Beauty influencer ‘disfigured' in horror bleach attack

WARNING: Disturbing content A French beauty influencer was allegedly raped and sprayed with bleach after three armed men broke into her home and brutally attacked her. Soraya Riffy, 30, was at her Marseille home on July 4 when a man allegedly tricked his way inside by posing as a neighbour who 'did not have his keys'. He was joined another two men who then 'tied her up, beat her up and sprayed her with bleach', she told Le Parisien. 'I'm disfigured, disgusted and frightened. Too much media exposure leads to danger,' Ms Riffy, who has more than one million followers on social media, said. The influencer has now vowed to 'leave Marseille for good' and 'step away from social media'. According to a statement by her lawyer Tom Michel that was posted to Ms Riffy's Instagram, she was 'raped, assaulted and molested'. Mr Michel wrote she was psychologically 'destroyed' and 'suffers from a concussion' and has a 'completely' broken nose. The statement alleges the kidnapper put a gun to Ms Riffy's head to force her to cooperate. Ms Riffy has reported several items were stolen during the attack, including a Cartier bracelet, her house and car keys, two luxury bags and a Rolex watch. Mr Michel said Ms Riffy received threats from the alleged attackers two weeks prior. She had reportedly alerted authorities several times to the threats against her. Ms Riffy's fans have expressed their support. 'Wishing you a speedy recovery and sending you one million hearts of support. Courage to you', one follower wrote. 'Soraya and her family would like to thank you from the bottom of their hearts for all your messages of support. We are with her to support her,' Mr Michel's statement reads. Pierre Mathonier, the mayor of Aurillac, told French broadcaster BFM TV yesterday that their condition has improved. One of them was a 78-year-old person who had to be resuscitated after cardiorespiratory arrest and is now in stable condition, he said. The two others "are in good health," he added. According to the mayor, the incident may have been related to Asian hornets threatening a beehive that had been installed on the roof terrace of a downtown hotel more than a decade ago. He said that this had likely caused the bees to become aggressive. Mathonier said that the beekeeper has removed the beehive and relocated it outside of the town. Lieutenant Colonel Michel Cayla, in charge of the local fire services, said that he had never experienced such an attack. He said the victim who was in cardiorespiratory arrest had to be resuscitated in the fire department's ambulance. "In terms of the number of victims, the panic among the people and the severity of some of the injuries, it was impressive," he told broadcaster TF1.
