'Distinctive' designer perfume that 'lasts over 24 hours' 50% less in Boots deal
Purchasing a new perfume is something that can be both exciting and expensive. It can be even pricier if that said bottle is one that has earned a famed reputation over the years.
Fortunately, Boots has come to rescue our bank balance by offering up to half-price on major brands such as Calvin Klein, Armani, BOSS, Ghost, Davidoff and much, much more.
One that has earned an almost perfect rating is the Givenchy Amarige Eau de Toilette, with reviews calling it a "timeless" and "distinctive" scent that has been a staple for many since the early 90s.
Even better, a large 100ml is now just £54.50, although it would usually cost £109, meaning shoppers are saving a full 50 percent off the RRP. Priced at £74.99 at The Perfume Shop, Boots is offering the better deal for customers.
Making its debut in 1991, Givenchy's Amarige, which is an anagram of the word mariage, has been described as a "veritable hymn to love" and was initially created as a fragrance for summer, so perfect for this time of year.

Product Description
Its scent makes up a "beautiful bouquet of white flowers", with top notes of tangerine, violet and rosewood being mixed with heart notes of gardenia, mimosa, red fruits and ylang-ylang.
The scent then finishes on "vibrant yet muted" base notes of ambergris, precious woods, musks and vanilla. The bottle, which was designed by perfume legend Pierre Dinand, takes inspiration from the ruffles sleeves of a Bettina Blouse designed by Givenchy.
Looking for something a touch more modern, but with the same floral scent? Then Gucci's Flora Gorgeous Gardenia also boasts a floral-powered scent, with a 30ml now costing £41.49 after being reduced from £70.
A bolder floral fragrance that other shoppers might want to consider is the Jimmy Choo Blossom Eau de Parfum, currently a number one bestseller on Amazon where a 40ml has been reduced from £36 to £18.95.
As for the Givenchy fragrance, it has currently earned itself a 4.8 rating based on multiple reviews from Boots shoppers who have praised it as "so classy" and "the best perfume of all times."

One five-star review read: "I bought this on offer at Boots, it was around £30 cheaper than anywhere else! It has an amazing timeless distinctive scent must be tried!"
A second loyal fan said: "The best perfume of all times! So classy! I'm glad it is back for it has been my signature perfume for more than a decade. Intense. Long lasting. Amazing. Complements galore!"
While a third fan remarked: "I have been using this perfume for almost 20 years - even now I am still complimented on the scent. I don't know how to describe it really, but it's different to a lot of the overpowering floral scents that are popular at the moment, it's classy and I love it. My daughter loves it too!"
Beauty deal of the week
Beauty fans looking to get a golden glow will know the benefit of tanning drops.
One bottle that has "blown away" shoppers is the Garnier Ambre Solaire Natural Bronzer Self Tan Face Drops - and they cost under £11 a bottle.
Ideal for those who don't want to go through the hassle of using a tanning mitt to prevent patchiness or orange-tones, these "lightweight" drops can be easily mixed into your favourite moisturiser for a flawless glow.
Since the drops offer a "buildable" bronzed look, many reviews have suggested that one of the positives is the ability to "control" the depth of their tan, unlike other products that deliver just one specific shade.
Enriched with skin-loving ingredients hyaluronic acid and coconut water, these Garnier drops also work to keep your skin "intensely moisturised" day by day.
Of course, with the reputation Garnier's Natural Bronzer Face Drops have earned, it's no surprise they have 4.2 rating based on over 2,000 reviews on Amazon alone, as shoppers call them a "little bottle of magic" for a "natural sun-kissed glow."
One purchaser said: "Blown away! I'm not a phaffer. I generally don't bother with things like tan and bronzer. But this little bottle of magic changed all that! I love it! I pop it on with my moisturiser and a couple of hours later I am actually glowing!
"I've been asked repeatedly if I've been on holiday, lost weight, got a new person, had a facelift or found a genie in a bottle. I'm so scared of running out I've stocked up!!"
Shop the Garnier Ambre Solaire Natural Bronzer Self Tan Face Drops for £10.67 on Amazon here.
As perfume preferences can differ, one shopper did find the scent a little "mature" for a younger audience. They said: "I purchased this perfume based solely on the reviews that I read here. I decided to give it a try.
"Not the type of fragrance that I was looking for. I am 29, I believe that a more mature in age woman would appreciate this fragrance. Not what I was expecting."
Nevertheless, another positive review read: "It smells really good and the perfume lasted for more than 24 hours."

