Jeff Bezos marries Lauren Sánchez in over-the-top wedding in Italy
Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos married Lauren Sánchez in Venice, Italy, in an over-the-top wedding that the newlyweds have been celebrating for several days — even though they were already legally married.
On Friday evening, a tuxedo-clad Bezos, 61, and Sánchez, 55, exchanged vows on the San Giorgio Maggiore island in front of a barrage of star-studded guests including several Trumps, a couple Kardashians, a few Jenners, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Gates, Barbra Streisand and Orlando Bloom — sans Katy Perry, Page Six reports.
Attendees were reportedly greeted by the sounds of a gospel choir, which broke out into Whitney Houston's 'Higher Love' during the ceremony.
Family and friends cheered and whistled for the Mr. and Mrs., who sealed their marriage with a kiss.
The ceremony is expected to be followed by an extravagant reception that will spare no expense.
In fact, Page Six was told that the couple's three-day wedding weekend, which was organised by George and Amal Clooney's wedding planners, will cost an estimated $50 million.
'It's going to be perfect — everything they wanted and with everyone they love,' our source predicted last month.
The pair reportedly sourced almost all of their wedding goods from Venetian vendors, turning to the city's oldest pastry maker, Rosa Salva, and Murano glass blower Laguna B.
Before their big day, Bezos and the former news anchor — who rented out the entire Aman Venice hotel for their stay — geared up with an opulent welcome party at the Madonna dell'Orto church that ended early because of a thunderstorm.
They also hosted a pre-wedding foam party aboard his $500 million megayacht, Koru.
As Page Six previously reported, Bezos and Sánchez quietly donated to a number of local charities in Venice as part of their wedding planning process.
The revelation came about after protesters gathered all over the City of Canals to criticise the business magnate, arguing, 'If you can rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more tax.'
Bezos proposed to Sánchez aboard Koru in May 2023 after five years together.
The duo began dating in 2019; however, they avoided being seen together publicly until after their respective divorces were finalised.
Sánchez was previously married to Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shares son Evan, 19, and daughter Eleanor, 17. She is also mum to son Nikko, 24, whose father is Tony Gonzalez.
Meanwhile, Bezos shares three sons and one daughter with his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott.

Truth no bride will admit about Kylie Jenner's wedding guest move
When Kylie Jenner stepped out at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding, she knew exactly what she was doing. Her plunging, corsetted 'icy blue' dress (which, to anyone with eyes, is white) was destined for a million paparazzi photos and a thousand online debates. In the age of Instagram, every celebrity outing is an opportunity to make a statement, and the Bezos-Sanchez wedding was no exception. It was all about the spectacle. Jenner's bride-adjacent outfit felt intentional and designed to go viral – and it did. Social media erupted. Vogue 's Instagram post of the look was flooded with comments like, 'Who the f**k wears white to a wedding?' Others called it 'tacky' and said, 'You can't buy class'. One commenter asked, 'Has Kylie never been to a wedding before?' Now, you might think this is a trivial matter about rich people and fashion faux pas. And it is. But as someone who got married this year, I can tell you the personal toll a move like this can take. At my April wedding, which, surprisingly, didn't cause an entire Italian city to grind to a halt and was not attended by the Kardashian-Jenner clan, one of my friends wore cream. I know what you're thinking. Cream isn't white. And you're right. But it was close enough to cause a double-take in photos. I gently let her know it made me uncomfortable, but she insisted it 'wasn't white,' so it wasn't going to be an issue. And while, yes, it technically wasn't white, it did make me wonder why, out of all the colours in the world, she had to pick that dress. Here's the thing. In this day and age, many wedding guests, whether they're Kylie Jenner or my friend, seem to forget the basics of wedding etiquette. They get caught up in the moment, in what they're wearing, in how they will look in photos. And I get it. Weddings are a rare chance to dress up, to be seen, and frankly, to look hot. But somewhere along the way, the unspoken rule of 'don't wear white' has been forgotten. In fear of being labelled a 'bridezilla', I let the issue go and didn't say anything more about it. When the big day arrived, I was so caught up in the excitement of getting married that I hardly noticed or cared what anyone else was wearing. I was too busy laughing, dancing, and trying not to make ugly crying faces as I walked down the aisle (I didn't quite succeed at that last one). But in the months afterwards, a sour taste lingered whenever I thought about that cream dress. It wasn't really about the dress itself – it was about the fact that, out of all the possible outfits, my friend chose to flirt with crossing the line, and even after I told her I wasn't okay with it, she persisted. And while everyone told me I was being petty to care, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was about more than just the dress. You really don't understand until you're a bride, groom, or anyone planning a wedding, for that matter. You (hopefully) only get one day in your life where everything is about you. When a friend, who could quite literally wear anything to your wedding, chooses to push boundaries with their outfit, it makes you wonder: why? Is it an innocent choice, or a subtle power play? In the words of Succession, 'Was this a snubbing?!' My friend told me it was the only dress she could find that made her feel confident, and while I want her to feel her best, surely, there's a wedding pecking order in terms of who deserves to feel the best. I even worry I seem vain for discussing this. But the comments on Vogue 's post validate me, suggesting that for most people, wearing white to a wedding is still a big no-no. If we give Jenner the benefit of the doubt and assume Sanchez approved her outfit, I'm still baffled as to why she chose to make a statement at that moment, on someone else's special day. But honestly, maybe I shouldn't be that surprised. For celebrities, controversy is just another form of publicity, and maybe Sanchez was even in on it to create more buzz for the wedding, not that it needed it. But for the rest of us, it can feel more like a personal slight. So, if you're invited to a wedding soon, please, please, please, think twice about wearing pale colours. You might just make someone feel a little less special on their big day.

British star Matthew Goode reveals dark reason Bond producers rejected him
Matthew Goode has revealed the dark reason James Bond producers rejected him moments after meeting him. James Bond bosses have been whittling down the long list of actors for years in a desperate bid to find the man who will replace Daniel Craig. Barbara Broccoli, 65, along with her brother Michael G. Wilson, 83, were the producers of the Bond franchise before they were replaced by Amazon MGM Studios for a massive $1 billion dollar deal in February. And before they chose Craig, Dept. Q star Goode revealed on Thursday's episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he was personally invited for a sit down chat with the producers who were seemingly interested in potentially having him be the new Bond before the role eventually went to Craig. However, sadly the meeting didn't go as the actor had planned. 'I didn't get to the audition,' remarked the star. 'But it was quite a funny one because — and she's gorgeous and just a lovely, lovely person — she was like, 'So what's your idea for Bond?' And I was like, 'My idea for Bond. We've gotta take it back to the books, you know? Really, we absolutely have to make this guy an alcoholic, a drug addict. He hates himself. He hates women. He hates a lot of people. He's in deep pain. He's brilliant at killing people.'' Goode confessed that his vision for the character didn't end up sitting well with the then producers, who swiftly dismissed him from the meeting. Goode reflected: 'I think by the end of the interview, she was like, 'Mhmm. Next.' I wanted to make it really dark.' 'I should have said was, 'But also incredibly charming.'' laughed the star. 'Ultimately, you know. What they did get was Daniel Craig.' Meanwhile, the rumour mill has been continually whirring as to who will take on the iconic 007 gig. But most recently, it was Aaron Taylor-Johnson who has dropped hints that he'll be stepping into Bond's shoes. The Marvel movie star, 34, recently signed a deal with Omega – the brand of watch the 007 spy wears. Omega has been supplying timepieces to the iconic movie character since the release of 1995's Golden Eye. When asked previously whether he would step into Bond's shoes, the Marvel star said: 'I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role. I take it as a great compliment.'
