Luxury Scottish retreat offers unforgettable experience 'rich in taste and storytelling'
A luxury whisky retreat in the heart of Speyside is set to serve up another round of exotic Scottish hospitality this August, as Linn House reopens its doors for the third chapter of its acclaimed food and whisky experience, The Linn House Supper Series.
This year's edition marks an exciting collaboration with celebrated South African chef Nokx Majozi, Head Pie Maker at the Holborn Dining Room and its renowned Pie Room at Rosewood London.
Running from Wednesday, August 13, to Sunday, August, 17 2025, the event celebrates 'The Glorious Twelfth', a date that traditionally signals the start of the grouse shooting season and the wider game season across Scotland.
The five-day culinary experience, titled The Glorious Twelfth with Nokx Majozi, will showcase a five-course seasonal menu crafted by Majozi, paying tribute to the region's rich game heritage while reimagining the traditional British pie.
Each dish will be paired with a curated selection of Chivas Brothers' most iconic Scotch whiskies and bespoke cocktails, offering guests an elegant exploration of local flavour and culture.
The Supper Series will be hosted at Linn House, the beautifully restored Victorian manor perched on the banks of the River Isla.
As the exclusive guest house of Chivas Brothers, the makers of globally renowned brands like Chivas Regal and Royal Salute, the venue promises a unique blend of fine dining and Speyside tradition.
Live Scottish entertainment will accompany the dining experience, adding a festive flair to the occasion.
Jacques-Henri Brive, Head of Luxury at Chivas Brothers, said: 'Nokx Majozi's fearless creativity and deep respect for traditional flavours make her the perfect collaborator for this summer's Supper Series.
"Her interpretation of the British classic pie, elevated by locally sourced game and our expertly crafted whiskies, promises a dining experience that's rich in both taste and storytelling.'
Reflecting on her personal connection to whisky, Majozi said: 'Whisky has always had a special place in my heart, especially Chivas Regal, which reminds me of my father's love for it back home in South Africa.
"I'm honoured to bring my own culinary heritage to this unique setting and to reimagine game pies as a way of celebrating Scottish tradition with a hint of modern flair. I can't wait to welcome guests to what I know will be a truly special occasion.'

Savvy travellers save up to 30% on 'game-changing' Antler accessory perfect for overpackers
"I can't tell you how much these have revolutionised my packing" The iconic British luggage brand Antler is helping travellers pack more for less with the addition of one simple packing accessory. Better still, overpackers can shoehorn even more in thanks to the Antler sale, which offers up to 50% off selected travel must-haves. The Antler Packing Cubes have been designed to help travellers utilise every available inch of space, making them perfect for passengers flying with Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2. These clever cubes have compression capabilities, meaning you can get more in your case for the ultimate space-saving hack. Deals start with a Two-Piece Packing Cube Set reduced from £30 to £24, offering a small and medium packing cube in a choice of colours. Spacious enough to keep essentials organised on the go, this low cost set would work well with under-seat-size luggage. For travellers who want to pack that little bit more, the Four-Piece Packing Cube Set starts from £35, reduced from £50. A true travel saviour, each set comprises one large cube measuring 24.5 x 33 x 10cm, one medium cube measuring 33 x 17.5 x 10cm and two small cubes measuring 17.5 x 16.5 x 10cm. The largest Six-Piece Packing Cube Set has also seen prices slashed in selected colours - was £75, now £60. With the addition of one X-large cube measuring 43 x 33 x 12cm and an additional medium cube, this set is spacious enough to tackle family holidays or longer adventures. Travellers can also use the compression cubes with almost any suitcase, backpack or cabin bag. The cubes come with double compression zippers that help to squish the bags down to make them lie flat. Made with a mesh panel on the top, it's easy to see what's in each cube without having to unzip them. According to Antler, these ingenious cubes are "the perfect way to organise your suitcase. Use them to separate your tops from your socks, and there's no need to unpack - simply lift them straight out of your suitcase on arrival." Should the Antler cubes not fit the bill, there are plenty more to choose from. Over at Nere, a 5 Pack Packing Cube Set is now reduced to £23. The pack comes in a selection of colours and sizes and buyers have called them "great quality." Amazon shoppers can also save on a three-pack of Gomatic Packing Cubes, that feature a zippered compression system to condense clothing. Available for £75.99 they are effective, but also more expensive than the Antler version. For buyers on a budget, Argos is selling a Home Packing Cubes Set Of 4 for just £12. Practical enough to help keep clothes organised on the go, shoppers have given them a 4.5 out of five-star rating. Holidaymakers seem to be impressed with the Antler Packing Cubes, giving the best-selling Four-Piece Set an impressive 4.9 out of five-star rating across 960 reviews on the website. One buyer said, " Game changer. These packing cubes are spacious and so useful. The compression zips make these stand out from cheaper versions, fitting more into each cube. I love these and now have two sets." Another added: " Lifesaver! Packing for a two-month trip with various climates—these cubes have been a lifesaver! They've allowed me to keep my luggage to a minimum and made space in the suitcases for souvenirs." A third buyer was equally as delighted, adding: "Really pleased with the packing cases, plenty of room with a top you can see what you've packed. As usual with Antler, they are great quality. Highly recommend them." While nearly all reviews have praised the upscale travel accessories, one buyer noted that they were a "good quality product" but "a lot smaller than expected." Overall, buyers seem to have found the best way to maximise their packing power. Another five-star review summed it up, saying: "I can't tell you how these have revolutionised my packing. Getting to the other end and being able to find anything and everything without having to unpack the whole case is a game-changer. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone who is looking for ease of packing and finding another 50% capacity in what they can pack."

Leah Williamson channelling memories of 2022 for Sweden
That year saw the Lionesses lift the Euros trophy for the first time after a dramatic 2-1 win over Germany at Wembley, with Williamson the first England captain to lead the national side to a trophy since Bobby Moore did for the men's team in 1966. Group C winners Sweden are the first of potentially three games that stand between this year's Lionesses and another title to bring back home and Williamson revealed the fire within still burns bright. Sweden were England's semi-final opponents back in 2022, with a stunning 4-0 win booking their place in the showpiece. 'We're all in the same boat and that's what drives me on,' said Williamson. 'To do it alongside the team in 2022 was special. I was part of that squad and I'm forever proud to be part of it but we don't want it to be the only one. 'We want it to be more, you always want to do more. On that day I felt as happy as I've ever felt and that would've been enough for me. 'But the next day it creeps around and everyone wants more.' A changing of the guard has since taken place between those halcyon days at Wembley, with Mary Earps, Fran Kirby and Rachel Daly retiring from international duty, Ellen White and Jill Scott exiting the professional game altogether. Millie Bright has also withdrawn from this summer's tournament to prioritise her physical and mental recovery. While they may no longer be part of the changing room, their presence is keenly felt within the corridors of England's base in Zurich's Dolder Grand Hotel, not least thanks to a WhatsApp group. 'It's mostly just good luck and well done or we believe in you',' answered Williamson when asked what conversations are like in the chat. 'When players have been part of a set-up, especially ones who aren't necessarily here and those players are still in the group chat and for whatever reason, for them to reinforce their belief in the team and wanting to be part of it speaks volumes of the group. 'The group chat was originally created for the celebrations so every time it pops up it isn't a bad thing. 'Most group chats we all archive or mute at different points but not that one. 'We're very tame. I wish we had more banter but that's not going to come from me!'