BBC Radio legend exposes huge music icon as the most 'unpleasant' celeb she's ever interviewed
Radio legend Jo Whiley said the star left her feeling "so tiny and so stupid" during their interview. BBC Radio One legend Jo Whiley has revealed the name of the rudest famous person she's ever interviewed in a jaw dropping confession. The 60-year-old veteran broadcaster interviewed countless stars during her time as a radio DJ. However, speaking to fellow presenter, Zoe Ball, on their Dig it podcast recently, Jo admitted there was one celebrity who shattered her confidence during an interview which left her feeling "stupid". When asked by Zoe if she had ever felt starstruck during an interview, Jo recalled an interview with one of the world's biggest rappers but it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Jo told Zoe she was left feeling "so tiny" after interviewing hip hop legend Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, the Mirror reports. She explained: "I remember interviewing Eminem and Dr Dre one time and that was horrible. "I'd interviewed Eminem when he was very young and he was very shy and polite. He kept calling me "ma'am" all the time and he was really, really sweet and humble. "Then a couple of years later he came back on the show but with Dr Dre and the fame had happened and he was just this other creature altogether. "They were just so playful with me - and can I just say they made me feel so tiny and so stupid." It comes as the radio DJ insisted she is not slowing down any time soon after turning 60 last month and saying that she doesn't think milestone birthdays are a "big deal". The mum-of-five said that the interview with Eminem was overall "a really unpleasant experience" as she and Zoe chatted about being starstruck by the rich and famous. Her admission comes after the broadcaster opened up about how she had been struck down by anxiety at the height of her DJing career in the 90s. She told Woman's Health: "I remember doing one gig and I was just so scared, I thought I can't go on like this. This is ridiculous. "It's ruining my life because I'm just such a ball of anxiety. "But then I realised how happy it was making people when I do these gigs and that was a game changer." Jo, is still one of the most sought after DJs in the industry and insisted her 60th birthday, which she celebrated last month, is just the same as any other. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! She told Woman and Home: 'Another birthday really isn't a big deal for me because I don't see age as important. "It's something that you very much don't want to be a thing, but it becomes a thing because everybody focuses on it and asks you about it constantly. "It's a bizarre situation to be in because I'm only another year older than I was last year, and a year younger than I will be next year. There's an obsession with reaching certain milestones due to your age. People focus on it too much."

Oasis gigs at Murrayfield will have major ban enforced amid concerns about fans safety
Oasis are set to play Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium this weekend for the first time in fifteen years. Oasis are set to play three huge shows at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium this week with a no-fly zone being put in place for the gigs. Aviation watchdogs have strictly forbidden drones over the stadium amid worries that a device could fall from the sky and injure fans below. Anyone caught using the gadgets will face a fine amid a huge security operation at Murrayfield. Similar rules were brought in for Oasis' comeback performances in Manchester's Heaton Park and Cardiff's Principality Stadium last month, the Sun reports. Brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are set to take to the stage in Scotland for the first time in fifteen years this week. They will play three sold out shows on Friday August 9, Saturday August 10 and Tuesday August 12. A source said: 'Banning drones above the gigs is the right move. "All it takes is something to go wrong or someone who doesn't know how to properly fly a drone to make a mistake. "If one falls into the crowd people could end up badly hurt.' A Civil Aviation Authority spokesman added that the ban was 'in the public interest'. An estimated 210,000 fans are expected to flock to the Capital to attend the sold out gigs. Concert goers will face strict rules with metal water bottles, large bags, hip flasks and umbrellas among the banned items. Anyone found with knives, pyrotechnics or drugs will be reported to police immediately. A Scottish Rugby spokesman said security was 'of the upmost importance' at the gigs. The concerts clash with Edinburgh's world famous Fringe arts bash of over 3,800 shows. Police said a 'proportionate and considered plan' is in place' to keep visitors safe. A force spokesman added: 'We are working to ensure the safety of those attending events and minimise disruption.' It comes after an Oasis fan tragically fell to their death during a gig at London's Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. Lee Claydon, who has been described as a "lovely family man" sadly passed away at the gig at the weekend, having suffered 'injuries consistent with a fall'. Lee was pronounced dead at the scene after his fatal fall at the concert. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Oasis have publicly acknowledged his death in a statement as they said they were 'shocked and saddened' to hear of the death during their sell-out Wembley show this weekend. The band said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.' Oasis played their final gig at Wembley the following evening on August 3 after five nights in the venue. Their next stop is now Edinburgh for three nights at Murrayfield Stadium.

Princess Andre admits there were 'dark times' during her childhood in heartbreaking confession
Princess Andre, who is the daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, said she 'wishes she had a happier childhood' as she opened up on growing up in the spotlight with her quarreling parents. Princess Andre has made a heartbreaking admission about her childhood as she confesses she wishes it was a happier time for her. The 18-year-old, who is the daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, candidly opened up about "dark times" in her own TV show. The teen is now ready to make her career in the spotlight, having watched both her famous parents thrive in their showbiz careers. Princess let cameras into her home as a part of her new ITV2 series, The Princess Diaries, as she paves her way into becoming a successful influencer. However, during the programme, Princess admitted that things haven't always been easy for her. It comes after her controversial mother, Katie Price, recently sparked concern among fans over her very slimmed down appearance. Princess has addressed some of her traumatic memories of her glamour model mum's very public divorce from her dad Pete, as well as Katie's other highly publicised relationships, the Mirror reports. In a candid confession, Princess said: "I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then. "But I don't feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age." Princess said she wishes she "wasn't like that" and that she had to go through things lingering at the back of her mind while being very young. However, she did acknowledge other "good times" in her childhood and spoke about Katie's split from Kieran Hayler when she was 10-years-old. Katie and Kieran were married for eight years but had an on and off relationship, with accusations of infidelity. They officially separated in May 2018 but were married from 2013 to 2021. The former couple share kids, Jett and Bunny. Princess admitted "everything kind of went downhill" as she and her siblings got "really close to him and loved him." "My mum, obviously being heartbroken, didn't deal with that in the best way, she went through a very, very dark time, which is understandable. "Which is hard for me because I was around adulty things that kids should never see and I think as well, when we needed our mum there, she wasn't emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on." In a heartbreaking admission, she shared how she would come home from school early to "get into bed and cry". Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! The model explained she has "always grown up knowing my mum and dad don't like each other." Princess added: "I wouldn't say I'm fully, fully recovered from it but mum is such a different person and if you put her now to back then, she's genuinely really fixed herself."
