In their search for attacking reinforcements, Ajax have turned to Ballo, a wideman who recently made his debut for the Austrian national team. 'Ajax, Rangers, and Mainz are all keeping an eye on Ballo and have inquired about the 23-year-old winger from Wolfsberger AC,' reports Florian Plettenberg.

'No decision has been made yet, because several teams are interested in him.' The Austrians expect bids for Ballo to come in this summer. 'Discussions are ongoing.'
Although born in the Ivory Coast, Ballo holds Austrian nationality after being raised there. The striker has been part of the youth academies of LASK, Bayer Leverkusen, and Chelsea in recent years. The West London club loaned him to Rapid Wien in 2021, and eventually saw Ballo make a free transfer to Wolfsberger AC a year later.
Wolfsberger finished the regular season fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga, with Ballo contributing 10 league goals and six assists in 31 matches. According to transfermarkt.com, the one-cap international has a market value of approximately five million euros.

Rodri returns to full Manchester City training as comeback nears
Rodri returns to full Manchester City training as comeback nears Manchester City midfielder Rodri has returned to full team training after recovering from his ACL injury according to Sky Sports. In a video posted by the broadcaster, the reigning Ballon d'Or winner was seen at City's Etihad Campus, passing the ball around with fellow players. Advertisement While it is unclear when the Spanish EURO 2024 winner will make his on-pitch return, his appearance in training is a major boost to Pep Guardiola ahead of a pivotal few months. City are looking to confirm their place in next season's Champions League through a top five Premier League finish, while they will face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on May 17. If the final four league games or the Wembley showpiece come too early for Rodri, it is now very likely he will be part of City's squad for the Club World Cup which takes place over June and July. 📸 Justin Setterfield - 2024 Getty Images

Hamburger SV signs Israel goalkeeper Daniel Peretz on loan from Bayern Munich
HAMBURG, Germany (AP) — Israel goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is joining promoted Hamburger SV from Bayern Munich on loan for next season. 'Daniel has continued to develop at FC Bayern over the past two years, and we are very pleased with him,' Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund said Monday. 'He has really good skills and an outstanding character. He's always reliable in our goalkeeping team led by Manuel Neuer. Now he'll gain further experience and plenty of Bundesliga minutes at Hamburger SV.' That's not a given, as established goalkeeper Daniel Heuer Fernandes is a club favorite at Hamburg after helping it to promotion last season. The 32-year-old Heuer Fernandes showed he's in fine form with several saves in a friendly game at Austrian team Sturm Graz on Saturday. The 25-year-old Peretz made seven competitive appearances for Bayern since joining from Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2023, but found it hard to break through with Neuer still preferred as No. 1 and Bayern signing the 21-year-old Jonas Urbig from Cologne in January. Peretz has also played seven games for Israel. ___
