SpiceJet
on Wednesday confirmed that a cosmetic window frame on one of its
Bombardier Q400
aircraft became loose during a flight and was found dislodged, but assured that the incident posed no safety risk to passengers or the structural integrity of the aircraft.
'A cosmetic window frame on one of SpiceJet's Q400 aircraft became loose during flight and was found dislodged. It is important to note that this was a non-structural trim component, fitted onto the window for the purpose of shade, and did not compromise the safety or integrity of the aircraft in any way, a SpiceJet spokesperson said in a statement.
The airline added that
cabin pressurisation
remained normal throughout the flight and there was no impact on passenger safety.

'The Q400 aircraft is equipped with multiple layers of window panes, including a robust, pressure-bearing outer pane, ensuring that passenger safety is never at risk, even in the unlikely event of a superficial or cosmetic component coming loose,' the spokesperson added.
The frame was repaired at the next scheduled stop, in line with standard maintenance procedures, the airline noted.
Live Events
The clarification comes amid heightened scrutiny of in-flight safety following the Air India crash in Ahmedabad that resulted in the deaths of nearly 300 people onboard and on-ground.

Brad Pitt spills why ‘Ford vs Ferrari' with Tom Cruise didn't come through: ‘We both wanted to drive'

Brad Pitt is currently basking in the success of his recently released film 'F1', which has topped the charts at the international box office. While the rumours of the 'F1' sequel are still rife on the internet, with a possible crossover of Tom Cruise , the actor Pitt revealed why the 'Ford vs Ferrari' didn't happen with him and Cruise in the lead roles, as reported by Variety. In an earlier interview, 'F1' director Joseph Kosinski revealed that he initially pitched the idea of Ford vs Ferrari with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in the lead roles. However, it didn't see the light of another day due to budget issues with the makers. James Mangold ended up directing "Ford v Ferrari" with Christian Bale and Matt Damon instead. In a recent interview with The National, as quoted by Variety, Pitt revealed that there was another reason why 'Ford vs Ferrari' didn't feature him and Cruise in lead roles. "Tom and I, for a while there, were on 'Ford v Ferrari' with Joe [to direct]. This was about 10 years before the guys who actually made it - and made it a great movie," Pitt said as quoted by Variety. He added, "What it came down to is that we both wanted to drive, and [Tom] wanted to play Shelby, and I wanted to play Ken Miles. And when Tom realised that Carroll Shelby would not be driving much in the movie, it didn't come through. So I'm not sure how that's going to work [in a potential 'F1' sequel], but we'll give it a go. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo I'd love to," as quoted by Variety. According to the outlet, Pitt is currently considering an 'F1' sequel, as Apple is reportedly in talks about a potential follow-up to the racing movie, which grossed 144 million USD worldwide upon its release. "I would want to drive again, selfishly speaking. F1 is still the focus. It needs to be on Joshua Pierce - Damson Idris 's character - and the rest of the team fighting for a championship. Where does Sonny fit in? I'm not sure. Sonny's probably out on the Bonneville Salt Flats, setting speed records or something like that. So I'm not sure beyond that, just yet," said Pitt as quoted by Variety. 'F1' is directed by John Kosinski, who is famous for the direction of 'Top Gun: Maverick'. The racing drama also stars Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and Kate McKenna in the lead roles. It was released in theatres on June 27, 2025.

