Campaign Saudi Briefing 2025: Strategy and Technology
Join us for an insightful event focused on the changing landscape of Saudi Arabia's brand and marketing industry. With the nation's burgeoning cultural and entertainment scene attracting significant investment, businesses are increasingly focusing on experiential marketing to craft memorable campaigns that resonate deeply with audiences.
These strategies signify a pivotal shift from traditional marketing approaches to those that prioritise dynamic, digital engagement and influencer partnerships, reshaping media buying and consumer interaction. The anticipated FIFA World Cup 2035 and the Esports Olympics also positions Saudi Arabia as a forthcoming titan in sports marketing, and esports and gaming realm, presenting unique opportunities and challenges for brands aiming to engage local and global audiences.
As Saudi Arabia's economy thrives and disposable incomes increase, the demand that PIF-led gigaprojects, including The Red Sea Project, Diriyah, NEOM, and ROSHN, have witnessed is considerable. This boom necessitates innovative marketing strategies for B2B markets and opens avenues for technology-driven advancements in CRM and data analytics.
Furthermore, the proliferation of internet and social media usage in Saudi Arabia underscores the critical role of digital marketing services tailored to local cultural nuances. As nearly the entire population accesses the internet and engages with social platforms, there is an increasing demand for Arabic-language content, performance evaluation through data analytics, and hyper-personalised consumer experiences.
Marketers who have the tools to exploit digital transformations effectively, must also focus on personalisation aligned with ethical data practices and Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law. Discussions would address the balance between technological innovation and cultural sensitivity, a necessary equilibrium for successful campaign development in the Kingdom's rapidly evolving digital landscape.

EPEX expands its strategic partnership with ICCA Middle East Chapter
Experiential Planner Expo (EPEX), the region's leading B2B platform for the MICE, weddings, and luxury events industry announced the continuation and expansion of its strategic partnership with the International Congress and Convention Association – Middle East Chapter (ICCA ME). This renewed alliance marks a significant evolution in EPEX's engagement strategy by introducing qualified association representatives into its Hosted Buyer Programme for the first time. In 2025, EPEX and ICCA ME are jointly bringing a select group of international association leaders to participate in the show. These association representatives (majorly from Medical associations) have expressed genuine interest in hosting future congresses and events in the Middle East. Their presence will provide EPEX exhibitors and destination partners with a rare opportunity to understand the deeper requirements of international congresses and the decision-making dynamics behind destination selection. The partnership will also feature an ICCA-led Leadership Session during EPEX 2025, where these invited association leaders will engage in a panel discussion titled 'More Than Meetings: How Association Congresses Drive Impact, Legacy, and Destination Strategy'. Moderated by Anju Gomes, Senior Regional Director, ICCA ME, this session will uncover the real priorities of associations—from aligning with national development goals to achieving long-term impact in knowledge and community exchange. Attendees will gain valuable insights into how destinations, venues, and local stakeholders can position themselves not just as hosts, but as long-term partners in delivering transformational outcomes. 'This expanded partnership with ICCA ME brings a crucial new dimension to EPEX,' said Karishma Hundalani, Head of Brand and Content at POW WOW Marketing, organizers of EPEX. 'As the region grows its credentials as a global hub for international meetings and congresses, it's important that we also enable real conversations around legacy, collaboration, and value co-creation. We're excited to welcome association leaders to EPEX and look forward to building on this momentum year-round.'

Saudi Arabia's rating upward revision depends on non-oil sector's performance: S&P
S&P Global Ratings could upgrade its ratings on Saudi Arabia if robust non-oil activity increases GDP per capita and leads to greater inflows of private and foreign capital. In March, the ratings agency raised the Kingdom's rating to 'A+/Stable/A1' from 'A/Stable/A1'. The Kingdom's economy is expected to grow at 3.5% over 2025-2028, with fiscal deficits anticipated to average 4.4% of GDP over the same period, mainly due to Vision 2030 investments. Initiatives rolled out under Vision 2030 are expected to strengthen non-oil growth over the medium term, underpinned by increased construction activities and a growing services sector that benefits from rising consumer demand and an expanding workforce. Tourism has emerged as a major growth driver, contributing 6% to GDP and 14% to current account receipts in 2024, up from 5% in 2022. This upward trend is supported by improved visa policies and more leisure options. However, fiscal risks from rising debt issuances by the government and Public Investment Fund (PIF) are mitigated by the revised timelines of some large infrastructure projects. The government is expected to retain a net asset position close to 30% of GDP through 2028, the report said. Although interest costs will stay low, S&P anticipated they could exceed 5% for the first time. Still, the government will maintain a comfortable net asset position through 2028. Despite oil and gas being excluded from direct US tariffs, global demand may see a potentially sharper-than-expected slowdown due to weaker economic activity. Moreover, other government decisions could disproportionately impair exposed operations and credit profiles. 'We expect Saudi issuers will continue tapping into the global and local capital markets to finance Vision 2030 initiatives - assuming no disruptions from the rising geopolitical risk,' the report said. S&P said that it will closely track the potential implications of rising leverage over the medium to long term, as the short term appears 'manageable'.
