Report: Kings sign 42nd pick Maxime Raynaud to 3-year, $5.95M rookie contract
Raynaud was an All-ACC first team selection last season, averaging 20.2 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks on 34.7% shooting from 3-point range as a senior. He ranked 11th in the country in points (707) and sixth in rebounds (371).
The 7-foot Frenchman reportedly signed a three-year, $5.95 million contract, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The first two years are guaranteed on the contract, which includes a team option for the third season.
Raynaud was the only player in the country to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. He is the first Power 4 conference player to average those numbers, while connecting on at least 50 3-pointers in a season since Kevin Durant in 2006-07.
The 22-year-old established himself as one of the top international players in the draft this year because of his blend of size, athleticism, skill and versatility. He flourished in the paint with his footwork and ability to finish with either hand, while also spreading the floor at a high rate.
Raynaud is expected to suit up with the Kings for at least five games in the NBA Summer League, beginning on July 10 against the Orlando Magic (7:30 p.m. EDT, NBA TV).

Celtics trade Georges Niang to Utah Jazz, agree to deal with Chris Boucher
BOSTON (AP) — The Celtics are trading recently acquired forward Georges Niang and two future second-round draft picks to the Utah Jazz in exchange for rookie RJ Luis Jr., ESPN reported on Tuesday. In a separate deal, power forward Chris Boucher has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Celtics, his agent Sam Permut confirmed to The Associated Press. Boucher has spent the past seven seasons with Toronto, where he was part of its 2019 championship team. Niang is headed to Utah just a month after being dealt to Boston as part of a three-team deal that sent Kristaps Porzingis to Atlanta. Niang previously spent four seasons with Utah. He appeared in 79 games split between Atlanta and Cleveland last season when he averaged a career-high 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. Shedding the final year of Niang's salary for next season will save Boston $8 million in luxury taxes, and allow it to stay under the second penalty apron following Boucher's addition. ___ AP NBA: Kyle Hightower, The Associated Press

Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe goes behind-the-scenes on Sound Bath recovery
Brooklyn Nets center Day'Ron Sharpe has had a relatively quiet offseason after entering the 2025 NBA summer as a free-agent before re-signing with the franchise that drafted him. Per HoopsHype's Michael Scotto, Brooklyn re-signed Sharpe to a two-year, $12 million contract after the North Carolina Tar Heel had the best season of his career. Sharpe took his fans behind the scenes to explain how he keeps going. "I swear I feel it already. I I felt it already. Yeah. I can feel it. I can feel it all here. My shoulders, my head," Sharpe said during a blog in which he tried Sound Bath recovery for the first time. Per Kathy Wolff of Resolve Wellness, Sound Bath meditation "involves immersing yourself in sound vibrations to promote relaxation and well-being." "I don't know. I don't know how to explain it," Sharpe said following the session of the Sound Bath recovery. "When you was doing it, my legs start going, then my arms and then, in my face and then it's just like my whole body is just like in the grass, and it just feel I'm sinking into the ground and I'm part of the soil." Sharpe, 23, is coming off his best season in the NBA ever since Brooklyn took him with the 29th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and is also enjoying a significant payday compared to his career earnings to this point. Sharpe averaged 7.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 52.1% from the field and 75.7% from the free-throw line in 50 games played. While most expected Sharpe to command around $10 million per season after the kind of campaign he had as the backup center to starter Nic Claxton, Sharpe returned to the only team he has ever known as an NBA player, possibly on a discount. Sharpe is likely hoping that he can help turn around a team that finished the 2024-25 season with a lowly 26-56 record and his new recovery method could make that goal easier to achieve.
