Ex-pro wrestling star Buff Bagwell has right leg amputated: ‘This is hard'
Bagwell, whose real name is Marcus Bagwell, due to complications from injuries he suffered in a car crash in 2020, Stasiak wrote on Facebook.
Stasiak said the injuries never fully healed.
'I've known Buff a long time. I've seen him in the spotlight, I've seen him behind the scenes, and I've seen him fight through things most people never even hear about. This one… this is hard,' Stasiak's post read. 'For him. For everyone who knows and loves him.
'The injuries from his 2020 accident never fully healed. He gave it everything he had to avoid this outcome—but that fight led him here. And now begins a whole new kind of battle.
'Buff was one of the brightest stars of a wild era in wrestling. He made you look. He made you care. But it's who he is as a person—past the lights, past the persona—that I hope people think about today.'
The pro wrestling world offered their thoughts and prayers for Bagwell on social media as word reached X that he had had the surgery.

Bagwell, 55, competed in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from 1991 to 2001 and then briefly in WWE after WWE bought its rival North American promotion.
He also competed for Total Nonstop Action wrestling and others.
He was a five-time WCW tag-team champion and was ranked No. 66 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Top 500 wrestlers of 1999.

Ryback Defends CM Punk After He Apologized And Competed In Saudi Arabia
Ryback coming to CM Punk's defense in 2025 probably wasn't on many wrestling fans' bingo cards this year. WWE Superstar CM Punk has come under fire from critics and fans following his appearance in Saudi Arabia this week, where he apologized for a six-year-old tweet and competed against John Cena in the main event of Night of Champions. Surprisingly, one of Punk's biggest detractors of the last decade, former WWE Superstar Ryback, has come to his defense today on social media in response to an opinion piece, tweeting out: 'I've had my issues with Punk, but I don't see him as a sellout. He returned to do what he loves and to make money — much like you're doing by writing critical think pieces about others for clicks. WWE is a global business, and working at that level means navigating complex deals, personal beliefs, and public perception. His apology wasn't about abandoning values — it was about how he expressed them publicly in ways that hurt professional relationships,' Ryback said in a post. Seth Rollins Injures Knee At WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
A Seth Rollins knee injury led to an impromptu finish on Saturday night. Rollins competed against LA Knight at tonight's edition of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event in Atlanta. The match went on for a few minutes before Rollins hit a springboard senton and set up a moonsault from the middle rope on the opposite side of the ring. Knight rolled out of the way to avoid it, and Rollins landed awkwardly on his knee. He rolled to the ropes as commentary mentioned that he must have tweaked his knee. Rollins then dragged himself to the corner as the referee tried to check on him. Knight went to attack Rollins, but backed away as the referee called him off. Rollins conferenced with Paul Heyman and the referee, then the doctor came out to the ring. The doctor and Rollins spoke briefly, then Rollins pulled himself up and the match was restarted. Rollins hobbled his way over as Knight rushed him and hit the BFT. Knight immediately made the cover and raised his arms. However, he looked visibly upset about the injury and impromptu finish and could be seen yelling 'f*ck' before leaving the ring. WWE says Seth Rollins' knee is more serious than they originally thought Michael Cole addressed the injury after the match and showed a replay of the moment it happened. Cole said it seems 'much more serious than we first thought.' The Takedown on SI's Rick Ucchino also shared non-televised footage of Rollins being helped backstage: Seth Rollins is the current Men's Money In The Bank briefcase holder. He is the leader of a stable featuring Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman, and recently began a feud with LA Knight on WWE RAW. This was their first-ever singles match against each other. They previously competed against each other in the 2025 Money In The Bank match and the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble match.
