Their powerful performances of the Bahrain and Philippine national anthems inspired the audience, while their harmonious voices echoed a feeling of camaraderie and nationalism. In her keynote address, Ambassador Louis highlighted the growing bilateral relationship between Bahrain and the Philippines. Bilateral relations 'Since the establishment of bilateral relations in 1978, Bahrain and the Philippines have been strong partners through cooperation in trade and investment, culture and the arts, skills training, migration, and employment among others,' Ambassador Louis said. She also conveyed the Philippines' support for efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in the Middle East through dialogue and diplomacy, and to promote peace and stability in the region. Ceremonial cake-cutting was included in the activity for the night, representing a continued diplomatic tradition that is symbolic of being together and celebrating each other.

Bangladesh Embassy in Bahrain Hosts Open House for Expatriates to Voice Concerns and Receive Immediate Feedback

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Manama, Bahrain hosted an Open House on the evening of Friday, 25 April 2025 to provide a platform for Bangladeshi expatriates to voice their concerns and receive direct feedback. The session was chaired by the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain, His Excellency Mr. Md. Rais Hasan Sarower, ndc, and saw the participation of the officers and officials of the Embassy along with a volunteering legal consultant and a medical professional. More than a hundred Bangladeshi nationals from diverse backgrounds, namely businesspersons, journalists, and leaders of various Bangladeshi community organisations, were present during the Open House. It was a very interactive session as attendees were encouraged to raise their concerns and issues in this public forum to not only have their voices be heard, but also receive immediate advice, guidance, and resolution from the Embassy. During his welcoming address, His Excellency Ambassador Mr. Rais Hasan thanked the attendees, and stressed on the importance of such public engagements. He encouraged suggestions and constructive criticism for improved transparency and accountability in addressing the community's issues. He urged everyone's adherence to the laws of Bahrain to maintain a positive image of Bangladesh, and requested the continued use of legal remittance channels. The Ambassador attentively listened to the community's grievances, and provided assurance that the Embassy is committed to addressing them. He expressed his sincere appreciation for the public's feedback, highlighting its crucial role in enhancing the Embassy's services, transparency, accountability, and responsiveness, while also noting ongoing efforts to raise awareness on important aspects of local life within the Bangladeshi community in Bahrain. The Bangladeshi expatriate community was invited to attend the Open House through a notice on the Embassy's verified Facebook page to directly voice their queries, concerns, and complaints to His Excellency the Ambassador, who provided immediate responses and solutions. Later, the community was advised to send their problems in writing to the embassy for follow-up and resolution. A strong turnout of Bangladeshi expatriates working in various professions in Bahrain spontaneously joined the event, making it a success.
