At present, Amar Kaushik is busy with a horror-comedy that he's producing. He will begin filming his segment for Lust Stories 3 very soon.
When the first season of Lust Stories dropped on Netflix in 2018, it turned out to be a disruptor, for all good reasons. Intimacy almost wasn't a hush-hush topic anymore as mainstream actors shed off their inhibitions and portrayed male and female desires across demographics, age, gender, marital structures and socio-economic stratum. Kiara Advani's much-talked-about self-pleasuring sequence in Karan Johar's segment broke barriers, defied norms and proved to be a game-changing move for her career.
What Lust Stories also grabbed attention for was bringing together a bunch of directors from different schools of cinema under one roof. The first season saw Karan, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Dibakar Banerjee helming short stories. The second season that released in 2023 had R Balki, Konkona Sensharma, Amit Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh exploring themes of love, violence and relationships interlaced with intimacy and sex. The third season of Lust Stories is also in the works and as per reports, the shoot is all set to begin this year.
Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao and Shakun Batra have reportedly been roped in to direct three shorts. And now, News18 Showsha has an exclusive update on the fourth filmmaker, who will be joining the trio. This is a director who's currently much sought-after and has delivered the biggest Bollywood hit of 2024 that grossed more than Rs 800 crore at the worldwide box office. It is none other than Amar Kaushik. At present, he's busy with a horror-comedy that he's producing. He will begin filming his segment for Lust Stories 3 very soon.
A well-placed source tells us, 'It's true that Vikramaditya, Kiran and Shakun will be directing three films for Lust Stories 3. The fourth addition is Amar Kaushik. This will be the first time that he'll be stepping out of the Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe. While much isn't known about his short film, one may expect comical elements as that's what Amar's storytelling has become popular for. He's one of the busiest filmmakers today and the creators of Lust Stories 3 were extremely keen on having him onboard."
Amar is currently busy with Thama, a vampire horror-comedy starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Additionally, he'll also be directing the sequel to Bhediya and the third part in the Stree franchise. While Bhediya 2 is set for a release on August 14, 2026, Stree 3 will hit the screens a year later on August 13, 2027. As for Lust Stories 3, details about the cast are still kept under wraps but one can expect some of the most prominent names of Bollywood to assemble for the next instalment of the franchise.

Shah Rukh Khan's most expensive film became India's biggest flop, earned Rs 9 crore, budget was Rs..., name is... Shah Rukh Khan continues to be one of the biggest and influential Indian stars over the last three decades. He has consistently proved his mettle as an actor with numerous box office hits and captivating performances. But like every other superstar, there are some box office bombs amid his superhits. In 1995, Shah Rukh Khan had seven film releases, and among there were massive hits like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Karan Arjun , along with semi hits like Guddu and Ram Jaane . However, it was his final release of the year that proved to be the biggest flop of his career. The film was Mukul Anand's Trimurti , that saw Jacky Shroff and Anil Kapoor too in pivotal roles. Bankrolled by Subhash Ghai, the film was mounted on a budget of Rs 11 crore, the biggest for an Indian film at the time. Moreover, it even surpassed the record of Shanti and Ajooba for being the most expensive Indian film. Released on December 22, 1995, the film had earned Rs 1 crore on day 1 at Indian box office, a record-breaking opening for any Indian film. However, bad reviews and negative word of mouth led to the film's downfall and impacted overall collections. In the end, Trimurti's final earnings were just Rs 9 crore, less than its budget. Despite the massive star power, the film couldn't be saved and was disappeared from theatres in just two weeks. Trimurti was the last release of filmmaker Mukul S Anand, who passed away due to heart attack while filming for Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt-starrer Dus in 1997. Anand is known for his previous hit directorial projects such as Agneepath, Hum, Khuda Gawah, Sultanat, and Insaaf.

I Know What You Did Last Summer: 10 burning questions the ending finally answers

The hook is back, and this time, it's personal and cuts deep. The 2025 reboot of the 1997 horror I Know What You Did Last Summer pulls a new group of friends into the same nightmare. Writer-director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and co-writer Sam Lansky bring in Ava (Chase Sui Wonders), Danica (Madelyn Cline), Milo (Jonah Hauer-King), Teddy (Tyriq Withers), and Stevie (Sarah Pidgeon), a fresh batch of twenty-somethings who make a fatal mistake and bolt. What starts as a direct reboot turns into darker, messier, and way more twisted, packed with returning faces and brutal betrayals. Let's break down that wild ending with 10 burning questions. Spoilers Ahead Ava, Danica, Milo, Teddy, and Stevie are a group of friends living in Southport, N.C. One Fourth of July night, they cause a accident while over-speeding when a truck swerves to avoid them, crashes through a guardrail, and falls off the cliff with the driver inside. They try to help, decide to call cops, but panic and run. Teddy's dad, Grant (a powerful real estate guy), uses his influence to bury it. The story begins a year later when all those friends are now nearly estranged. However, once they arrive back in Southport, Danica gets a note: 'I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER.' Soon after, people around them are murdered by a Fisherman, just like in the original two stories, with a hook and speargun, mimicking the 1997 killing spree. Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.) reprise their roles. Meanwhile, Sarah Michelle Gellar's Helen also has a small cameo when she appears in Danica's dream to warn her. Wyatt (Danica's fiancé), true-crime podcaster Tyler, Pastor Judah, along with Teddy, Milo, and Grant, are among those who were killed. This season we've got two hook-wielding pyschos, Stevie and Ray. Stevie's motive is driven by revenge after she finds out the driver they accidentally killed was Sam. This is the same person who helped her post rehab, her pseudo boyfriend. She didn't realise it at first, but rage drives her to become the Fisherman. But the bigger jaw-dropper is the involvement of Ray. Years of repressed trauma, being ghosted by Southport, and watching the town erase the past make him go insane. Stevie's grief starts to feel personal to him, and together they plot the same massacre. Ava and Danica try to escape on a boat, only for Stevie to make the big reveal she had been hiding from her friends. At first, Stevie plans to spare Ava, considering she was the only one at the time of the accident who argued that they should stay and help the victim, but she changes her plan as she attacks Danica, stabs her, and she falls off the boat. But just then, Ray shows up, pretends to save the day, even 'shoots' Stevie, and takes Ava back to the bar. Back at his bar, Ava finds Ray with a new bandage exactly where the Fisherman cut himself earlier. He attacks Ava and just in time, Jennifer Love Hewitt shows up. When Ray stabs Ava, Julie confronts him, demands answers, and even throws back her iconic 'What are you waiting for?' line. And, then Ava harpoons Ray from behind. That's horror code for: still out there. Danica is alive somehow washes up on shore. Last we see, she and Ava are on the beach, bruised, hungry, and cracking jokes about hunting Stevie down. Mid-credits, Julie visits Karla Wilson (Brandy), another survivor from the old sequel. Next we see Karla's face is crossed out in a photo with a threatening note. She asks, 'Who do we have to f— up this time?' Then credits roll. No sequel announcement yet but it might happen soon.
