, the Ntorq 125, inspired by Marvel's Captain America. The model has been priced at Rs 98,117, ex-showroom, and joins the brand's Super Squad line-up, which already features designs inspired by Marvel superheroes like Iron Man, Thor, and Spider-Man.
As part of this edition, the scooter now gets a sharper camo-style graphic theme with bold red highlights. The livery on this special edition TVS NTorq draws cues from his iconic military and shield motifs. On the front apron, you'll spot a digital camo pattern in shades of green and black, resembling tactical gear and stealth aesthetics.
The same digital camo theme extends onto the side panels under the seat, giving the scooter a rugged look. A bold red stripe cuts across the camo both at the front and sides, reminiscent of the red detailing on Captain America's suit. Just above the camo panels, 'SuperSoldier' badging is displayed in a sharp font.

Bengaluru–Chennai expressway: Cars to pay Rs 185-190 one-way on Karnataka stretch
Bengaluru: Car and jeep users using the newly built Karnataka stretch of the Bengaluru–Chennai Expressway travelling from Hedigenabele (near Hoskote) to Sundarapalya (near KGF) will soon have to pay Rs 185 for a single journey and Rs 275 for a round trip. In the opposite direction — from Sundarapalya to Hedigenabele — the toll is slightly higher: Rs 190 for a single trip and Rs 280 for a round trip. This comes as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) finalised toll charges for the 71km section connecting Hoskote and KGF (Bethamangala), which has been unofficially open to traffic for over seven months. Tolls will be charged based on distance, with four plazas located at Hedigenabele, Agrahara, Krishnarajapura, and Sundarapalya. Monthly passes for cars cost Rs 6,105 (50 trips) in one direction and Rs 6,260 in the reverse. While the expressway's smooth surface and high-speed limits (up to 120 kmph) have appealed to regular commuters, the toll charges could dampen their enthusiasm. A senior NHAI official said toll collection will begin shortly after system integration and coordination with the district administration. Since the road opened unofficially, violations have raised red flags, particularly the unauthorised entry of two-wheelers, which are banned. Incidents of bikes sneaking through incomplete boundary walls have led to accidents, prompting the NHAI to seek permission to deploy home guards at toll plazas and vulnerable spots. "Two-wheeler riders have been entering through gaps in the fencing. This is a serious safety risk. We've asked for clearance to station home guards until the boundary wall is fully built," the official said. The expressway's use is expected to dip once toll collection begins, but officials are optimistic it will still offer value to commuters seeking faster access to eastern Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. To improve last-mile connectivity, NHAI has released funds to upgrade village and district roads, linking Sundarapalya to the Bengaluru–Kolar Expressway via Mulbagal. Meanwhile, motorists continue to urge the authorities to address traffic bottlenecks between KR Pura and Hoskote—an unresolved stretch that often negates the time saved on the high-speed expressway. "You zip through to KGF but get stuck for 40 minutes at KR Pura," said a regular commuter. "Fixing that needs to come first." —— For Graphic: How much you have to pay Vehicle type Hoskote to KGF KGF to Hoskote Single Return journey Single Return journey Cars/jeep 185 275 190 280 LCV/LGV/minibus 295 445 305 455 Truck/bus 620 930 635 955 Source: NHAI

Ludh duo build auto unit to turn waste into compost
Ludhiana: In an interesting achievement for the city youth innovation ecosystem, two Class XII students Abhishek Dhanda and Prabhkirat Singh have developed an innovative automated vermocompost unit for sustainable waste management. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Their innovation, Prithvi Rakshak, is a one-of-a-kind, student-led, fully automated vermicomposting unit that uses advanced technology to convert organic waste into high-quality compost, almost three times faster than conventional methods. The idea first germinated at an innovation event held at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), where the duo initially experimented with kitchen waste and local bio-waste. Inspired by the potential of vermicomposting but frustrated by its slow pace, they began reengineering the process. "We realised the key to speeding up the composting cycle was in creating optimal conditions for the earthworms, mainly temperature and humidity. That's where sensors, robotics, and AI came in," Abhishek said. Using AI-driven temperature and humidity sensors, along with a proprietary bioenzyme formula, the students at BCM Arya Model School, Shastri Nagar succeeded in reducing the traditional composting cycle from 60 to 90 days to just 38 days. Their robotic assistant, VermiDoot, collects and processes organic waste, while their companion mobile app, VermiVeda, helps monitor the system and manage operations remotely. The unit is also IoT-enabled, allowing real-time data tracking. They said that their startup has already processed over 12,000 kg of organic waste monthly, generating Rs 1 lakh in revenue and a single unit could scale to Rs 2.5-Rs 3 lakh per month. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now They said the unit also produces vermiwash as byproduct and vermisticks. "Since we are able to observe the parameters 24x7, and also control them to create the most conductive environment, not only is vermicompost create much faster but also of high quality which has optimal moisture, pH and other parameters, for improving soil fertility," said Prabhkirat. Their efforts have earned widespread recognition both nationally and internationally. The students represented India at the IEEE Junior Scientist International Competition in Tunisia, where their work was showcased at Science City. They were also finalists in the Net Zero Carbon Emission Challenge, EcoHackathon Delhi, and Eureka Junior, and ranked among the top 10 in the MESA Business School Pitch Competition. On the home front, they have been lauded in events such as TechNiche at IIT Guwahati winning Rs 45,000 prize, and cash prizes at WRO Nationals and Eco-Innovators Ideathon as well, they said. Their innovation was also among the top 35 out of 1.9 lakh entries in the Eco-Hackathon Showcase, an event co-organised by Amazon and the ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC), they said.