The company currently commands a market capitalisation of approximately Rs 1,05,300 crore. On July 3, Bosch filed a regulatory disclosure under SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (Regulation 30), informing the exchanges of a significant customs-related order it received on July 2, 2025, from the Principal Commissioner of Customs (Import), Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Learn The Most Successful Intraday Strategy in Just 2 Hr. thefutureuniversity Learn More Undo The order involves a dispute concerning the wrongful availing of duty benefits under Notification No. 50/2017-Cus, related to the import of automotive components including Rot Speed Sensors, Knock Sensors, and Phase Sensors. In addition to the duty benefit issue, the order highlights the incorrect classification of key parts: The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is to be reclassified under CTH 8708 99 00. The Oxygen NOx Sensor is to be reclassified under CTH 9031 80 00. The financial impact of this customs order is significant, with Bosch facing a differential duty demand of Rs 66.72 crore, along with a penalty of Rs 29.58 crore, totaling approximately Rs 96 crore. Live Events Despite the potential liability, the stock advanced on strong investor interest, reflecting confidence in Bosch's ability to manage the regulatory challenge. Technical overview The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) for Bosch Ltd. stands at 74.7, above the typical overbought threshold of 70, suggesting that the stock may be overextended in the short term and could be due for a correction or pullback. Ferrari seized in Bengaluru over unpaid road tax; owner pays Rs 1.41 crore after RTO crackdown

A dazzling red Ferrari SF90 Stradale , one of the most coveted supercars on Bengaluru's streets, was recently seized by transport authorities for unpaid road tax. The luxury vehicle, originally registered in Maharashtra, had been turning heads across the city but failed to comply with Karnataka's strict road tax regulations. This high-profile incident not only spotlights the growing presence of exotic cars in Bengaluru but also underscores the city's crackdown on tax evasion among luxury vehicle owners. The case serves as a reminder of the legal and financial consequences of neglecting local vehicle registration and tax requirements. Ferrari owner pays Rs 1.41 crore after seizure amid Karnataka Road tax crackdown The Ferrari was registered in Maharashtra, a state where road taxes for luxury vehicles are considerably lower than in Karnataka. Despite being a regular presence in Bengaluru, the car's owner had not re-registered the vehicle locally or paid the required Karnataka Road tax. Faced with the seizure and official notice, the owner promptly paid over Rs 1.41 crore to cover the pending road tax and penalties. This payment is among the highest for a single-vehicle tax recovery in recent years, highlighting the significant financial risks of non-compliance. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo This incident is part of a larger enforcement drive initiated by the transport department. Authorities have been actively monitoring and seizing luxury vehicles that use out-of-state registrations to avoid paying Karnataka's higher road taxes. These efforts are particularly focused on gatherings where such vehicles are likely to be present. How was Ferrari tracked and seized in Maharashtra Transport department officials had been monitoring high-end vehicles with out-of-state registrations, especially during weekend gatherings of luxury car owners. Acting on a tip-off, they located the Ferrari and verified its registration and tax status. Upon confirmation that the Karnataka Road tax had not been paid, the authorities seized the car. A formal notice was issued to the owner, instructing them to pay the outstanding tax and penalties by a specified deadline, with a warning of further legal action if they failed to comply. Karnataka road tax laws mandate re-registration for vehicles used over a year Earlier in the year, several other luxury vehicles were seized for similar violations. The authorities' proactive approach has led to the identification and penalization of multiple tax evaders, serving as a warning to other vehicle owners. Any vehicle that is used regularly in Karnataka for more than a year must be re-registered locally. The owner must pay the applicable road tax, which is calculated based on the vehicle's cost, engine capacity, and age. Failure to comply with these rules can lead to vehicle seizure, hefty fines, and potential legal action. The authorities have made it clear that attempts to evade local taxes by maintaining out-of-state registrations will not be tolerated. According to Karnataka's Motor Vehicle laws, any vehicle that is used regularly in the state must be re-registered and the applicable road tax must be paid. This rule applies regardless of where the vehicle was originally registered. The intent is to ensure that vehicles using local infrastructure contribute fairly to its upkeep. Regular use requires local registration: Using a vehicle registered in another state for more than a year in Karnataka requires re-registration and payment of local road tax. Financial risks of non-compliance: Avoiding local tax can lead to significant penalties and seizure of the vehicle. Active enforcement: Authorities are vigilant, especially with luxury and high-value vehicles, and are conducting regular checks to ensure compliance.
