Narcos
IRISH actress Sarah Bolger is to star in a new Irish-American crime series from Narcos creator Chris Brancato. The Westies is described as a gritty and kinetic crime drama that centres on New York City's infamously violent Irish gang of the same name. According to Variety, 34-year-old Bolger will star as IRA operative Bridget Walsh. She will link up with Oscar winner JK Simmons, who will lead the cast as crime boss Eamonn Sweeney. The new series from MGM+ is set in the early 1980s when the construction of the Jacob Javitz Convention Center on the Westies' home turf in Hell's Kitchen promises a financial windfall. "Despite being outnumbered fifty-to-one by the Five Families of the Italian Mafia, the Westies' legendary brutality and cunning have given them the leverage necessary to share the spoils through a fragile détente," reads the synopsis. "But internal conflict between the brash younger generation and the old-school leadership threatens to set a match to this powder keg, which will sweep the Westies into the FBI's ever-deepening investigation into the Italian mafia." 'Passion project' Bolger rose to fame after starring in Jim Sheridan's 2002 film, In America, and later played Mary Tudor in the BBC series, The Tudors. She also had a main role in the recent Sons of Anarchy spin-off, Mayans MC. Brancato, who will serve as executive producer and showrunner, said the series had been a 'passion project' of his for some time. "This is a story about ambition, loyalty, and power, set against the backdrop of 1980s New York," he added. "I'm grateful to be working again alongside my collaborators Michael Panes (co-creator) and most especially with Michael Wright (Head of MGM+) and the entire MGM+ team." The eight-episode series marks his third collaboration with MGM+ following the success of the critically-acclaimed Godfather of Harlem and the crime thriller Hotel Cocaine. He previously created the Netflix series Narcos and its spin-off Narcos: Mexico. The Westies went into production this month in Toronto, Canada and will premiere on MGM+. Two 'incredible' new professional dancers join Strictly Come Dancing cast
Two "incredible" new professional dancers will join the Strictly Come Dancing cast, the BBC has announced. American-born Alexis Warr and Australian-born Julian Caillon will join the hit dance competition series as it returns to BBC One and iPlayer this autumn. Warr, who is best known for winning the US dance series So You Think You Can Dance in 2022 and was crowned America's favourite dancer, became the first female ballroom and Latin dancer to claim the title. On joining Strictly Come Dancing, Warr said: "I've admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honour. Influencer goes viral for filling a glass handbag with Guinness
An American influencer has taken her love for Guinness to the next level — by turning a glass purse into a portable pint glass on the streets of Galway. Emma Topp (@emmatopp), a Boston-based content creator known for her travel videos, has gone viral after she carried a see-through handbag filled with Guinness around Galway's bustling Latin Quarter during a recent trip to Ireland.
